But seriously, this unequip charge is costing players to not expirement therefore preventing players to see optimum set for their champions.
Plarium: If we dont charge for un-equipping artifacts, people are no longer going to buy those artifact packs. They will just keep swapping the best items. :) If you want to experiment with the heroes, make sure you have a heavy wallet first :P

Artiffact is a fun addition to the game having alot of unique type of effect and stuff but it would of been better if they let us change the artifact for the champion of the specific artifact so that we can see which artifact are better..the unequip charge are so punishing for new players to make some adjustment on their champion hope they make a change in the future

Artifacts make a huge difference. Not having a Silver fee would mean that you could re-equip your Champions or upgrade the artifacts anytime which would negatively affect the balance of the game. However, we're considering ways to improve these mechanics but we don't have any time frame for that at the moment. The selling of the artifact is based on its original stats when you get it in your inventory. Upgrading it is a choice so you do not get compensated for the additional upgrades. I wish we did though. Like on brutal 12-3 a 4 star shield sells for 9 to 11 thousand silver. While a 5 star sells for 20,000.

I just started to play this game 1 week ago, it's pretty fun and the missions are quite helping, the only problem is with the items switching charge, theres no game on this planet where you must pay silver in order to change items on a character, you either make them primary for a specific class of champions or you don't apply a charge at all, now I will have to quit because I didn't know much about how the set works on champions and I had to spend all my gold to equip them back with the proper artifacts as I wanted to do the quests where its mentioning just to equip some items now I have to pay silver that I don't have to switch it back to normal. If you are afraid of people abusing this just make the artifacts specifically for some champions only or for some class only as this silver charge is annoying, time consuming and expensive.

