Hats off to the guy that went into the drain, well done, great effort. you need to carry an extendable pole with a hook on it like what they pull tuna in with, to grab the roots from the top of the pit.

I've been there and done that. We had a manhole that beavers packed with sticks, branches, logs, grass, and lots of mud. I didn't have to sit down in the water to clean it out like the guy in the video. They did a great job.
Nice job, that cricket ground had less water on it than the average English cricket pitch after a summer's day of rain. I've played once on a field so wet and swampy that the ball left dents when it bounced on the outfield.

What I like about these people is their interest. When one works and 4 watch. Also, their equipment... a helmet from Nike, but they don't have a hook to pull out the roots... :) :) Beautifully clean clothes, which he can't even take off himself, are suitable for the job. :) And they proved to be real experts when it came to cleaning that little inlet pipe. The spade handle is the best helper. :) :) And they don't need a car with a pressure hose standing right next to it. :) The whole thing is really ridiculous!!
I hope it was a warm day, as Altaf was soaked. If the rain soaked the ground too, it will water the trees and might slow the roots invading the manholes. I would let the water stay on the cricket grounds longer if I was managing the park.
should pick up some expansion plugs like the ones used in pools, to plug the smaller pipes while he was cleaning the manhole walls. they come in all sorts of sizes.
