first time a game's bad ending depends on you actually winning such a battle for it. at least thats for all the games i played like ffx-2 where if you lose a certain endboss stage a gigant canon fires and the rest you can guess.
I couldn't get this ending this ending my self because I didn't want to hurt Marta or Lloyd I tried doing it multible times but I couldn't the story was so touching and that it was impossible for me to try to even hurt Marta. Thats why I have to watch it on youtube this ending sucks and I want Emil and Marta too be together thats why I 'm going for the good ending!!!

I know, being level 200 while doing this was a really big pain. *headdesk* What I did was that I removed EVERYTHING except for the sword. I still had to wait a long time but not as long as when I was doing it the first time I got level 200.
I don't know the storyline behind this game, or what that door was about, or how stabbing himself turned him into a core, but seeing this ending, I nearly cried. Assuming no scene from a movie or video game has ever made me cry, that's saying a lot. I still would have preferred she not write down that she loved him though. *gags*

This ending is for laughs if you ask me. My friend and I were playing and we were like, "Let's just kill Marta and Lloyd... just for the hell of it." And yay this ending came out. I dunno I wanted to beat the snuff out of Lloyd in the game and that was our chance... eh, just my two cents that's all. XD

Like for real now thinking about it I don't know what black magic I used to get that far with the level I was at I was only level 40 or lower something like that with crappy gear... Didn't think I needed and was going well until the end where I was like "WHY DIDNT I GRIND!?!?!?" from then on I ended up getting super overleveled XD.
Be glad you are not lvl 200 doing this fight I've been tempted to kill them so many times now. Even with the weakest gear on they are only doing 1s. I'm at over 20 min into the fight and my hp is at...7496. I'm not doing a blasted thing, well except at the beginning when I checked how easy it would be to kill them. Lloyd almost died in a arteless combo. All just to be able to use my save and finish what I missed next round. Hp now at 6609.

you know, I think this game was really great and all, especially the story and the characters... but the emotions seem so fake because of their facial expressions, e.g. at 4:03 ... I wish they would have added more anime scenes or used better graphics =w=
Well, that's just crappy crappy crappy. The voices are just horrible, it doesn't even let you go to grade shop or credits(wtf)!!! and you have to LOSE a battle to get a decent ending. And the new Lloyd voice is all wrong! Argh! This almost changes my mind about buying this game, but I'm counting on the fact that the rest of the game is at least somewhat decent.

well this is the real ending .... it's just that if you want to defeat them in the battle or not ... that determines the real ending that you want ...

Marta writing the journal to Emil reminds me of a Tales of Vesperia fanfiction called "The End of the End". It was do sad. I cant stop crying! *sob*

the normal ending is the true ending, the good ending is crap, and the sad ending is what i wish was the ending because the bad ending is realistic