@Seth’s Raid, Gacha And More! i can see their reasoning behind the swap cost, after all what would happen if you could just check the arena, swap all your best artifacts with no cost to the champions that counters that team better, it would be kind of cheap to do that with no penalty and just keep 4 sets of artifacts around. since destroying is free, and anyways using anything lower than 4* usually isnt worth it (for me at least) unless there is no other option, its still not too hard to experiment as for the difficulty i get you, im not against your point there, hope you still can enjoy. also just in case, im f2p account lvl 40, not sure if thats worth much but still
@Seth’s Raid, Gacha And More! on the great hall im with you, i really feel the badge gain takes too long when starting out i get that the last levels of the hall should be hard to get, but im stuck on lvl 1 upgrades for the hall and even on silver in the arena the wait's quite long, but honestly, the price for exchanging artifacts never affected me really, however, taking artifacts to lvl 16 is a bit painful, after all, 120k to change a full set of 4* artifacts really feels much less than almost 2m to get something to +16 if lucky, if anything that and the hall are my main complaints
Alejandro Rodriguez i just started playing yesterday and I didn’t know I need to get a PhD first before playing this lol. I don’t think there’s much to look at there in terms of equipping the strongest sets to battle arena. I’ve battled several teams having less total team power and lose repeatedly. And it’s not for the lack of using the correct sequence of abilities. They just go off faster which means I need to stack speed equipment and even so that doesn’t guarantee things. So no it really won’t heavily imbalance the game by reducing or removing the cost of unequipping
This is a solid video that should explain plenty about artifacts for newer players, but the accuracy and resistance video that's mentioned here still hasn't been released. Hope to see it soon! Especially if it explains something about the formula the game uses.
A similar game had a nice system for equivalent of artifact management: a page you could pull up a hero and have access to _all_ artifacts (even equipped to other heros), along with a temporary set of slots. You could try different combos and see how it impacted stats in real time, and search / filter artifacts by type, boost, and slot. In the end you could decide to implement the temporary changes or toss them. It was a really good management system.
Wait WHAT? This game has been put for at least 6 months, artifacts have been in the game since launch and NOW your releasing a video about the BASICS of an already basic system? This game CAN be great but man is the content lacking and behind the times. Why does Epic 7 release content weekly yet Raid wants to take months for things that other game do at launch.
Also dont forget majority of the time what you'll get from the dungeons is complete garbage....... that is if you were able to make it through without the game crashing first
You are welcome! We intentionally added the option to swap the equipment for Silver, so that it doesn't lead to the disbalance on Arena and other battles as well. It's a common practice in lots of games. How many player are actif not much I guess . Take battle royals games as reference they make money from cosmetics new looks . I understand your reply and appreciate it, however if what you are saying about silver is to balance the game, why would you then sell it? With what you are saying this would unbalance the game then which completely counters your own argument. I've now been playing for a while and I do pay for some things, however there are a few things that are a concern..... Still, paying to unequipped gear. Charging different countries different prices and not in line with current conversation rates. Very expensive package which makes you have to decidd, trade long difficult grinding with limits due to energy's. Or pay high sums of money so you don't feel you have to spend every minute to progress or win prizes in evens. Fixes..... Scrap unequipped costs to help player enjoyment, Verity. Bring prices of packs down, you will get more money in the long term. Easier to get high level shards, this would show your not just after rewarding whales. If you did these small changes your game would be more popular and bigger within a month, I guarantee this
We believe that freely swapping all Artifacts between Champions can potentially lead to undesirable consequences. It will allow to re-purpose a team for different Dungeons or for every individual opponent in the Arena - which is not something we think is fair or should happen. Well awesome. I think something like seeing your power gain before you commit to new equipment would just be helpful. Then spending a S ton of silver would feel more experimental then just a waist of silver.
It's a dev account. You ever see another account with more than 100 characters in the character pool? Dead give away. I'm sure they haven't "spent" much of any energy on that account.
Would it be possible to incorporate a "reforge" option for artifacts? For when the random upgrade system applies stacks to the most unneeded stat the artifact has to offer.
Please take off the charge for taking gear off, I spent energy and time farming it, I can only pay for leveling them up but taking off my own champion's gear is UNFAIR. Silver isn't unlimited, Sometimes i just need to speed tune or crit rate tune my champ but I can move the gear around to accomplish that without silver, it's freaking expensive. taking a gear off is 50,000 or 100,000 coins for one piece, but the reward you guys give us on daily is only 20,000 coins or 7500 wtf that is not fair. EVERYTHING costs in this game, can anything be fun.

Yo, hunter. I'm having trouble with mission number 71. It says equip 2 attack champions with level 4 artifacts with rank 12 with attack as primary stat (boots, chestplates, and gloves). I made sure I'm equipping the attack champions, artifacts are level 4 and with attack as primary stat, then upgrading to 12. Did this several times. Any advice?

Hello I started playing this game about 3 weeks ago. I have never played a game like this before and feel the minimal training you get as you are walked thru the first few steps is less than adequate. If there is a good guide out there that gives more than a brief overview of what things are but not instructions for getting/using/euipping them I can't find them . I have been trying for 3 weeks to equip a rare atk champion with 6 artifacts.
What is the relationship between the rarity of an artifact and the number of stars on it? Is a rare artifact with 3 stars better than an epic artifact with one star?

To the people complaining about silver cost, I thought the same way at lower levels. I found it ridiculous that I could spend thousands of silver just getting to level 10 or higher artifact. BUT!! I am a higher level now and if you farm the later campaign chapters, like Brimstone Path, you get nearly 6k silver for stage 6 and if you are farming stage 6 that means you are more than likely getting uncommon/common artifacts that can sell for even more silver. I currently have 8.23 MILLION silver. One of the main points of the game is to level up champions and in doing so you obtain essentially unlimited silver. When I do the 30 daily auto runs that is potentially 30 artifacts of various ranking that can be sold. I can get 200k-300k easily. I haven't gone below 5 million silver in a month and I've been playing for a little over 2 months.
I understand all of that just like I told my clan members I understand the game but it doesn't make it less annoying but it seemed like the people in Reid Shadow Legend see the problem with this game mechanic
How about removing the cost to equip so we can try more combinations. This restriction is killing your game and out of the 15+ artifacts available, ONLY 4-5 are even used. THINK ABOUT THAT.

