The Warning - Survive (Reaction) Video SURVIVE Live from MAYDAY TOUR SHOW from Mexico City shot August 2022 at Teatro Metropolitan • The Warning - SURVIVE ...
Same here! Love when I tell my friends that my favorite band is a hard rock trio from Mexico, then watching their amazement when they see them for the first time and hear their awesome music! They are my absolute favorite band and the best I’ve heard in over 50 years!
From what I learned, since I don't know Spanish, Teatro just means theater. They've played at a lot of teatros !! This one just happens to be the Metropolitan Theater!!
Si, Señor Steve! Also, non-Spanish speakers ought to know that all the vowels are pronounced...So Teatro is not "tea...tro," it's, te...a...tro. Spanish vowels are pronounced the same as Italian, Japanese and Hawaiian. I also notice that many reactors just read off the YT link, "CDMX" which means Ciudad Mexico. Ciudad = city.
This song is the very essence of what rock and roll is. It's not overly complicated. It's not too flashy. It's just good music. I've seen them do this multiple times and it always rocks. My favorite performance will always be from the TEDx in 2017. To think that three yong women, 16, 14, and 11 wrote something this good is mind boggling. I've been folowing The Warning since shortley before the Lunario CDMX concert and they never dissapoint.
They've probably played this song more times than we could count but look at the pure joy watching them play this! I love this band! Thanks for another great reaction!
I agree with your overall assessment. They are cute, fun, energetic, great songwriters, performers, and musicians. How can one not enjoy watching them?
Great reaction . . Btw . I like the new Victorycast intro . Well done I concider Ale as the leader of the band . . Pau and Dany obviously are out there . . Ale though is the one that keeps them in time both onstage and rehersals . . She doesnt need the click track to keep in time shes a metronome also with perfect pitch . If the other 2 are off . They get " the look" from Ale . . They say its scary . . Lol Great vid . Till the next time . . Bye from NZ 🍻🤟🇳🇿👍
Dang, made me emotional to see their commitment. And, did you notice how, near the beginning, Dani was revving the crowd up for Pau's vocals? Didn't have to.. shows their sisterly love I reckon. Just a beautiful band, in every way.
I was looking to see if anyone mentioned the synchronized choreography they have added to the song over the years. It's an early song, so they have played it a lot, I think they do it just to keep things fun for themselves. I see you caught the bass/guitar flip at 5:17. There is another at 3:03. I believe there are a few more, but we don't have the camera angels to see them in this video. At 3:13 Pau does the same head flip, and the shot before you can see Ale close to the drum kit, and Pau looking at her. So I think that may be another one.
Love it man. I love how you don't mince words when you don't like something, and how you don't mince words when you do like something. I'm with you on reacting to Pau back there. She's just incredible as a performer and then you watch her with her big glasses giving lectures and she seems like a librarian (thinking of the recent Decidides 'lecture' and performance she gave). She's an incredible human. The outro is agreed, one of the best, and I too could listen to it all day. It's amazing that they came up with this when they were 15, 13, and 10 and have stuck with it, almost completely unchanged. Maybe their greatest talent is knowing when something is exactly right and working until it gets there, then sticking with it. Takes a lot of in-built understanding of music to do that from a young age.
Rob, another fun reaction! Had a thought you’d do this after your outro comments in the Dull Knives reaction. You can see why this song is such a fan favorite and TW clearly have a blast playing this song which is so infectious. Thanks for doing this extra TW reaction. Watching the bond between you and these ladies is pure gold. 🤘
Pau’s drumming is so effortless, she puts more emotion into her singing than most solo singers manage. If you haven’t done already check out 23 and this is the end.
Love seeing Ale synchronized moves with Dany and Pau. Another outro that I love is the one for Runaway. Please do a reaction to that song, from Dakota bar
That outro and the one from Dull Knives are now legendary. A couple of songs from their first album that you should check out are "Runaway" and "Copper Bullets" from their appearance at Dakota Bar. Both well constructed, contain some surprises, and little Ale with some great harmonies on Runaway.
