Guys n gals this episode was recorded 80yrs ago isn't that amazing!! I think it is and when this was recorded the war hadn't started The Wizard of Oz/Gone with the Wind hadn't been made and the world was a great place!!! The scene where they're looking for her and they pretend to be the plumbers daughter shud have won an Oscar it was brilliant!!!!

I've seen this movie a dozen times. It is very interesting to hear this version. Both Gable and Colbert were rushing through the dialogue-- probably because they knew the listening audience had no visuals, and so any moments of silence, even slight pauses, were 'dead' moments. In the movie, they spoke at a much slower pace and spoke more naturally.