@@RaidShadowLegends There already is an option to delete for free and it is terrible because it doesn't even ask for confirmation. many, including myself have already "destroyed/deleted" items by accident and not compensated for this terrible interface. How is it important? The player has already earned the artifact and the leveling is already a huge silver sink. This cost is just prohibitive and unnecessary.

I understand you use RNG as a key part of the game, but is it really needed in this case? Upgrading artifacts at level 12 and above is pure bullcrap. Even spending 1M silver is no guarantee that your 5 star artifact will be upgraded to level 16.
Say what you will about Raid's game play, the support staff and channel here are very active when replying to criticism about the game and they let people know well in advance about updates. Also I'm in the end game and F2P and the unequip cost doesn't bother me much, farming silver is easy enough. The only problem I even have with the game is the amount of luck needed to get artifacts from level 15 to level 16.
Hello! High-level Artifacts give Champions incredible bonuses and extra stats. It's true; upgrading Artifacts takes patience and silver. Yet, do it once, and you will be taking advantage of your high-level equipment for a very long time. -Alina
I am okay with the whole idea of the artifact system in RAID. It is fun and interesting, even though it can be very frustrating, and cost a lot of silver. However, it does give that feeling of achievement, when you find just the right artifacts, get good luck with getting them leveled up to 16, and then seeing the huge stats your champion gets from wearing the set. If this was easy, it would lose the impact. After saying all that, I have an issue with "flat" stats. Flat bonuses to HP, ATK, and DEF are incredibly weak, when compared to the % increase versions of those stats. They make sense for a 1 level increase from level 1 to 16, when it is the primary stat, but it is way under powered for secondary stats, which only upgrade once every 4 levels. Maybe Plarium could rework them, so they make more sense? Maybe for 4^ and 5* artifacts, they could become double the increase they are now, and for 6* artifacts (which are only found in the end game), they could be triple the increase.... They would still be under powered, when compared to percentage increase stats, but at least it would not be so incredibly punitive. That would make a good balance, IMO.

If you (Plarium) are concern about the whales abusing it, make one day of the week as a free day for swapping/switching gears, just one day. This way f2p and low spenders will wait for that day and whale will still spend their coins in any day coz they are whales f

Lmao I never unequipped my gear I manly go for 3 to 5 star gear that is rare , epic , or legendary from the shop. Unequiping cause to much my as well put that silver to upgrading equipment.

Using Silver to swap Artifacts is an aspect of the game balance, and its amount as well. To make things easier, we offer various ways to farm Silver and the process is fairly easy. We're also thinking about launching events when you can unequip the artifacts for free and adding an option to delete equipped artifacts without any fee but we cannot guarantee this will be implemented. - Alina
I like the game tho but do I have to go to uni to really enjoy this game. There is just so much to take in than studying medicine and so much technical terms than studying PhD... I like the game but its to complex for the regular guy who just wants to have some fun to comprehend. Artifacts alone already got me confused. Then I worry about upgrading champions, how to ascend, ranking, champion combos, which zone to mine and for what... In short, this game is for PhD holders
It took me 1 million coins to.upgrade ONE artifact to level 15 its ridiculous . We need more coins from farming 12 thousand coin from one drop is not enough .

Artifacts are the main reason I’ve ever considered quitting your game. The RNG is horrendous! 9 times out of 10 if I get a great 5 or 6 star piece dropped I get screwed with the upgrade rolls. Seriously, 9 times out of 10 I have to trash them because of your terrible RNG. PLEASE fix your artifact RNG. I use too be a whale but have stopped spending money on your game because of this main reason. And it’s not just this, failing 10x in a row with ‘high” success rate is ridiculous. You REALLY need to fix your RNG or people will experience what I’m talking about and quit your game.

