3:59 - a #5 finishing nail in a predrilled hole is a very good way to “true” up a joint. Walls are amazingly not flat or plumb! - sound deadening roadbed needed IMO!
Id like a lesson on calculating the corner where u got the bridge ? The whole lesson is basicly mounting it to the wall how bout track set up electrical ect ect the whole lesson is how to hang a shelf nice job but limited info

Cool beans...I am 74 years old and in the process of doing almost the same setup as you have done except my train stuff in HO. My wife passed away unexpectedly and I got rid of our house and I am installing mine train in my 1 bedroom apartment and since you have experience...what time can I expect you to come help me...or PM me for suggestions and/or advice?
i think its a missed opertunity to not have a picture of a river or somthing typicly needed to go over in the backround and thus making a bit of art that would kinda pop out espechily if it was one of them slightly animated picutres were it looks like its a waterfall or somthing and the water efect is looking like it movese when relly its just a fancy illusion
Yeah, I'm not sure I explained it very well in the video. Basically, I was worried there wouldn't be enough power on the side of the track opposite the transformer. The right thing to do is to add a 2nd transformer for that much track, but I didn't have another outlet over there. So I connected the two ends of the track with doorbell wire instead. This effectively connects the single transformer to both ends of the track.

it's common in model railroading to run feeder wires to long sections of track. Not only for the long metal rails but also there are electrical losses at each rail joiner. Plus over time you can get corrosion buildup at each rail joiner making it worse over the years. You should have a feeder wire connection at least every 10 feet or so.
@@igelkott255 THANKS!!! BUT that is exactly what I don't understand. HOW TO ATTACH THESE WIRES AND HOW TO CONNECT THEM TO THE TRANSFORMER OR TO A TERMINAL BLOCK. SO ALL THE WIRES YOU HAVE GO TO THE BLOCK WHICH IS CONNECTED TO THE TRANSFORMER BUY ONE SET OF WIRES????? So if I need to run 60/70 feet of track, I need a TON of wire
@@joegennari395 You only need a single pair of wires for the length of the track. Set up a terminal block underneath or next to the track (you can hide it with scenery) every place you want to connect to the track. Run a length of wire to the terminal block then another from that block to the next block, etc. Then run a short feeder to the actual track. Nope. Only shallow inclines...it can do a very steep decline, but only once.
