I constantly refer to tutorial videos on U- TUBE playing in a pool league and for open matches an AP5 level. Really like your tone and the thorough instruction you provide so will be sure to look in more and subscribe. It seems common sense but that is part of my game that was missing until recently was visualising the shot, not only position but envisaging the object ball going in mentally. Keep up the good work

Hey, Sharivari. Just wanted to thank you for your videos. I'm between a 5 and 6 in my league and just kind of plateaued in the last few years, not knowing how to get to a solid 6 or even to a 6-7 and take on the top players. Your vids really helped me work on my basics and improve. Particularly, how to better prepare for a shot like in this video. But more importantly, I realized from your go-pro the power of the stun shot and where to visualize the ghost ball!!! These are things I stopped questioning since I was a novice player. No more rattles and I know exactly where my cue ball is going instead of guesstimating. Much appreciated. 🎉

My compliment is that the last part where you explained the unimportance in hitting the ball with slight english, you were true to the fact that it’s just (maybe fun to do sometimes?) and that you’re not egotistical with your skills. like yeah man, idk why i did that but it worked. btw, i screenshotted the analysis towards the end with each step by step guide. • @Sharivari

You don't necessarily have to do everything exactly like I do. But what's important, is that you have a routine that you do on every shot. A reliable and repeatable shot preparation and routine is the key to become a more consistent player.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Most of the whole exercise is hitting the cue ball where it needs to go for the next shot ; like in chess ; a body has to envision the whole table of balls ; and hopefully drop them in a controlled sequence........Where to strike on the Q-ball is paramount knowledge.......Look how the instructors cueball has dots around it's perimeter ; in many different hights off from center ; lots of geometry and trig lessons to be learned on that marked out cueball......Too Cool....

hello shariviari. thanks for your great videos. I don't think that if the cue jumps at the end is a problem. I am not sure if you understand what i mean. If the last position of the cue is parallel to the table, then this happens. I also saw this with several snooker players like o sullivan and lisowski for example. I would also like to know your opinion about the cue being parallel to the table ( at the end of the stroke) I think with this , the ball slide perfectly on the table ( which means no small jumps the white ball or something like that). I found during my experience that the ball slides nicely when the cue is parallel at the end. It*s a nice feeling i think :)

What is very interesting is how easy it is to hit a thumbs up but people dont much. Why is that. We definitly aprreciate the video and know the effort it takes even for a 5 minute videos like this. How much we gain from it. Yet cannot slow down enough or even think about hitting thumbs up. What is it. Is it jealousy. Is it laziness. Forgetfulness. Narcissism? I mean it doesnt effect us 1 bit so me as a human im gonna start hitting thumbs up on everything i appreciate. And that will be alot. Thx for the motivation man. I needed this before i play to try and slow down. I gotta find the right tempo to dance to this game. I go way too fast. But is i go too slow it can mess me up just as bad getting in my own head. Im gonna turn this game into my meditation somehow. I try to use it as a healthy way to cope with custody battle but end up pounding balls to take frustration out but then get more frustrated when i cannot run out. Owe well. Im off to try again. Thx for the vid. Thumb ☝

Any advice on your eyes when you're down on your shot? I have a good stroke and can hit very difficult shots, I can almost run racks but I miss random shots and I really don't understand why. I feel like it's something to do with my eyes jumping around too much.
When I'm down on my shot and doing practice strokes, should I look at cue ball or object ball? I feel like the right answer is the object ball or the intended pocked, but I find, especially on long shots, that I miss the right spot on the cue ball and go way off the shot line if I do that.

They say you should look at the object ball last when hitting the cue ball . But to be honest it shouldn't be something you are thinking about it should be subconscious. As soon as you start thinking about where you are looking it becomes a distraction and feels weird . Concentrate on staying as still as possible and working on your cueing technique and you will start missing less easy shots .

Steve Booth thanks a lot! Curing technique definitely sounds like my issue.
