Be mindful around the exhaust and add heat shields if needed. Actually, those are just badass. Get some titanium ones and watch them color up over time.
I think the shifter is the driver preference so I don't know why people complain, he has to drive it not them, it looked like it was hard to get into gear sometimes when it was that high, but like I said that's drivers choice.
Dude you build cars. And trucks. Taking something and putting something else on top of it is some of the coolest stuff ever. Real car people appreciate you. Thanks man
When I ordered a motorcycle part Directly from Japan it took about a week before it got shipped. Then it sat at a sea port there for about a month. Then it sat at a port in California for about a month and a half before it got shipped to Oklahoma and that took about a week. Hopefully you have better luck with that body kit on its shipping speed 🤞
I’m loving this series. Honestly I don’t know why the algorithm never put me on to your channel until the CRX build. I watch almost all car stuff exclusively
This build just keeps getting cooler! Love that you did this to a CRX! One I always wanted to do was drop a big azz Chevy into a 1985 Celica GT-S.. maybe an idea for a build if you see one cheap?
Awesome content Love the CRX build You need a Hoon stick weld the diff Double master cylinders on the Hoon stick. Forward lock front for massive burnouts Pull back to cruise sideways
Just subbed because I like the no filter approach, you had me laughing pretty good. And you must sing when you're not recording because I can hear it trying to come through when you talk lol you should let us hear it bro! That's great work and dedication on this build, I can't wait to see more!
My favorite part is seeing you get in and out of the car. It's like that Simpson episode where that tall ass dude gets out of his small car and bumps into nelson.
Use the bullet mufflers. You need something in there. Glasspachs, would also fit the bill, and you can get different lengths. Just saw, 4 ft long glasspacks
The algorithm of TH-cam got me watching your fantastic video. As a Jdm enthusiast myself would be cool if you did a V8 Miata and a LS swapped FD rx7. I know there a lot out there, but would be cool to see your taste on it. I know some will hate me on this, but at the in of the day, it’s a car and as a true car enthusiast, all should love a build regardless of what it is and the vision of the builder at heart.
Like your design for the exhaust system and exit port is goin' good wiil have to wait to see how it finishes. It looks great all 1 color so far will have to see it with the widebody kit on it. Great build so far love the direction you are takin' this build Casey!!! Bringing the '63 back out is an exciting idea. I will be waiting for that widebody kit to come for this though!
Love the car, And I know what you were goin for.... I just keep picturing huge tubs in the back with some 28/10.5's on the rear..... Keep up the good work!
Casey. The Honda boys will always unite to give you views.🤣 The CRX is the coolest Honda build I’ve seen in a minute and is the only reason I’m new and started watching your content.
Nice job. With all that stripping and taking the surface down to bare metal. May be worth getting something like the Eastwood Contour SCT or Harbour Freight Bauer surface condtioning tool or similar. Looking forward to seeing more of this project.
That is the coolest build ever. I wanted to do that to my 68 Datsun 510, but 35 years ago I neither had the funds or skill to do it. I also had a 74 Mack I Mustang I wanted to drop a 390 in. I still had that motor from my 65 Galaxie.
I know you aren't building stuff to win the riddler but you are a great medal fab man!!! Also if you weren't making videos and pushing for time that would help. I love all the builds going on right now so much. I love the blazer too can't understand why the videos weren't doing good. I can't wait to see this done with a good paint job and awesome wheels. You need a wheel and tire sponsor badly!!! Keep up the great work!!!!
I am waiting for that primer, Primer it for at least a few weeks before paint if not it will rust threw and be a waste of money to paint. I think this will be a wicked build when complete. Keep up the hard work.
this is pretty cool. i would love to try and build that "porsche", that's super cool. just need the space, tools, and knowledge :) gonna watch that again
I had a 1988 Honda CRX like that with a Mugan kit it was bad ass I put Porsche Alloys 15x7 I had some adapters made to put them on. 1 of kind. That is coming out nice ☝🏽❤️🙏🏽
Is it just me or when he goes from time-lapse to regular speed while he is welding , I wait for something to catch fire lol . Love this build so much can't wait to see the body kit .
Wow the engine sits pretty nice behind the axle. Before I started watching I was thinking it was gonna be so far ahead the axle that it would handle like dogshxt.. but wow, good work
Hello from Sweden. I like your build. But when you see the car from the side. So it looks as if you have taken a square tin box as a scope. I had somewhat followed the rear part of the hood, made a soft bend there. And also soft bend forward and made so the scope goes all the way to the front so it ends about 3-4 inches at the front of the hood. So it follows the car's lines a little more. But that's just an opinion I have, which maybe no one else thinks would look good. But I understand that it must be a pain in the ass to do. I myself am an old car sheet metal worker. Otherwise, I think it's a great build. You have done a great job with that car, which many people probably don't understand. Good luck with your channel. 👍👍
A friend, also from 20 years ago, would say he wanted a "skyline engine in a Celica (00's), but in the back". I still don't know if that's a cool idea but it would be a feat
Just wondering Casey seeing how the wide body kit changes the CRX's look wouldn't the hood scoop look better if you extended it all the way to the front edge of the hood. Food for thought
I'm working on a 4 cylinder that's half a 540 BBC with Steve Morris basically half a 5k HP smx so it will be around a 4.4 liter 4 with twin 92s make 2500 safely on 30 psi 3500 max but this is a 90k build all billet 2 set of injectors and rwd floater rear end should be done for tx2k in my 92 eg hatch
LIKE THE VIDEO! Who’s excited for the wide body kit?!? Cus i am baby!
I am ecstatic!!!! Can’t wait to see it brother!!😎
Put some 2 by 4 square stock and u can drag them 😊
Nice thats cool too 😎 😊

Hell yea buddy, love your style.
You should have cut a damn sunroof and poked the shifter out the opening! I loved it. I love everything about this build. Beyond cool.
@@Papa-Bogey oh trust me, me and dad was talking about it one day 🤣🤣

Casey, check out Tim Moceri's twin-turbo J-swapped V6 CRX he's helping build for SEMA.
in the 29mins it took to watch this, over 1200 other people watched it. Casey, you are killing it!

This thing is amazing. Makes 300% more sense when you turn the key.

Great build its coming along keep up the good work 💯👍🏁
21:30 , I would delete all the molding on the side of the doors. Weld a sheet metal strip over the groove. Fill in all the holes.

This build is awesome! It reminds me of a Hot Rod Magazine build from back in the late 90s. They dropped a 500ci Caddi engine into a Chevette.

That's not how that works and you definitely seal a bare metal car before anything else.
These cars are the best to draw, and very cool looking, one of my favorite cars.
Those drum Sanders are awesome, I stripped my 94 chevy dually in a couple days and a ton of bondo
I did a wide body on a 72 camaro.back in the late 70s.had 70 up front and 50 in the rear.
Sweet can't wait to see to see it done done.
Deep down inside everyone who loves v8 always wondered what a v8 red Honda would be like. Crazy build love to see the work

Try running Warlock mufflers. They are dual outlet. Maybe run the exhaust thru the roller.

Perfect location for the exhaust! Save some money and "shave" the door panels. They would look cool smoothed and painted to match the exterior.

I believe me personally I would've used paint stripper to avoid scratches on the metal. But it's still cool I believe he gets it right
You should put nascar style boom tube's on it!
Chop top would be crazy on that thing
Square exhaust tip to fit that corner and it would disappear.
Enjoying the build though.
