simple, but terrific technique that allows for just three colors to standout more than a 20 color pour or abstract............................ awesome !!!!!!
First off, I love your music. I am from Louisiana, but Uncle Sam keeps me homesick. I love your colors as well. I believe it takes as much skill as it does talent to create beautiful abstract pieces. You definitely have both. This would be beautiful for someone to dress the wall of certain beach homes. Just beautiful!
Thank you! It is so simple and elegant. And I find it very nice that the essentials are reduced. I'll try too. Thanks for sharing the video and explanations.
What did you do to the canvas before you started this video? Is there another video showing what you did that I could watch? I absolutely love this painting.
Great tips. I just recently started painting again after watching your posts. Even went out to buy some glazing mediums. And I am working on several projects while waiting for my canvases to dry. ☺
So simple, yet so elegant. If I don't have the transparent brown oxide or the shading gray, can I get the same effect with acrylics watered down to a transparent wash? Perhaps 80:20 mix (water to paint ratio)? I have to say, I look at my notifications almost daily to watch for your videos. I'm a huge fan, and you're truly an inspiration for us beginners. Thank you for sharing.
@AbsractART Just watching this again and after trying it myself, like dozens of brushes, temper tantrums and time waiting for the done it wrong, dry brushes that I didn't notice had become wet brushes and started moving paint around and a thousand curses later, you did warn us ha ha ha. I can say that you must have the patience of a saint girl lol. we have spoken before and I told you how you keep me from losing my mind being off with a broken leg and I apologise for my name change. I did do a painting,"East Coast" two in fact trying blending technique and my first gesso texture reassuring me of how talented you are making it look easy when it is far from it.I am sure you do not want us to [do] more like try and do, ha , direct copies of your work. Not that it,s possible you are far more subtle but use your knowledge to interpret it into our own, kind of an influence or inspiration ? If this is so CONGRATULATIONS Karen as my health carer has helped me frame and mount on my wall the two best paintings that I have ever done honestly I fell six feet tall with a smile from ear to ear mainly thanks to you ! Also you say your pieces are not beautiful ? when,s the last time that you had an eye test ? You are so humble
AbstractART I’ve tried a large format makeup brush - it works, but careful of the “shedding”. Also, I found the brush a lot softer than a mop, so it got wet faster.
Thanks for this tutorial. I love how serene your landscape is. And I learned a lot about creating depth and interest with layers using the glazes.

Thank you for this demo. It’s just what I want for a sky!
Thank you! It's nice to watch someone who is teaching and not at a marathon race. I will watch you a lot more.

Angelia Berkowitz Sure! Just be certain to use glaze vs water to thin it. Thanks!
Angelia Berkowitz I really appreciate you nice comments, too 😊
Love this!
How to create vertical gold ribbon at bottom center? It appears magically in one frame. Luv you ❤️❤️❤️❤️.
Thanks so much! - Not sure how that happened, but sometimes I get a "happy accident!"
Beautiful. What are the colors and/or products you used on the base? There is no video showing that. Thank you for sharing this.
Cheryl64014 I usually put it in the description. Base was just white + a little grey.
Yes, I did see four colors named in the description, but that didn't tell me which were used only on the base. Thank you, ma'am! :)
Cheryl64014 Hi, if you look at this video at 0.18 seconds it says Prepped Canvas I created a "background" of Titanium White and Light Grey
AbsractART Cheryl, I hope sends you an apology 0.18 seconds it does say TW and LG
I must have blinked. Thank you. ♥

It would be nice to see what was going on. I can’t see anything but pale blobs of colour. Not very good.
I really loved this, thank you so much. (Sorry, but the music is way too loud.)
Can I use a make-up brush as a mop brush? Yes, I am a cheap son -of-a gun.
James Cassa I've wondered that myself!
