    This SUV definitely surprised me in it's handling and overall space! I like the exterior appearance more than the GMC Acadia, however I would definitely choose the Acadia's interior. Hope you enjoy this review.

    I've been in the market for a 3 row for about a year. I have test drove basically every suv in this class. This is my favorite out of all of them.

      I really liked it as well and the only reason I liked the GMC Acadia AT4 a bit more was the infotainment system and toggles for HVAC. That 15" vertical screen is really good but the Traverse looks better on the outside

    I really like this one but wanted a v6. Ended up getting a 25 Acura mdx. A little smaller for a third row but didn’t need the extra space. It’s very quiet and the nicest riding suv I’ve driven.

      @@timj3664 I did enjoy driving the MDX Type S for a week but they are two opposites in driving dynamics in my opinion. The Traverse was very comfortable but the MDX was a lot of fun. Also the MDX ran up a higher tab on my gas bill but I was driving it like I stole it so 🤷

    GM is smart for making the Chevy screens horizontal and GMC screens vertical. Some people have a strong preference one way or the other, so it's good to cover both.

    • @Outsider.Reviews

      That makes sense. I still much prefer the vertical screen approach with the HVAC toggles at the bottom. Looks and feels amazing but this layout used to be my preferred one until I saw the GMC Acadia layout.

    I am looking at the Traverse or the silverado custom pickup. I am going back and forth because i want a truck, but i want my kids to enjoy long drives in the back seat of the truck for every weekend for sports travel.
    I am also looking at the Toyota highlander. Are the suv middle seats comfortable? Is the truck back seat comfortable?

    • @Outsider.Reviews
      @Outsider.Reviews  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@lisam1837 Both are very comfortable with plenty of leg room. My kid does love the Captain's chars on the Traverse but I think it boils down to, do you need it to be capable or comfortable? Trucks are very capable, offer good ground clearance, can tow more and can carry more in an open box. SUV's have lower clearance but higher comfort and accessibility to what you're carrying from the inside meaning your gear won't be subject to the elements. My kid plays Hockey so I would go with an SUV since nobody likes putting on cold gear lol

    Another solid point is the Chevrolet Traverse is now the highest ranked Midsize SUV in the JD Power reliability Report. Obviously this particular Traverse was not subject to this report since its a 3 year evaluation but it does increase trust overall in the Chevrolet name which should help make people feel better.

    American manufacturers have screwed the pooch on their cash cow Truck/SUV/CUV production by mating it with unreliable drivetrains which are planned obsolescence nightmares. As such the best choice for your money is a Toyota. If you won't buy foreign, buy an old, used American Truck/SUV/CUV and customize with quality drivetrains and parts.

    • @Maxwell1989

      The point is buy a new Toyota or update an old, used vehicle to avoid having to throw your money away on unreliable, new American lemons, planned to be obsolescent in 3 - 5 years. At $30000 - $75000 each that's an expensive and unhappy way to "buy American."

    • @Outsider.Reviews
      @Outsider.Reviews  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's a bit harsh, especially since these drivetrains have yet to be proven or disproven yet. Chevy is in the top 5 according to the 3 year reliability report and as for Toyota.... They are in hot water right now with needing to replace all Tundra engines which we are now hearing 2024s are being added to that list and Tacos have a big transmission issue... Oh and of course the stop sell on the Highlander for airbags is not helping. The thing is, only time will tell and we can't rely on reputation alone anymore. Since this model is a newly refreshed model, you can expect some recalls and issues like every brand has when they refresh or update a model

    • @rmichaelzachary8574
      @rmichaelzachary8574 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      According to dealerships and repair shops the Ford - GM shared drivetrains are failing within 30000 miles often and almost always within 60000 miles. Toyota drivetrains will go over 200000 miles with standard maintenance. But it's your money.
      Responsible mechanics say buy Toyota, upgrade old American OR ONLY LEASE new American for 3 - 5 years. Make your own decisions.

      @@rmichaelzachary8574 well I personally own a 2016 Mazda CX5 with 330k on it but what I am saying is we don't have the data on these new models because they are new and the data does not exist, therefore, making any assumptions on their reliability is just that... An assumption. Each model year is different and if you pay any attention to what Toyota has been going through in the last year.... You know that there's a lot of problems and it's because those models got new drivetrains. They will work it out eventually but, the facts remain they are problematic right now
