I like this lagoona a lot more tbh. The G1 is nice but this one stands out and i see more kids and other people noticing her and liking her. Shes not racist in any way, im latina and i don't care about the lyrics of the song or anything. Its actually just really nice to see.

I get that, but also sense this is a reboot, i dont see these as the old characters at all. The way i see it, we have 2 lagoonas now, this one doesn't cancel out the old one. They are both great and i think g3 lagoona's colors are suppose to look like a coral reef? I think anyway, shes very colorful.
I dont adore all of the new designs but atleast monster high is back.

The song is cute but they destroyed everything of lagoona character,everything,her monster tipe,her skin,her colors skeme,her style,her hair,her attitude,her personality,her voice,her nationality,her story,all. This is not lagoona,easy. A reboot means change something not destroy and remake totally a new character calling her like the old one.
A reboot absolutely means "changing a cahracter to a point where they're unrecognizeable from their original inspiration". A LOT of toy brands do that (i.e. My Little Pony). Like it or not, what Mattel did was a business necessity. Lagoona wasn't selling, so they had to go drastic to make her a more profitable character, plus using a preexisting copyrighted name would be easier than giving her a new name. G3 Lagoona existing doesn't erase G1 Lagoona's existence, so if you really dislike G3 Lagoona that much, just watch content centering G1 Lagoona.
And they made her a latina stereotype and erased her original representation which never even got represented in any cartoons...hate this new movie with a passion and the fact its directed by someone racist..
are you aware with what a reboot is? it means use the same concepts and redo everything from scratch, write a new story, new characters. Some will look and act a lot similar with the og ones, like cleo. But most will be mostly different. I have my issues with g3 but criticizing a reboot for being a reboot is just not justified.