Debuff buff debuffs. Judging by the comments, this game will have very short lifespan. Because it actually is crap. First, you don't actually play the game, you just manage the champions, upgrade them, put on all the best gear you can get and so on. Second, the prices for extra artifacts are just ridiculous, €30-50+ for some items is outrageous. Most likely the devs are just looting the money from players as quick as possible before the game dies. Graphics is the only attractive feature of this game and that is it.

I just started to play this game 1 week ago, it's pretty fun and the missions are quite helping, the only problem is with the items switching charge, theres no game on this planet where you must pay silver in order to change items on a character, you either make them primary for a specific class of champions or you don't apply a charge at all, now I will have to quit because I didn't know much about how the set works on champions and I had to spend all my gold to equip them back with the proper artifacts as I wanted to do the quests where its mentioning just to equip some items now I have to pay silver that I don't have to switch it back to normal. If you are afraid of people abusing this just make the artifacts specifically for some champions only or for some class only as this silver charge is annoying, time consuming and expensive.
Please remove the cost of silver when removing an artifact. It makes no sense and limit players from experimenting which is the fun part of the game.

@Seth’s Raid, Gacha And More! i can see their reasoning behind the swap cost, after all what would happen if you could just check the arena, swap all your best artifacts with no cost to the champions that counters that team better, it would be kind of cheap to do that with no penalty and just keep 4 sets of artifacts around. since destroying is free, and anyways using anything lower than 4* usually isnt worth it (for me at least) unless there is no other option, its still not too hard to experiment as for the difficulty i get you, im not against your point there, hope you still can enjoy. also just in case, im f2p account lvl 40, not sure if thats worth much but still
@Seth’s Raid, Gacha And More! on the great hall im with you, i really feel the badge gain takes too long when starting out i get that the last levels of the hall should be hard to get, but im stuck on lvl 1 upgrades for the hall and even on silver in the arena the wait's quite long, but honestly, the price for exchanging artifacts never affected me really, however, taking artifacts to lvl 16 is a bit painful, after all, 120k to change a full set of 4* artifacts really feels much less than almost 2m to get something to +16 if lucky, if anything that and the hall are my main complaints
Alejandro Rodriguez i just started playing yesterday and I didn’t know I need to get a PhD first before playing this lol. I don’t think there’s much to look at there in terms of equipping the strongest sets to battle arena. I’ve battled several teams having less total team power and lose repeatedly. And it’s not for the lack of using the correct sequence of abilities. They just go off faster which means I need to stack speed equipment and even so that doesn’t guarantee things. So no it really won’t heavily imbalance the game by reducing or removing the cost of unequipping

This is a solid video that should explain plenty about artifacts for newer players, but the accuracy and resistance video that's mentioned here still hasn't been released. Hope to see it soon! Especially if it explains something about the formula the game uses.
A similar game had a nice system for equivalent of artifact management: a page you could pull up a hero and have access to _all_ artifacts (even equipped to other heros), along with a temporary set of slots. You could try different combos and see how it impacted stats in real time, and search / filter artifacts by type, boost, and slot. In the end you could decide to implement the temporary changes or toss them.
It was a really good management system.

Wait WHAT? This game has been put for at least 6 months, artifacts have been in the game since launch and NOW your releasing a video about the BASICS of an already basic system?
This game CAN be great but man is the content lacking and behind the times. Why does Epic 7 release content weekly yet Raid wants to take months for things that other game do at launch.
Also dont forget majority of the time what you'll get from the dungeons is complete garbage....... that is if you were able to make it through without the game crashing first

50K to remove a 5*, 100K to remove a 6* artifact is way too high.

I know right, it's your gears that you farmed, you own it, the only cost that is right is leveling it up. This game is such bullshit.
You are welcome! We intentionally added the option to swap the equipment for Silver, so that it doesn't lead to the disbalance on Arena and other battles as well. It's a common practice in lots of games. We're constantly working on improving the game further so maybe our developers will consider making certain updates, such as limited-time events for un-equipping.

