I’m born, bred and Texas fed. So naturally I Absolutely HATE Bama. But I respect the hell out of Saban and what he has accomplished over the years. It was an honor and a privilege to go beat y’all on your home field. Because if you beat Bama/ Saban. You know your team is playing at the most elite level. I grew up playing back yard football with Josh Chapman. He was two years older than I am and an outstanding human being. My freshman year at Bama he did not hesitate when he saw me in the courtyard to yell my name across the courtyard and come talk to me. Invited me to several parties after games that year too. Truly just a wonderful human being and amazing person to be around

Great interview with a great coach, once again proving why this is the best sports show anywhere. Saban answering the question about Fisher in the respectful manner he did , raised this Aggie's opinion of him considerably. A class individual.
Absolutely agree. I am a LSU fan and so we are supposed to automatically not like Bama and Saban. I have always respected him because anyone that can do what he has done deserves but after watching him on Pat's show these few times I really like him. And I have found myself routing for Bama when they played A&M and Mississippi state😊

At Alabama we have had two of the greatest coaches to ever coach the game. However, what most people don’t understand is that they achieve the success they have because of Mary Harmon and Miss Terry they were the driving force behind the two goats.
That is so true and the great part is that, in both cases, we all knew it. In their way those two women were/are held in just as high of esteem as their husbands. I guess that part of it is just the awe we feel for their ability to even put up with 'em.

Coach Bryant was the GOAT for many years, and it’s ONLY because of Coach Saban, that he is now the 2nd greatest coach of all time.
I’m just sayin. They are #1 and #2, clearly, and it’s not even debatable, so don’t sell them short.
I mean, besides the two of them, who else has won as many as 6 or 7 national championships?

I agree with you Amanda. Every time this man talks , i listen ! He's always dropping little golden nuggets of wisdom.
When i played ball, my coach told me that i will learn life lessons from football that i can apply to situations in life later on. Teamwork, Discipline , Mental Toughness, Resilience , Sportsmanship, etc.... I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall to soak in everything this man has to say.

Pats show is the best in the business right now. For so long I was stuck with Paul freaking Finebaum. Now the Shawn Ryan Show “must watch on TH-cam and podcast” and the pat Mcafee show are constantly on my screen or radio. Great stuff

They've had more than 2 total losses(including postseason) 1 time in the past 15 years. Unsurprisingly that 1 time was 3 losses
Any time you can have an interview like this with Nick Saban, it will always be one of the greatest things. Also, on a side note, Bama had their kicker make a great tackle the other day, that im not sure if Pat has seen yet. Hipefully he will.

No they haven’t. They’ve got one of the best recruiting classes in their history incoming. He’s on because he’s the greatest to do it and he’s still among the top.

Two, being a top-ten team means nothing at this point in the season. Absolutely nothing. Lastly, they've had only 2 undefeated season in their run. They've lost a couple and still was a dynasty. Even if they don't win it all this year they'll be RIGHT BACK in the hunt next year. It's possible other teams caught up some, but Bama hasn't regressed, ESPECIALLY when it comes to recruiting. Yelling and screaming at someone in any context is verbal abuse and it is wrong. You can tell from the press conference that Terrion Arnold has been trained to rationalize what he goes through on that team, which is a clinical indication of an abusive environment. Coach Saban should be suspended. Members of the media who accept abuse and don't call it out are enablers of the worst kind. What if a Black male coach was caught on tape yelling at a white female volleyball player at Alabama and grabbing her arm? If a faculty member teaching chemistry at Alabama was caught on tape screaming at a student the way Saban did, that person would be fired - period.
