I got the achievement the much more conservative way, didn't think I'd have much luck just running through the level, so I got a gunner and a passenger and gave my Spartan Laser to the passenger and just watched them completely obliterate everything, it was pretty fun.
For the 'Just Saying.. I Ain't Dead' achievement, you're NOT supposed to Restart after you die, you have to quit to main menu and do the mission again for some reason.
tried this a few times without skulls and couldn't even get past the first part with the choppers without getting my poop pushed inn. done it again with the tough luck, tilt & iron skull on ( iron is optional ) and managed it my 2nd try with 3:36. highly recommend adding them skulls boiii's. now lets get this breadddd!
You can skip the first turret section after you get in the ghost by climbing on some rocks with the ghost @1:58 you can skip that whole section which can probably kill you and will shave off some time of your playthrough.
For anyone still watching this video for help, it may also be helpful to note that if you get a couple of soldiers to ride with you, they can shoot *their* guns and the minigun in the back and the achievement will still pop. Doing that, I kept the warthog the entire time. Also, for assurance, I re-map my left-mouse key on my keyboard to some other random key (this time, it was the number 8) so that if I reflexively click to shoot, it won't. :)

No matter what I do those Choppers end up coming back after they pass. As soon as they do any damage you basically have to restart because everything else will kill you before you get to the ghost.
Are you not allowed to have Marines in your Warthog shoot at the enemies at the beginning or honk the horn on your Warthog? Because I just did it and couldn't get it.
You say in the vid it must be on solo legendary but the achievement description does not show that. Those requirements are from the original ODST on the 360. Just sayin..

For those watching in 2020 and playing on PC; FYI Honking your horn does in fact count as shooting. Fight the temptation.

You must have been the luckiest man on the planet to run the hole thing on legendary without dying.
I had to do it in a warthog for the not dying achievement to pop.
I Tried to get to the ghost 9 times but could not, kept dying where the 2 wraiths were.
For those in 2022, use the Acrophobia skull and fly to the end.
You are a god send.

I recommend to have the achrophobia skull on for this achievement.i flew myself there in a flash and it gave me it lol.

Form memory, I'm pretty sure he was referencing the Classic achievement, not the, "Just Saying... I Ain't Dead" achievement. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Worked got the classic achvieo, might go back to it and go for the not dying one, ill do it on heroic now

Do not honk your horn!!! The game files registers that as a weapon and will void the achievement

Its easier to do it with tough luck, tilt, and iron skulls on, so you can take more shots.
How in the hell does iron help in any way?
C Wands well it makes you restart the mission if you die which gives you another shot to complete the achievement.
