Jesse really is the man when it comes to metalwork. I watched both West Coast and Orange County growing up and Orange County lost the battle in quality of craftsmanship hands down. Paul Jr. had innovative ideas for design but a lot of his bikes were made with prefabricated items like tanks and fenders. Whereas Jesse was building from the ground up all by hand.

Word of advice , when a person has their talent in front of them everybody else will say it looks great but the pro will always see a flaw that needs to be fixed and that is what makes the pro be a pro fixing the smallest specific details that other’s can’t see.

I don't want to talk shit against Jesse because he is a true craftsman but I see the kid working some and the other guy just watching. It would make more sense to me to see them working their own fender because the only way to really learn it's too try it yourself. Speaking as a self/coworker taught welder that moved to a fabricator. I would've never known how metal moved without trying it myself. Sure you start over allot and the first few projects don't look pretty but I learned from my mistakes and there guys have very little hands on from the visor perspective. Let's see you show them how and they try it. They will be father along in the long run. Again Jesse your a master craftsman. Let's see you teach the next generations your skills.

Mr. James, It is very helpful to remove the slag in the area to be fire welded before adding flux. You will be pleased with the ease of the weld sticking among the entire surface and less chance of hidden inclusions/cracks in the weld that we can't see. Hope this helps you. My intent is only to impart helpful knowledge, as we can all learn from each other regardless of experience. Enjoy!!
