    this is true
I'm from the twin cities of Champaign Urbana Illinois. I moved to Florida in 2008.
I'm a fish out of water here.
my mother has been here in Florida since 1991. before I moved to Florida in 2008, I would come here on vacation and she would stare at me with the strangest look and say; "your hair is BLACK....(it's quite a lot "blonde" these days in 2022, from so much sun)...
I looked at her and said;" yes, the color it's supposed to be"
I'm half African American half western European American...
    yeah....
    this sounds familiar to me

My great grandma on my dad's side was a Swedish princess and her name was Agnetha Fältskog.

Scandinavia is a political term to unite Sweden with their neighbours to counter the threat of Russia and to cope with the loss of Finland. Therefore Finland can't really be a part of Scandinavia. However, it's not entirely wrong to lump Finland into Scandinavia, as Finland today is a part of the Nordics, which in a political sense is the same as Scandinavia.
So yeas, in a traditional sense it's wrong to call Finland Scandinavian, politically it's really not that wrong.

As a Danish person, how did you get so many things wrong about the region of Scandinavia? According to this video: Sweden = all of Scandinavia, because midsummers eve is not a thing in Denmark. Finland being part of Scandinavia, just no. Actually every "Scandinavian" aspect of this video is actually Sweden.
No wonder Americans asked on the streets seem so clueless about things if education is like this video. Title the video "How Swedish are you". Everyone deserves better than this, the people you are trying to teach, and the countries you are conflicting.
