I’m gonna be fr with you these are all waves but still what I was looking for. I very curly hair but don’t really like the length it’s at too much so I’ve been straightening recently so something like this gives it more life but you can’t really call this curly

The video said egg roll curls work best on short hair -- I think medium would still be perfectly fine!

could be just because of your hair texture, so pls don't burn it while trying
maybe i can help you, try to answer these questions
are you using heat protectant? (for moisture)
are you being slow / patient with the flat iron?
what type of hair do you have? if you have ultra stubborn straight hair you may need setting spray. if you have ultra stubborn kinky hair, your flat iron may not be hot enough, or you aren't doing it in small enough sections

Simpler way
Wear two braids for the whole day and one night and BOOM curls
In my hair that would stay for like 1h max after doing that... so it depends on your type of hair (mine doesen't hold anything for long without heating+product to fixate the hair)
