  • Creativity, versatility, groove, energy, dynamics -- the list of terms that come to mind when you think of Brian Tichy's playing is long. Probably as long as the list of artists he played with throughout his career: The Dead Daisies, Derek Sherinian, Billy Idol, Ozzy Osbourne, Seether, Velvet Revolver, Foreigner, Pride & Glory, Glenn Hughes, Slash’s Snakepit, Geoff Tate, Ace Frehley, Whitesnake. You just gotta admit that his love for drumming is just contagious!

I seriously think this guy is insanely underrated! He is far more polished and educated than most gigs, he's played, call for. Given that, he has excelled in every band he's performed with. Above and beyond all, if anyone could fill the shoes of the Almighty John Bonham, it would and should be Brian! No one else plays with that kind of passion and fluidity! His "drumeo" triplets performance was incredible! Brian is an athlete on drums!

one of the funniest interviews on this channel, what a greatt dude. He really is fascinated by druums, you can feel that tis guy still love what he does even agter years.
That part when he says the "Voices" on the druums tht you could use in a solo was very nice.

I first heard Brian with Billy Idol and I was hooked. He’s got a killer foot and he’s put in the work.

My favorite drummer…… his technique is awesome, power, speed, and his fascination with sound is much the same way I approach the kit and what makes me such a fan. Great drummer.

Got to know Brian when he played with Zakk on the Pride & Glory album and on Sass Jordan's Rats album and was wondering who is this guy laying down such a beat/groove. Best work he's ever done by date. Another one is Dave Abbruzzese amazing groove and swing

I really love what he did with Billy Idol.
In a way we can say that he's kind of underrated, but in the same time I think that he's always working so, all's good for him, and he's a MEAN guitar player too, unfair. 🙂
And also I think indeed that he's kind of overqualified for most gig he does, but hey, I believe he's a Rock'n Roll drummer at heart so there you go...

How come Brian Tichy's name is not on Dead Daisies Wikipedia's page? I came to know of Dead Daisies through Brian!!! Maybe Wiki Page needs an update? Just curious, that's all!!!

Where is the video clip of Brian playing this cool rhythm with the cowbell and the side snare drum from that starts at 2:40? I want to see more of that.

Was just listening to Steve Steven's "Memory Crash" the other day. It's a great album and Brian's drumming on it is phenomenal. He comes off as a really cool dude here.
Say man, are you aware of Léo Margarit, the drummer of Pain of Salvation? He's definitely a drummer more people should be aware of. Maybe you'll get him on your channel someday : )
