3:33: NIKE did it! And it's really appreciable that they putted attention on details like all the shapes proportions and volume, right colours and details like the hard Air units, also the box, etc... The only retro Air Max they made right ith the intention of recreating them like the original was the Air Max III, so for me the Air Max 180 'Ultramarine' (2024) is the second one, I don't know if the Air Max 1 86 was thought the same but it would be good if they do the same for the Light, BW, 93, 95, 96, 97, 98, Plus (Tuned) and the 360, also after this 2024 Ultramarine Air Max 180, I'm still waiting the retro of the 1991 Air Force 180 like they made for the Pressure and The Command Force
Yeah, the retro looks really good.. I got a pair and will be comparing to the OG soon! Am 1 big bubbles were really on point too with photo references imo and of course the am 90/3
I had some awesome historic shoes back in the early 90s but these ones were the ones that I wanted back then. I remember going school one day in 91 and saw an older boy four grades above me wearing a pair at break time. I was fixated on them, as up to that point I'd never seen an exposed air unit before. I hope nike one day goes back to giving us bigger air units. I've got the last retro from 2018 I think? But the quality just isn't there unfortunately. 🙏🏻👊
Yeah man I hear you, the 2018 retro look and feel wasn't there. I picked them up on display and put them right back down lol.. I hope they retool them like they did the am90
When these came out I thought a spaceship had landed. I think it was Nikes first international campaign. They aired some great commercials which I saw on MTV, but before that they even had Teasers for the shoe coming out! I think it was March 23rd 1991. I'm still looking for such a teaser. I recorded hundreds of hours of MTV that year, but of course it was all VHS.
It would be awesome if Nike do a true to fashion retro of the Nike Air Max 180 and the Nike Air Force 180 High with the original box and pamphlet they don't do this kind of stuff anymore
I'd love to see that with the 180. They've done justice to runner models as of late. Last retro of these weren't very well done and could see some redemption like am90s
@@ogorbust1697 It's a hit and a miss with these retros I just take things in hindsight that a little over 30 years ago these were high performance shoes .
Hi. The Air 180 is coming back with the big bubble encapsulated in a hard translucide shell. I was 12 or 13 years old when originally released, but honestly, more than 30 years later, impossible to remember is this translucide shape was hard or soft. 😅😅As you have the OG one, could you please remind me how it was on the OG version? Hard translucide shell (as on the 2024)? Or soft shell? Thanks 😀
@@ogorbust1697 Yes, the outsole translucid portion. OK, so the previous retro bubbles were not only smaller, but totally wrong design too, right? And the 2024 design with a stiff shell around the air cushion is as on the OG? Is my understanding right?
@riton2982 ill be diving into that for sure when these retros pop up.. I haven't compared any of the current retros I have with the og yet. I'll have 3 versions of the concord to really check, OG '14 and now 24.
Don't suppose you could scan the original booklet or leaflet and upload it on one drive or some other uploading site so I could download it and print it off please?
My understanding is that the OG 180s weren't a part of the Air Max line, like the Air Structures for example. Only upon being re-issued they become a Air Max 180s.
Yeah, it's funny how they market it.. I always looked at them as an air max with such a large Air unit and visible 180 was really cool. The newer retros air units have only gotten smaller and now considered air max? It's a bit confusing lol
@@ogorbust1697 I had a pair of retro's, but never liked them. They just didn't give me the feel of the OG's. I also disliked the shape of the air unit and the longer tongue. They were quite comfortable I guess.

Amazing piece to own for a OG collection! I love the box
Thanks man, only 180 OG I have in the collection. Very cherished!
180 is my personal favourite Air Max.I hope they retro next year.
Such a beautiful shoe, I heard the Structure triax '91 is set to return. Pumped for that if revamped like the AM 90 this year👌🏻🤞

Haha yeah man, such a great commercial! I watched plenty of MTV in 80s and 90s and have some stuff recorded too. Might come across it one day.
Man do I wish Nike would go back to those bigger air units.
Our wishes have come true!
This comment aged perfectly
epic!
PS it is Nike international vs international nike.
Nike air 180 VS nike air max 180.
Great camerawork btw.

I believe what your asking is the outsole portion? Definitely harder than say the Air bubble to have structure and support/durability.

I have worn my pair of OGs until 2007 and no cracking
Incredible! You always hear wear them or they will fall apart. Keeps them flexible
@@ogorbust1697 exactly. i was wearing them regularly....

@@pasquale78 the last retro run didn't look right.. I did grab the previous run with the concord/purple I think they're a little better
Totally agree with you on the retros - they are unbelievably bad and the tiny airbag feels awful underfoot.
Agree. The last of release had a slightly bigger air unit than the older retros, but it still pails in comparison.
That is so sad to see these great shoes crumbling and falling apart by the time.
Look like 2024?
@fukiarifovic6955 check my newer videos, I did compare with 2024 retro
