Ok and the metal gear mk2 can pick up guns and stun enemies and do not kil the rebels put them to sleep then and some might give you heals
God i have been waiting for this since this started with 1. The greatest expierience of my life is this game! Cant wait to expierience it again with some first timers!

I remember when this launched back in 2008. I was hooked ever since I saw the E3 demos showcasing Snake’s camouflage suit and the scope and scale of the missions. On launch day in the UK, I went straight to GAME with all twelve of my other PS3 titles to trade-in. I didn’t care about only having one game because I knew I needed this one. This was the broadened my horizons unlike anything before it as to what this medium could do. I’m so excited for anyone that hasn’t been on this ride before.
In case anyone needs a Metal Gear recap expand the thread below:
MG1 (1995): Snake and GreyFox are part of US special forces Foxhound (their commander is Big Boss). They infiltrate Outer Heaven a mercenary state developing Metal Gear. Big Boss turns out to be Outer Heaven leader. They fight. Metal Gear and Outer Heaven get destroyed. Big Boss escapes.
MG2 (1999): Same setup as last game, but this time GreyFox (working for Big boss all along) betrays Snake. They fight. GreyFox supposedly killed. Then Snake kills Big Boss with fire!
MGS (2005): Terrorists suddenly take over a 'nuclear disposal facility' and get hold of Metal Gear. Snake is tricked into arming it. GreyFox teams-up to fight Liquid. GreyFox dies but his sister Naomi created a virus which ‘kills’ Liquid (who now inhabits Ocelot’s arm).
MGS2 (2009): Raiden is sent to prevent Solidus from seizing Arsenal Gear. Ocelot (working for the Patriots) reveals they have staged the current events in order to test the S3 plan; a way to train soldiers. However, an AI reveals that S3 is a more general attempt to control human behaviour.
MGS3 (1964): Big Boss is part of US special forces Fox (his commander is Major Tom / Zero).
He is forced into killing his mentor (The Boss), and parts ways with Fox.
He has a fling with Eva but she betrays him for the Philosopher’s Legacy (a big pot of gold).
I am smiling SO BIG hearing this music all over again. FUCK THIS SERIES IS SO GODDAMN GOOOOOD.
I've played and replayed these games a billion times since 1999 but it's also been a solo operation, it's so amazing to relive these games with the KF crew and see them with fresh eyes via Barrett & SBM

This game came out June 12th 2008 and the excitement I had for that release, till this day is unmatched. I counted down to the release day. I beat it Sunday June 15th, I know that because it was my 1 year wedding anniversary that day and my wife was pissed we were an hour or so behind schedule for our Disneyland trip because of the ending cutscenes I needed to see and couldn’t pause/skip. 😂 worth it

I fuckin' needed this in my life! I played through this version of MGS4 on PS Now a few weeks ago and it worked well. The one issue I had is that I put my controller down and left the game idle during a cutscene and the stream shut down. It was idle for too long and it does not care/know the difference between a cutscene and gameplay. Definitely an issue towards the end of the game but nothing major.
Update: I just got to 1:38:00 and Barrett mentions this.
I really was planning a comment lambasting Kevin for his backseat gaming... but then my mans is not only a fan of Naruto, but actively trying to convince Barrett. Game respect game on that one bud.

This was the game I waited for before buying a PS3. Atlhough the limited edition gunmetal grey console bundle was tempting, the fact that it was only the 40 GB model with zero backwards compatibility meant my money went towards the other MGS PS3 bundle with the 80 GB "premium" model (seemed like huge storage capacity at the time, although I soon upgraded the internal drive to 250 GB). If I remember rightly, this was the last PS3 model to use hardware emulation vs. software for backwards compatible play. Arguably the best overall PlayStation console in terms of features and upgrades over the previous generation. I still have it and use it every now and then. Long live the piano black PS3 "fat"!

This is what happens when you skip codec scenes, Barrett. During MGS1 and 2, it is learned that Campbell banged his sister, Meryl's mother (making him her father and uncle).
To answer why your stress keep going up its because you kept getting caught.
Get caught = Stress goes up = Psyche Gauge goes down = Health won't recover = Die
Its the games way of still keep the factor of stealth important, despite being in a battlefield.
People say this game has flaws. I don’t see them. Far as I’m concerned they tied up this game perfectly.

It was the second release. The first release was MGO on the Subsistence version of MGS3. I played a couple of hundred hours and that game and MGO made me go buy a PS2 network adapter.
When this game (MGS4) out, I was all in on the story but I only fooled around with this version of MGO.
Anyone ever wonder why we havent gotten a metal gear vr missions in vr? Now's the perfect opportunity for that!

One thing is how gravely colonel Campbell sounds. He sounds the same in 1 but there was something different about him in 2. His voice was more flat. And we know why.

I listened to the MGS4 podcast back before the game came out as well. It was exciting, i listened to every new episode and followed development. I was one of the winners in one of the competitions they ran to win a copy of a magazine that was only handed out at E3 or something like that just before the game came out and my name was mentioned on the podcast. It was pretty cool.

It's the same resolution as before, and looks just like it does on PS3.
PSNow streams 1080p so if you notice issues, it's not due to PSNow.