Sorry Alina I don’t accept your explanation on this topic. I looks like a blatant cash grab, to force people to part with real money, because you don’t want to allow the simplest of in game transactions to be non monetised. How about a fair suck on the old Sav, make the game cheaper for all players, not just the ones who are prepared to pay 2 win. Blizzard did a similar thing with Diablo’s market place. It didn’t last long with the backlash.

How many player are actif not much I guess . Take battle royals games as reference they make money from cosmetics new looks . I've now been playing for a while and I do pay for some things, however there are a few things that are a concern.....
Still, paying to unequipped gear.
Charging different countries different prices and not in line with current conversation rates.
Very expensive package which makes you have to decidd, trade long difficult grinding with limits due to energy's. Or pay high sums of money so you don't feel you have to spend every minute to progress or win prizes in evens.
Fixes.....
Scrap unequipped costs to help player enjoyment, Verity.
Bring prices of packs down, you will get more money in the long term.
Easier to get high level shards, this would show your not just after rewarding whales.
If you did these small changes your game would be more popular and bigger within a month, I guarantee this

We believe that freely swapping all Artifacts between Champions can potentially lead to undesirable consequences. It will allow to re-purpose a team for different Dungeons or for every individual opponent in the Arena - which is not something we think is fair or should happen. We're considering ways of adjusting the feature in the future but there's no ETA yet.

Well awesome. I think something like seeing your power gain before you commit to new equipment would just be helpful. Then spending a S ton of silver would feel more experimental then just a waist of silver.

Please take off the charge for taking gear off, I spent energy and time farming it, I can only pay for leveling them up but taking off my own champion's gear is UNFAIR. Silver isn't unlimited, Sometimes i just need to speed tune or crit rate tune my champ but I can move the gear around to accomplish that without silver, it's freaking expensive. taking a gear off is 50,000 or 100,000 coins for one piece, but the reward you guys give us on daily is only 20,000 coins or 7500 wtf that is not fair. EVERYTHING costs in this game, can anything be fun.
So,will we ever get to see a formula on how ACC/RES works and how exactly it affects Debuff base rates to have a better understanding on what we're building or will have to just wing it all the way till someone determines that they can somehow extract those formulas from the game files for PC version?

Yo, hunter. I'm having trouble with mission number 71. It says equip 2 attack champions with level 4 artifacts with rank 12 with attack as primary stat (boots, chestplates, and gloves). I made sure I'm equipping the attack champions, artifacts are level 4 and with attack as primary stat, then upgrading to 12. Did this several times. Any advice?

Hello I started playing this game about 3 weeks ago. I have never played a game like this before and feel the minimal training you get as you are walked thru the first few steps is less than adequate. If there is a good guide out there that gives more than a brief overview of what things are but not instructions for getting/using/euipping them I can't find them . I have been trying for 3 weeks to equip a rare atk champion with 6 artifacts.
What is the relationship between the rarity of an artifact and the number of stars on it? Is a rare artifact with 3 stars better than an epic artifact with one star?

To the people complaining about silver cost, I thought the same way at lower levels. I found it ridiculous that I could spend thousands of silver just getting to level 10 or higher artifact. BUT!! I am a higher level now and if you farm the later campaign chapters, like Brimstone Path, you get nearly 6k silver for stage 6 and if you are farming stage 6 that means you are more than likely getting uncommon/common artifacts that can sell for even more silver. I currently have 8.23 MILLION silver. One of the main points of the game is to level up champions and in doing so you obtain essentially unlimited silver. When I do the 30 daily auto runs that is potentially 30 artifacts of various ranking that can be sold. I can get 200k-300k easily. I haven't gone below 5 million silver in a month and I've been playing for a little over 2 months.
I understand all of that just like I told my clan members I understand the game but it doesn't make it less annoying but it seemed like the people in Reid Shadow Legend see the problem with this game mechanic
How about removing the cost to equip so we can try more combinations. This restriction is killing your game and out of the 15+ artifacts available, ONLY 4-5 are even used. THINK ABOUT THAT.

