People may or may not remember that this music was expanded from a 30 second piece composed by Sir Karl for a DeBeers Diamonds commercial. Sir Karl eventually expanded it into a full blown composition due to so many people inquiring about the "original composition" the commercial excerpt was from.
I've wondered for the last 5 years why this melody was so ingrained in my head. Now I know. Diamond commercials do their job well 😅

Word. The ending. I was just a kid but the slogan and everything. "A diamond is forever" something like that I might be misquoting.
@@joshmartini7443 you're correct, De Beers' "A diamond is forever" 1993. You can find it also by "de beers tv commercial 1993" instead. Anyway, this masterpiece took him only three years to finish: 1993-1996.

Really I think Poland has higher youth performing in symphony which is extremely popular the world over. Their passion and higher degree of involvement is clearly visible in their outstanding rendition, hats off Hats off to them and their dedication outsmarted many nations.
I will not tire of repeating how good these musicians are!

This is excellent! The Stanisław Moniuszko School of Music has to be one of the best in Poland and perhaps all of Europe. I have enjoyed listening to this school's many performances on your channel. Conductor Andrzej Kucybała is always able to encourage and coach his students, year after year, to perform at their highest level. Congratulations.

Very interesting composition. I had never heard it. I understand from the comments below it was originally composed for a commercial. I find it amusing that such art has permeated so far, since we usually tend to think about commercials as second rate art. They are obviously not always.

As videos of succeeding music school classes over the years show, these gifted young students have lost none of their elan or professionalism. They are a sight to behold. And it should be remembered; If I am not mistaken, that the folks behind the cameras and mics are themselves students which is equally incredible. I have said before how stunning and amazing this school orchestra is. This is another wonderful performance as is the recording of Magdalena playing the three pieces from Schindler's list that I believe was played at the same concert.

This performance is so very impressive from a number of standpoints, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. All credit to the young musicians as well as to the tutors at the Stanisław Moniuszko School of Music. Not to mention the compositional achievement of Sir Karl Jenkins.
