Surat Thani (สุราษฎร์ธานี) - On our trip to Surat Thani, we visited Khao Sok, and stayed at a very cool Thai eco lodge called Anurak Community Lodge (goo.gl/maps/riYf5huh6rrzaFgc8). Here’s a full review of the lodge and the surrounding area. #Thailand #KhaoSok #ecolodge #hotel
Anurak Community Lodge - I love the located and the area, surrounded by jagged mountains and within a grove of palm oil trees. All the rooms are named after Thai fruits, and each room is built on stilts above ground to protest from the elements and animals - probably! Rooms are basic, but very clean, and eco friendly. The bathroom is open air on the side of the room so you can hear the jungle. However, the room has AC.
Breakfast was ok, not fantastic, but the coffee was pleasantly great from Chiang Mai. The staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. They can also help to arrange any activities you may want to do in Khao Sok National Park.
Price - We paid $50 per night. We had a great say at Anurak Community Lodge and would recommend it!

I lived in Surat Thani Province in 2015, and made a trip to Khao Sok and was very impressed with the landscapes, and the park itself. Easily one of the best national parks in Thailand, and I've been to almost every province. I regret not being able to visit Ratchaprapha Dam which is apparently really nice with Bungalows on the water etc., but apparently you have to arrange your own transportation to get over there. Good video.
This is like a dream. I can just sit on the balcony for hours and the enjoy the tall trees and greenery.

My fiancé couldn't understand why I like to watch people eating he says he can't understand just watching someone eat but he's been watching you and he told me he prefers watching you because you are not just eating but you are traveling and giving us an insight to other cultures so now he is a fan of yours. VERY Beautiful place
I stayed there couple of years ago. Great place! There’s a massage spot in that village that was absolutely amazing. It was operated out of the masseuse’s house, and especially if you time it just right like I did, you get pampered while surrounded by the smell and the sound of a resting jungle. It is everything!
I feel like these are all the amazing places in Thailand that as tourists we are not really aware of yet. Thankfully we have Mark!!

Hope your channel would be successful. One feedback: make sure you do DEEP research before you review a place like Mark. Or any place you want to review. Also, be open to people’s answers to your videos! Mark has now visited a place that is a palm oil plantation. Cutting jungle forest just to plant
it. How is that sustainable? Providing accommodation that is extremely cheap only for the owner, because using a field between palm oil trees that are not used anyway, providing nothing for toursint for good money. No AC, the mosquito net on top has holes. So just be open minded, is my advice, have a clear and wide perspective. Oh yes, and rescued elelhants he claims? Sorry those elephants are abused. Maffia guys “rescuing” those elephants selling to maffia guys. How are those rescued? “Rescued” from plantations like this where they cut the jungle, great “humanity” and huge manipulation. Please note the wors in quotation marks :) goodday.