Some legendary bands seem annoyed that fans want them to play their old hits. I can't imagine The Warning ever not enjoying playing this song. They are truly having fun on that stage!
5:16 I always get a kick out of that coordinated guitar lift Dany and Ale do together. It’s something they often if not always do during Survive. It’s simple and subtle, but it’s often those little details that add so much to the performance.
That outro is one of the best and my favorite part of this video. They should've had a spotlight on Ale for that ending. But my other favorite parts happen at 3:12 and 5:27 when Ale and Pau have synchronized moves !!
SURVIVE Is just fanfriggintastic! I have never been able to figure out exactly why-it’s not that complex; The lyrics are good, but they aren’t thought-provoking or poetic; But there is something about it that just grabs ya and makes you head-bang along with Dany…and then stop so you can hear Alé on the bass outro! Pure Rock and Roll
Hey Rob, since you are a KISS fan, did you notice the synchronized moves they put in the performance at certain points in the song? Kinda subtle but gives a little flavor of the live ending to Deuce. I noticed it first when I saw them during their club tour in ‘22.
It’s always amazing that The Warning can always make you respond in ways you are not even aware of. I was tapping my foot hard to the song. Not even aware until I heard it through Ale’s outro….
Just the best. What else can be said? They played this in Boston at the show my daughter and I went to and it was a tiny stage with a few hundred people and maybe the best few musical minutes of my life. Rock on!
I love this tune. You mentioned enjoying Dany and Pau sharing vocals. They also share vocals on "Disciple" from the same concert. I think you would enjoy it. If you want a harder rock song, I would recommend "Queen of the Murder Scene". Also from the same concert.
Just an epic jam session. It never gets old. & you can tell they LOVE playing it. The ‘Free Bird’ of the 21st century. The song with an epic outro fans will always demand to be played.
This outro is just exciting and a wonderful stress reducer. Seriously, this is such a great song across the board. Your 100% right, the trading of vocals adds so much flavor. Ale's bass line just adds even more flavor to the song. ( Yes, i am on a diet, and The Warning is my daily sweetener) . 😅
I can't stress enough, this song is a radio hit. Years overdue. I'll bet Radio would cut down its outro for time on the air, however. But here's hoping .. someday. 🤘😜 I could see stadiums hollering its chant during sports games, etc. It's so catchy.
Hey Rob, maybe you can explain it, but Pau has something about her, a kind of magical aura that makes you love her for a thousand reasons and for none, really!
When I watch their AfterMovies and see Pau jumping around, making faces, having fun of everything and everyone around I cannot believe this is the same young lady who wrote Black Holes and 23 ....
That is a personal feeling for people. Speaking for myself (I have thought about it a lot) it is the combination of many factors. Very attractive and alluring (especially the evil eye head tilt) yet so cute and innocent, throw in a complete War Machine Animal on the drums and that infectious smile, and most importantly for me... she is so entertaining to watch, it's not just the playing, it's her facial expressions, she has fun and makes goofy faces to beats etc. All that said, I could write a description about all 3 for different reasons. But you are right, when I watch these girls I just want to hug them like a kitten.
I think I'm starting to understand why we're fans of The Warning. Pick a favorite song from the band, start listening to it loud and film your facial expression. If you start sincere smiling without realizing it, you're caught up in the magic. Like Rob's face on the screen in the last 45 seconds. I don't know about the younger generation, but if you are a generation x rocker like me, I think the lively energy, fun and youthful spirit that emanates from the Villarreal Velez sisters is like a lifeline thrown in the slow but insidious progression of time, at least it makes me feel the excitement of my past again, it brings back memories and I loved my those times. Thank you The Warning
hi, I was reviewing the reactions you made to the warning, and it seems to me that you haven't reached 23 yet. so I'm looking forward to you reaching it. another song where Pau is the leading voice, and that is full of feeling. ⚡🤘⚡🤘⚡🤘
Hello my friend. I have a suggestion for you from The Warning. You have to see these series of 5 songs, simply These girls playing RAW music at Sirius XM studio in NYC 2022. You'll like Danny's powerful and raw voice. Enjoy... Javier R. San Diego, CA.