@@RaidShadowLegends There already is an option to delete for free and it is terrible because it doesn't even ask for confirmation. many, including myself have already "destroyed/deleted" items by accident and not compensated for this terrible interface.
How is it important? The player has already earned the artifact and the leveling is already a huge silver sink.

Hi guys, love that you read the comments, really shows that you actually do care about our opinions. The RNG aspect when upgrading is very frustrating and expensive. I understand you use RNG as a key part of the game, but is it really needed in this case? Especially with the vast number of champions we need for Faction wars? more than 2 million silver to upgrade one artifact on one character due to bad ""luck" is a huge buzzkill!

Upgrading artifacts at level 12 and above is pure bullcrap. Even spending 1M silver is no guarantee that your 5 star artifact will be upgraded to level 16.

Say what you will about Raid's game play, the support staff and channel here are very active when replying to criticism about the game and they let people know well in advance about updates. Also I'm in the end game and F2P and the unequip cost doesn't bother me much, farming silver is easy enough. The only problem I even have with the game is the amount of luck needed to get artifacts from level 15 to level 16.
Hello! High-level Artifacts give Champions incredible bonuses and extra stats. It's true; upgrading Artifacts takes patience and silver. Yet, do it once, and you will be taking advantage of your high-level equipment for a very long time.

I am okay with the whole idea of the artifact system in RAID. It is fun and interesting, even though it can be very frustrating, and cost a lot of silver. However, it does give that feeling of achievement, when you find just the right artifacts, get good luck with getting them leveled up to 16, and then seeing the huge stats your champion gets from wearing the set. If this was easy, it would lose the impact.
After saying all that, I have an issue with "flat" stats. Flat bonuses to HP, ATK, and DEF are incredibly weak, when compared to the % increase versions of those stats. They make sense for a 1 level increase from level 1 to 16, when it is the primary stat, but it is way under powered for secondary stats, which only upgrade once every 4 levels.
Maybe Plarium could rework them, so they make more sense? Maybe for 4^ and 5* artifacts, they could become double the increase they are now, and for 6* artifacts (which are only found in the end game), they could be triple the increase....
They would still be under powered, when compared to percentage increase stats, but at least it would not be so incredibly punitive. That would make a good balance, IMO.

Lmao I never unequipped my gear I manly go for 3 to 5 star gear that is rare , epic , or legendary from the shop. Unequiping cause to much my as well put that silver to upgrading equipment.

Using Silver to swap Artifacts is an aspect of the game balance, and its amount as well. To make things easier, we offer various ways to farm Silver and the process is fairly easy. We're also thinking about launching events when you can unequip the artifacts for free and adding an option to delete equipped artifacts without any fee but we cannot guarantee this will be implemented.

Artifacts are the main reason I’ve ever considered quitting your game. The RNG is horrendous! 9 times out of 10 if I get a great 5 or 6 star piece dropped I get screwed with the upgrade rolls. Seriously, 9 times out of 10 I have to trash them because of your terrible RNG. PLEASE fix your artifact RNG. I use too be a whale but have stopped spending money on your game because of this main reason. And it’s not just this, failing 10x in a row with ‘high” success rate is ridiculous. You REALLY need to fix your RNG or people will experience what I’m talking about and quit your game.

Judging by the comments, this game will have very short lifespan. Because it actually is crap. First, you don't actually play the game, you just manage the champions, upgrade them, put on all the best gear you can get and so on. Second, the prices for extra artifacts are just ridiculous, €30-50+ for some items is outrageous. Most likely the devs are just looting the money from players as quick as possible before the game dies. Graphics is the only attractive feature of this game and that is it.
