Questlove has a wealth of knowledge in not only music, but tons of other stuff. He is a fascinating person just on how much information and knowledge he has in his head and can recall things.
I highly highly highly recommend reading his book Mo' Meta Blues. It is f-ing *amazing*, honest, joyful, funny, and a total celebration of humanity and music.
More please!!! Out of all of your episodes, Questlove, Jason Segel and Mila Kunis are my faves!! You can invite them back for more, right? Truly wonderful and kind people.
Willie Aames replaced one of my best friends on Eight Is Enough. The pilot has Chris English as Tommy - who had been doing TV commercials for years before that.
Everyone's ganging up on Fallon right now but it would be interesting to know what Questlove has to say about the so called "toxic" environment at the show. Not saying it is a perfect lovey dovey atmosphere but also calling bullshit on some of the things said about Jimmy.
Whatever people may think of Fallon as a late night host, this video is just proof that you really can’t judge a book by its cover. Jimmy sounds like a great person to have as a friend.
I don't know if the timing of this video has anything to do with the current allegations against Jimmy Fallon and his show. In any case, Conan > Fallon
EDIT: It seems I might be wrong, he's apparently both a terrible host, laughs at a pin dropping, and also has a toxic workplace? yikes I'll be honest I don't watch Fallon because I can't stand him, and how he laughs at everything even when it's not funny, but at least by all accounts he's a good dude and takes care of his people, unlike trash such as Ellen and Corden
I’m in agreement. I find him a little annoying. But I will concede, it appears he is legit a good dude and a nice person. People LIKE HIM personally and that is clear.
I agree, he's not a great interviewer but he seems like a really nice person. Even Conan has talked about when he lost the Tonight Show, Jimmy said he could have his old show back, that shows what a decent guy he is.
I am a fan of the podcast and have enjoyed all of them but not this one. And, I get it that there is this exclusive language spoken amongst black artists but frankly, all the pauses and lingo left me wondering how this guy could hold such respect and esteem amongst his peers but have such a problem conveying his life and story into easily understood English. Bad interview that left me annoyed.
I knew who questlove was but I didn’t really KNOW him. What an incredible human being. I’d love to be his friend.
I've always loved The Roots but didn't know much about Questlove. Dude seems cool AF. I'd love to hang out with him
Me three!
take a look at his Nardwaur interviews, his interviews for the documentary Summer of Soul, etc… ~
Questlove has always been a remarkably cool dude. This episode made me like him even more.
He's one of a kind, soul of an artist.
This is the surprise guest we didn’t know we needed. We hear him play on Fallon, but this is full-blown conversation…and he’s INTERESTING!
Questlove has a wealth of knowledge in not only music, but tons of other stuff. He is a fascinating person just on how much information and knowledge he has in his head and can recall things.
Check out his full 50 minute interview with Nardwuar to see how deep his music history expertise really is...impressive and interesting guy, for sure

Mila Kunis brought me to this podcast with the Ferengi and Soviet Doll thing.
Don’t forget Paul Rudd!
Wonderful revealing interview. (And kudos to Jimmy Fallon - which might be the first time THAT has been written in a Conan comment section!)
This comment didn't age well and it's only been a day.
@@DarkGobwhat happened?
I always enjoy interviews with Questlove
I agree- I feel like I never really knew Questlove at all. What a cool guy he is.
Ahmir Thompson, what a gift you are! I love this guy. I can't get enough of his generous spirit.
This is such a down to earth interview, no sucking up to each other, big up Quest Love!
I absolutely loved this interview and I hope they have Questlove on again soon. He seems like such a fun and interesting person to hang out with.
If only he was on a tv show everynight....So you could watch and simp over him...... Wait a minute
Please, please! Please put the entire podcast video up on TH-cam!
Questlove is Awesome! Tremendously positive and always delightful.
Quest Love, Black Thought and everyone in The Roots are the truth! 🔥🔥
Wow, realizations .. What a metaphor, what a band.. QuestLove in the building with the Truth.
1:35 Conan thinking “ya you’re welcome btw” before questlove mentioned the safe word 😂
Willie Aames replaced one of my best friends on Eight Is Enough. The pilot has Chris English as Tommy - who had been doing TV commercials for years before that.
a picture of Jimmy Fallon on Conan's channel ! that's a new one
I absolutely need a Sona vs Quest laugh off. NOW.
