Hey, I tried to achieve the same patch with a Korg Monopoly with the filter being sequence by the CV out of a Korg SQ1 step sequencer. But couldn’t really get the same vibe… I was wondering maybe a miss a step and needed a gain stage to calibrate the CV range of the filter. If you have any ideas, I would be glad to ear it. Thanks
Use a sequencer (like the SQ-1) and patch the CV out to the MS20 filter's cutoff input. Do not route this to the oscillator pitch though, the oscillators should be playing one pitch across all notes, only the filter cutoff should change.
this is brilliant. what sort of signal is being sent by the groundcontrol keyboard to play the position of the filter? is it pitch information? or gate to envelopes?
It is VCF keyboard tracking but (crucially) without VCO keyboard tracking. Synths usually automatically make the VCOs track the keyboard, but on some synths you can turn this off.

Maybe it’s the part where you patch the key input to the drop out put and then finishing to the filter input that I’m missing.

Exactly. With increased resonance it becomes more audible. Just in a conventional synthesizers pitch cv is hardwired to vcf in proportions