I really do like that Honeycomb video intro. I could watch that for a minute or two.. I really love the ending of this song. Not bad for something created but teens & pre-teen .. I first heard it from the Ted Talk... 🤯🤘🎶✌️
I love how they have moments they do the same actions during the song Ale and Dany Guitar "swings" : 3:01, 4:20 (only Ale seen), 4:26, ; Repeats 5:09 (only Ale seen), 5:16. Ale and Pau head motion : 3:12, 5:27. I have seen them this for a long time and imagine they do this to have a bonding moment within the song and for the fans that notice it.
my favorite survive performance is when Hero the band jumped on stage and danced, I dont think it was planned because Dany looked surprised. it was great
Pua just having a blast . At this point ,this sing os just muscle memory, shes not even thinking about what her arms and lgs are doing .its fun to watch . I agree about the outro , its pretty amazing.
...and no broken sticks this time, LOL!🤣 You can definitely see a difference in Pau's drumming style between this version and the TedX 2017 show. She's become a lot more efficient, and her hits are even more powerful with less wasted energy. Dany's got more of a growl to her vocals now, and Ale of course, is just having fun doing Ale things! She could probably play this song in her sleep by now..😄 👍👍
Hey Rob. Thanks For Doing The Michael Schenker. I Think I Have A Must See Reco For You. I'm Pretty Sure 9 Out Of 10 Have Not Heard Of Her. When It Comes To Female Guitar. Sophie Lloyd Seems to Get Most Of The Rock Presses Attention. I Know The Guitar Work On This Will Be Right Up To What You Look For. Her Name Is Chantel McGregor The Song Is Daydream It Is A Robin Trower Cover. Not Sure If Robin Trower Was On Your Radar Back In The Day. The Clip Is 10.52 LionsGateVideo. There Are A Couple Different Clips. Go With The LionsGate. This Girl Blows Sophie's Doors Off. Yes 9 Out Of 10 Have No Clue Who She Is But Let's Educate She Is A He'll Of A Player !! And As Always The Warning Rocks PUH PAU !!
This is a great performance, but there are some aspects where I prefer the TEDx one (call them personal quirks). I like the intro with the piano better than the guitar one. I also prefer the sound of the Gibson (the one that caused Dany's back pain) in the final climax of the song.
Sup Rob!!! The end of that one is a banger is it not??? You need to check em out at the ted talk doing it as much younger ladies. Edit: There's Pau's high hat big foot stomp again!
I discovered them in October, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around how they're even real.
Seeing them live in person is gonna blow your mind! 🤘🤣🤘
It's an statistical nightmare, sisters, musicians, composers, perfets, and on top, humble
Yes correct.
@@genboyer - Yes, it took me much longer to learn CDMX, as I first tried looking for it as an airport code 🤣
The airport code for Mexico City is MMMX. CDMX stands for Ciudad de Mexico which is Spanish for Mexico city. That's my understanding.
@@2FlyCaptain - I've known what CDMX means for a while now... I said it took me much longer to learn it!
This song is the very essence of what rock and roll is. It's not overly complicated. It's not too flashy. It's just good music. I've seen them do this multiple times and it always rocks. 🤘
I love that during the outro, Pau changes her drum pattern every couple of bars, constantly until the end.
Kiss: 🎵God gave rock and roll to you 🎵
God: I gave The Warning to you🤘
maybe you don't believe that, but i have think the same more time.... that gift of pleasure maybe is a God of Rock&Roll gift! 🤣

To misquote: The Warning is proof God wants us to be happy.
The outro on this song is perfection.
They've probably played this song more times than we could count but look at the pure joy watching them play this! I love this band! Thanks for another great reaction!
I agree about the outro, definitely one of the best to any song.
My only disappointment when I saw them live was that they didn't play this song.
is one of the first songs, maybe I focus now on new songs.
