the first time i heard this song. i was 23 years old. high as fuck on cocaine walking around Salt Lake City. I walked into a britpop club night and as the club closed the dj through on this song. I had never heard anything like it. From this i discovered Ride, Slowdive, Medicine, Sonic Youth, Catherine Wheel and so many others that added so much beauty to my life. Glad to see them at it again.

I have to say. I saw RIDE in Boston a few years ago, and this has always been my favorite song. And I don't mean my favorite Ride song, i mean my favorite song of all time and I listen to tons of stuff. So they are playing on the reunion tour and hit Boston and I'm a little bumded that the crowd isnt bigger and I listened to vapour trail seriously more then 1,000 times and now for the first time i am watching them play this song live and I swear I am overscome with emotion. I can't help that Tears are just streaming down my face. maybe the most emotional moment Ive ever had just over this song.
Ride and other like-minded bands from that time enriched my life when I needed it the most.

A buried treasure-type band from that era was called Swell. They were from San Francisco. A pure vibe that still resonates in 2022.

Beautiful... I don’t get it ... they make Oasis and Blur look like also rans. Also such a large catalogue of beautiful melodies that merge into a hypnotic wall of sound. Yet relative lack of recognition. Nowhere Album still in amongst my top ten albums even though I’m more Grunge and Rock orientated.. something about Ride just grabbed me.
