Consciousness isn't meant in a subject/object way or in the same way as 'knowing' hen non dual speakers talk about. Consciouness is simply that which renders this appearance alive. if you took it away, the appearance would disappear. but its so hard to articulate cos these radical non dualists always interpret the word knowing as being 'someone knowing'. NOONE is knowing. there is just this and this is KNOWN by itself. Life knows itself by being itself.