I could listen to Quest talk, play music, rap, whatever forever
Loved this episode
That's cool that you guys found one another!
Dang I actually like his long drawn out stories. Something about his delivery.
Questlove’s laugh is contagious 😂 one of kind man.
Questlove is the man. Love him.
Everyone's ganging up on Fallon right now but it would be interesting to know what Questlove has to say about the so called "toxic" environment at the show. Not saying it is a perfect lovey dovey atmosphere but also calling bullshit on some of the things said about Jimmy.
2:01 thank you for calling it football, as it should be 🙏
Wait. My dad was on the soundtrack of zapped. I had no idea Questlove was involved.
Fantastic episode! I think it goes without saying that Conan needs to have Jimmy Fallon on this!!! Vote now! 😃
Love you quest
After reading the Rolling Stone Fallon story, I can see why Questlove asked if he could work for Conan.
The timing of this video and the story is so funny
Seinfeld just said that it isn't the truth
I was thinking the same thing. Awkward timing with these clips...
@@bettersecret1499Fallon admitted to it.
my first thought exactly lmaooo
He's an AMAZING storyteller wow! :D :D :D
the first interview where Conan talks less! great episode!
Whatever people may think of Fallon as a late night host, this video is just proof that you really can’t judge a book by its cover. Jimmy sounds like a great person to have as a friend.
They referenced bibleman I'm so happy😂😂😂😂 that tape got me out of a speeding ticket in Ohio ❤😂
The Roots need to be in the Rock n Roll hof
He's everywhere.
Sly Bibleman drop from Gourley.
Very good 👍 👏
Love this guy. It's a podcast. His job is to be loquacious. He should do a podcast himself... I bet it'd be great.
I love Quest
“Questlove, you’re not in the house.”
conan obrien needs an ad read
I don't know if the timing of this video has anything to do with the current allegations against Jimmy Fallon and his show. In any case, Conan > Fallon
I reall hope you release a video of "Pharoah" Max Weinberg turning Conan's interns into his personal enslaved Egyptians.😂
My safeword is: Ouch.
The answer was: I’m going to stay away from that bloody mess.
Questlove pandemic live Djing was dope. Heard countless music i never heard of
Hey there, huge fan of the show, but can you please light your black guests a little bit better? I can barely see this beautiful man on screen.
EDIT: It seems I might be wrong, he's apparently both a terrible host, laughs at a pin dropping, and also has a toxic workplace? yikes
I'll be honest I don't watch Fallon because I can't stand him, and how he laughs at everything even when it's not funny, but at least by all accounts he's a good dude and takes care of his people, unlike trash such as Ellen and Corden
He's not great at interviewing people but when he's around his friends for example the roots or his snl cast mate you can clearly see how funny he is.
I’m in agreement. I find him a little annoying.
But I will concede, it appears he is legit a good dude and a nice person. People LIKE HIM personally and that is clear.
when fallon has his friends as guests, you can see his true personality. But yes he's not a good interviewer in general
I agree, he's not a great interviewer but he seems like a really nice person. Even Conan has talked about when he lost the Tonight Show, Jimmy said he could have his old show back, that shows what a decent guy he is.
I guess you haven’t read the latest Rolling Stone. He makes Ellen look like a dream boss.
"People say we're the Phish of hip-hop, or the the Grateful Dead of hip-hop." Who has ever said that about The Roots?
@samkilpatrick3053 People who like jam bands.
I definitely have
And there bank balances 😤💸💰💸💰💵
He is so boring. Omg. This is the worst episode
had to google that Griffendorf and whatever joke. Ok Harry Potter crap. Was it really that funny?
First lmao I know I am lame
Boooo
lol not lame, special 😊😊
@@lynnroath-costa9219lol, isn't "special like "bless your heart"?!😅
I just farted.
Poor, insecure Questlove. Keep talking bro! We're loving it
Grow up.
@@LinkRocks what are you talking about?
Nothing without Scott Storch

Welp, this was a waste of 8 minutes. But it got me through my Wheaties.
Wheaties don’t prevent masturbation as well as Kellogg’s original Corn Flakes™️
Too complicated for you to follow?
