I respect you puttin the fish back in right away. leaving them out for a long time taking pics and measuring and stuff causes them to lose a lot of oxygen and get sick. Not a way that a true sportsman would be proud of. Good job out there and that kayak is looking strong!!
Thanks for the feedback! Its a nice little get-up for sure. I actually ran the kayak as a tandem one trip and we use the sail to get back to the boat launch. It was a really windy day and it was still chugging along faster than the hard shells nearby were paddling. :)
@@inflatablemooseadventures Thanks so much for the vids and tips!!! I had an absolute blast on my maiden voyage. Hope to get out more before the real winter starts here in Houston. Do you still use your kayak or did you move on to something different?

Mines the original 2 seater aswell! Its super functional because you can set it up for either 1 or 2 people. I'd recommend you pick yourself up a longer paddle - the ones that come with it are fine but you will find a longer paddle will help tremendously getting around.

the material is much thicker than a pool toy. Any inflatable can puncture that's why they designed it to have multiple compartments. Never leave without a patch kit and the pump to be on the safe side.
You just have to be careful. When you reel in and cast its not really a concern so long as you are always aware of where your lure is in relation to the kayak. The only slightly worrisome situation is having to unhook a large fish inside the kayak. In these instances I would opt to have a towel or pad inside to rest the fish and avoid the hook accidentally puncturing anything. Though keep in mind there are 3 compartments for air in this kayak and the material is pretty tough, even if you were to puncture one of the pontoons you would still stay afloat and it would take a while for it to fully deflate. Always bring a patch kit and the pump along for the ride to be on the safe side :)
@@inflatablemooseadventures you can also bring the patch kit with you that the kayak comes with and use in an emergency, i would also recommend carrying the pump with you. and as always wear a life jacket.

Bugs spray, the black flies and mosquito's were really bad on the lake this time of year.
