Hi Palki, good reporting on this, but I wouldn’t listen to US on this one, for reasons below:
    1) US do not know how to build high rail roads, so they have no expertise to bring to the project.
    2) US is not located in west Asia, so
it’s only motive is to stop China.
    3) India has some expertise, but not like China. India contracted with Japan to build a high speed rail, but the project is still not completed, but Indonesia railway is completed by China, although it started after Japan.
    4) Gulf nations are not experts like China, but may end up funding most of the project, without receiving timely deliverables.
    5) India will have no connective railway, except a seaport connection.
    6) Only US will benefit from this project, in that it was able to stop China from connecting to West Asia.
Does this make sense to you?
Why not have one BRI connect through Asia, Europe, including gulf states, where India would have connected rails?
    What would Solomon have done?

Unlike other countries where rail makes sense, the US has a lot of sparsely populated areas with much land between cities, and gas price to income ratio is much better in the US.
If it is close, nobody is going to take a train, they are going to take their own car.
If it is far, nobody is going to take a train, they are going to take a plane.
