    What troubles have you run into with your audio while livestreaming?

      Thanks to @SoundSpeeds, I didn't realize my XLR cables SUCKED and that's where all my noise was coming from. Good cables = no electric noise. :)

      well, I can't answer as a streamer myself (since I really don't stream), but I can answer as someone who's gone to livestreams.
      There was one particularly unpleasant time where I was at a stream which had multiple people on there, now most of them were just fine audio wise, but there were two of them who were SO loud to the point of SERIOUS Ear Rape..I had to turn my speakers down when they spoke and turn them back up when the others spoke, but it didn't save me from getting my ear drums blasted...
      and the two people whose voices were blasting away would NOT adjust their mics (or they didn't know how, if memory serves, all they really said was "There's nothing we can do")...one of the higher profile members of the stream actually didn't believe me when I said two of the members of the stream were distorting that badly(as if I can change the audio of each individual participant despite having not been invited to actual call or having any access to the settings in the host's streaming software)...sat there enduring that for at least an hour, I still have an audio clip from that day(I'm not proud of being sneaky/invasive and getting one, but I had no other way to get proof)..and the difference in sound spikes shown in my audio program say it all...

    I've been livestreaming for my church in OBS for the past 6 months, and this is really helpful information!

    Thought you were going to say "you will have a better live", but then it continued and it was better livestream. Made me chuckle.

    Now I know why the audio spikes eventho its at -6db. Thanks Deity!

      @DeityMicrophones  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A lot of people have found -6dB in OBS is actually zero dBfs so -9dB gives you just enough headroom.

    Great video. Do you think those settings would be good for djs too? I dj on Twitch and I was wondering that.
    Thank you so much.

    I need to check your merch store. I really want cables in Diety yellow. Where did you get the XLR cable that you are using with your TH-cam setup?

    #MAILBAG Is used/older gear still acceptable to use on sets? Or is that seen as a beginner/amateur thing?

      @jessehassler 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe they should get V1 to work first...
      ...and ship the BP-TRX...
      ...and ship the Pencil Mic they announced...
      ...and put out more dope hats.

    Question: Can you show in an episode how you hide a bigger cheap lav mic under clothing. I have tried watching multiple videos and tested this with tape folded as a triangle. Every time I place it under my clothes, I get noice from my shirt/t-shirt. What am I doing wrong. It does not matter if I use my Savage lav mic (cheap), included Comica, included Lensgo or my little better Rode lav Go. I still get those noises.
    Help?! 🙏😊

    #mailbag should a compressor and limiter both be used in OBS? If so what are good guidelines for a compressor’s settings?

    Durring a live event with lots of background noise is it better to use a dynamic or condenser mic for the commentators?

    • @DeityMicrophones
      @DeityMicrophones  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dynamic for speakers but you might add some audience mics (usually shotguns) so you can dial in the volume audience noise for things like clapping

    #mailbag We are always working to make zoom audio better for guest speakers that appear in our webinars. We’ve been gifting them with a cheap lav and having them set auto level and auto noise suppression on zoom. Are there better settings on zoom other than just using auto?

    Hi... is it possible to use a single sided headphones with built-in mic on a ddj controller, mine is a
    Mixars Primo, 3.5mm jack headphones at the front & XLR - JACK combo Mic at the back... Tried a splitter, both types, plugging the mail - 2 females into headphone jack controller then my headphones into one side of the Splitter (headphones) & then plugged 3.5mm jack male-male (Mic) to a XLR - 3.5mm female... still no joy... Thank you... P.S I've sent you a diagram on your Instagram...

      Right click on your audio mixer and go to advanced audio properties. There find sync offset and adjust it accordingly. Mines offset is 250 mili seconds.

    #MAILBAG Hi Andrew ! Great review, thanks a lot !👍
    Could you make a comparison review of the 3 Deity lav. mics ?
    (for example, a 10 to 15 minutes technical review, on set, with tips and tricks for each lav. mic).
    That would be awesome !

    Wow. Look at all these human hours and effort spent on something that IS NOT delivering the products they’ve told us about.
    On the bright side, this is definitely info that isn’t included in 3000+ other OBS tutorials.
    On the bright BRIGHT side, looks like they have some dope new hats they are shipping in their online store. Dope snap-backs for everyone!