Great comment Rob about the vocal abilities of this band. These ladies really do slay live! ⚡⚡⚡
I agree with your overall assessment. They are cute, fun, energetic, great songwriters, performers, and musicians. How can one not enjoy watching them?
Love how Dany sings with her eyes!
Great reaction . . Btw . I like the new Victorycast intro . Well done
I concider Ale as the leader of the band . . Pau and Dany obviously are out there . . Ale though is the one that keeps them in time both onstage and rehersals . . She doesnt need the click track to keep in time shes a metronome also with perfect pitch . If the other 2 are off . They get " the look" from Ale . . They say its scary . . Lol
Great vid .
Till the next time . .
Bye from NZ 🍻🤟🇳🇿👍
I love how Pau removes her ear piece during the intro to hear the crowd sing!
Dang, made me emotional to see their commitment. And, did you notice how, near the beginning, Dani was revving the crowd up for Pau's vocals? Didn't have to.. shows their sisterly love I reckon. Just a beautiful band, in every way.
LOL !!!! this was the same song she broke her drum stick at Tedx! what a huge difference in sound, wow!
Pau going crazy on the drums, Love it!
5:27 Synchronized head flips. Pau and Ale.
One of my favorite parts!
NICE... I never noticed that.
Ale and Dani also do a Bass and Guitar swing at 5:17@@victorycast
I was looking to see if anyone mentioned the synchronized choreography they have added to the song over the years. It's an early song, so they have played it a lot, I think they do it just to keep things fun for themselves.

At 3:13 Pau does the same head flip, and the shot before you can see Ale close to the drum kit, and Pau looking at her. So I think that may be another one.
@@tay13666 I agree. I think you’re right!
That finish by Ale is like the cherry on top. 😎👍
Love it man. I love how you don't mince words when you don't like something, and how you don't mince words when you do like something. I'm with you on reacting to Pau back there. It has been a fun ride!
The smile on their faces says it all.
These 3 young ladies can kick ass. They have a magnetic quality individually and together with an amazing wall of sound. Bravo
Love the ending of this song. Dani and Pau just going off while Ale holds it down.
Pau’s drumming is so effortless, she puts more emotion into her singing than most solo singers manage. If you haven’t done already check out 23 and this is the end.
I hope they never take this off the set list, but if they do, I hope they bring back the jar song and I would stuff it with this one!
Love seeing Ale synchronized moves with Dany and Pau. Another outro that I love is the one for Runaway. Please do a reaction to that song, from Dakota bar

This song (the TedX performance) was my intro to The Warning. I was stunned and hooked immediately.
Some legendary bands seem annoyed that fans want them to play their old hits. I can't imagine The Warning ever not enjoying playing this song. They are truly having fun on that stage!
I absolutely love this effing band myself Rob....love this song. Rock on Ladies
Never gets old. While I love their TedX version, hearing Dany and Pau's legitimate rock star voices just adds so much.
So let's talk about the best right hand in rock! It's how Dany builds these epic outros
That outro is so freaking good. Same as Dull Knives, pure fire.
Great review as usual Rob. Thank you!
THANK YOU!
Survive and Dull Knives are two of my faves. Thanks for the reaction. It is appreciated 👏.
5:16 I always get a kick out of that coordinated guitar lift Dany and Ale do together. It’s something they often if not always do during Survive. It’s simple and subtle, but it’s often those little details that add so much to the performance.
Followed by the synchronised head shake between Pau and Ale when Dany is back on the mic
Hell yeah bro! Is there anyone more Sassy than Pau on that intro!💪🏼❤️🤟🏼
That outro is one of the best and my favorite part of this video. They should've had a spotlight on Ale for that ending. But my other favorite parts happen at 3:12 and 5:27 when Ale and Pau have synchronized moves !!
Dany and Ale also have synchronized guitar swings twice in Survive along with Pau and Ale’s moves.
Bad ass, kick ass showstoppers ,smoke show ..The Warning🤘
Thanks I Fing love this band too. This version is awesome they really have fun on stage especially at the end it's amazing to watch. Thanks 🔥⚡
I wish they would do a new live album of their discogrpahy from Escape the Mind to Queen of the Murder Scene, as polished adult musicians.
