i haven’t shared my thoughts about this new gen of monster high and i want to do it here.
i am TIRED of og fans trashing on this new gen just because it’s different, like listen, i know your nostalgia it’s blinding you but stop looking for things to complain about when there’s none, it’s different, that’s all. this monster high it’s meant to attract the new gen of fans, it’s a completely different universe from the one we already know. this is not meant for you, it’s meant for a new audience, mattel doesn’t care if a adult likes it or not, they care about the kids, if the kids enjoy this gen will be here to stay for a long time.
mh was never the edgy dark girls y’all are portraying them to be, y’all never watched the movies??? the old movies are childish, fun, not dark and obscure??? 😭 stop portraying monster high like something it never was, that’s all for now.
The og was made with an edgy undertone but yeah it was never the focus but it built the atmosphere. I really like this new reboot even with growing with the OG. I just wish they had a bit more limited colour palette tbh like I wish frankie (my favourite) had only blue and yellow colours that would of made it perfect but they are like amazing anyway. I also wish they used to original artwork style for the boxes I know this sounds controversial but like that new style ain’t it I’ve seen fan art better then that my guy 😭.
I just miss the fashion when monster high was stylish and bow draculaura is just a mean fat chick
