- North West Golf Club is situated in Lisfannon, Buncrana, in the Inishowen peninsula, an area of natural outstanding beauty and dates back to 1891 where it was one of the founding members of the Golfing Union of Ireland (G.U.I). Measuring over 6300 yards, the links is nestled beneath the so called "mouldy mountains" on the shores of lough swilly. The ever changing light patterns ensure that the surroundings are stunning throughout the seasons. Very much like the old course at St.Andrews the North West fairways have many humps and hollows and extremely good fescue greens with concealed run off's not always visible from the fairway. The North West is rich with success along it's 120 year path through history, the latest of these successes coming from Brian McElhinney, winning the European Amateur Championship in 2003 and British Amateur Championship in 2005 to name a few of his achievements. The course prides itself on being a true links with smooth and true fescue greens, fast running fairways, wispy rough with strategically placed rivetted bunkering throughout the course. The "St.Andrews of Ireland" is a phrase that has been used to describe the scenic Links at Lisfannon and visitors to the club will not be disappointed when they tee it up at North West.

My wife and I had a delightful holiday in Ireland-the food was outstanding in Waterford, Cork, Galway, Athlone, and Dublin-loved everything and documented nearly all of our treats and times on “X”. Next time we, visit I plan to take in a few rounds of golf. Cheers from Missouri-USA; The Ryan clan left the breathtaking landscapes of Ireland shortly after the potato famine. Arrived in a Golf club in Dublin, lovely links,testing terrain, ,went into Clubhouse for pint and met a committe member, the language of some members was challenging ,and the committe man was incredible, good night !!!!!

Just so much fun. I've got a group of Chicago base Golf Mates and we laugh and follow you through each video We use GM staples like "Chicken & Rice" and "Oh no you've hit a Scoopy Whoppie" Such fun. Hoping to get a 2024 trip to the UK and Ireland put together. One of us has been (Scotland trip incl. the Old Course) but most haven't ... nice job on the edit Liam You haven't lost your fastball as we say inthe states!

The Donegal courses featured in this series really are true gems. Big family connection with Donegal and going over next year again for a week of golf on some of these. Dunfanaghy & Cruit Island to name but two.

This has been another brilliant course, with some fine golf shots considering the conditions, however the best part has to be Mr Marlowe miscalculation with the wrong green which couldn't have happened to anyone else bless him. Great