SURVIVE Is just fanfriggintastic! I have never been able to figure out exactly why-it’s not that complex; The lyrics are good, but they aren’t thought-provoking or poetic;
But there is something about it that just grabs ya and makes you head-bang along with Dany…and then stop so you can hear Alé on the bass outro!
Pure Rock and Roll
Another great video Rob
Thanks for playing the outro again. It's frickin' awesome!
Hey Rob, since you are a KISS fan, did you notice the synchronized moves they put in the performance at certain points in the song? Kinda subtle but gives a little flavor of the live ending to Deuce. I noticed it first when I saw them during their club tour in ‘22.
I will have to go back and watch... thanks for the tip.
👍👍👍These 3 talented ladies bringing it. 🖖❤
Esta es una de esas canciones que no te cansas de escuchar, ellas son puro talento.
Written by 2 teens and one pre-teen !!!
This Song sticks in my Head since Years. Love it so much👍
Disfruté ésta canción ❤ gran reaction! Thank you 👍
It’s always amazing that The Warning can always make you respond in ways you are not even aware of. I was tapping my foot hard to the song. Not even aware until I heard it through Ale’s outro….
Gotta love those coordinated moves at 5:16 and 5:27
Fun to watch your reactions Rob 👍
Rob, with you being a huge KISS fan, I figured you’d love that.
I can't help myself, I normally watch the videos back before I upload to ensure no issues, I always catch something I didn't even realize I did.
Do they ever NOT give it their all? So much fun to watch. Thanks for doing this one again after reacting to TEDx 2017.

These ladies are irresistible, you gotta love them! Absolute badasses!! #DPA4EVER ❤⚡🔥🤘💯
The Teatro Metropolitan is the Carnegie Hall equivalent of Mexico, from what I know they are the first Rock Group to perform there. That says ALOT!
The Warning !!!!!!!!!
These three are pure joy.
Excellent my friend!
If you like the back and forth with Pau and Dany . You gotta hear ...SINISTER SMILES .
I just love how much fun they are having and how happy they are doing what they do best take care brother and keep up the great work
I can't stress enough, this song is a radio hit. Years overdue. I'll bet Radio would cut down its outro for time on the air, however. But here's hoping
.. someday. 🤘😜 I could see stadiums hollering its chant during sports games, etc. It's so catchy.
Great reaction. Thanks again
On a roll!
Wednesday Onefer!
Hey Rob, maybe you can explain it, but Pau has something about her, a kind of magical aura that makes you love her for a thousand reasons and for none, really!
They all do!
❤❤❤⚠️⚠️⚠️
Paulina es increíble, tiene un talento impresionante.
Tocar Batería y cantar al mismo tiempo es muy difícil y ella lo hace ver tan fácil
So funny the little dance ale n dany does n then pau and ale does another move 😂
Thank you! Excelente reacción. Todos conocemos esta canción y siempre queremos escucharla nuevamente
These ladies are absolutely phenomenal. I can't wait to see what else they're going to do in the future.
Never gets old ❤❤❤❤❤
hi, I was reviewing the reactions you made to the warning, and it seems to me that you haven't reached 23 yet. so I'm looking forward to you reaching it. another song where Pau is the leading voice, and that is full of feeling.
⚡🤘⚡🤘⚡🤘
It's on the list.
Rock on ladies and thank you for this on VC 👍🏼🙏🏼
I get it brother, me trying to learn the drums, Pau makes me smile watching her do her thing behind the kit too!
Hello my friend. I have a suggestion for you from The Warning. You have to see these series of 5 songs, simply These girls playing RAW music at Sirius XM studio in NYC 2022. You'll like Danny's powerful and raw voice. Enjoy... Javier R. San Diego, CA.

Ale and Dany Guitar "swings" : 3:01, 4:20 (only Ale seen), 4:26, ; Repeats 5:09 (only Ale seen), 5:16.
Ale and Pau head motion : 3:12, 5:27.
