Thanks for this video. I've watched it a few times. I ordered the 5.11 Skyweight Utility and it was too tight around my torso. With a t-shirt it might have been ok, but not over anything heavier. I returned it. Next I ordered the Feiwood Gear pack. The version being sold now is different than in this video, but still checks most boxes. And it's larger around the torso. So the Feiwood is a keeper.

The Helikon Tex numb-bat has a large velcro tab to lock the panel in place over your CCW. In my view and without going to military modular MFF or micro-rigs the numb-bat is the best and most flexible civilian friendly chest rig on the market. Surprised you missed the velcro tab its large about 2 inches by 3 inches, right at the top centre of the back wall of the rig. 😀

Great video! I have the Helicon-Tex (same color as yours). I also carried a S&W M&P 10mm, 4" in mine. I wore mine during a cross country motorcycle trip and it very comfortable, I didn't even realize that I was wearing it. Quick and easy access to the M&P, but yes your are correct that the map divider would fall down exposing it. I wore it during a hiking/camping trip to the Sequoias and absolutely loved it! The Amazon copy actually looks pretty good and taking care of that problem. Thanks for the video, keep up the great work!

“I couldn’t decide which one so I bought several” haha, story of my life. Thanks for showing all the difference and more importantly how you’d use them!

Great video! These are the same options I was considering, so having the comparison here is super valuable.
I went with the Feiwood personally, because my main use is for fishing and I like the lay-flat surface and the cord at the bottom (for a water bottle or collapsible fishing rod) but I think all the reasons you chose the 5.11 are perfectly sensible. That was my runner up.
    Thanks for the reviews. Cheers!

There is a velcro retainer for the middle piece. But it is sticked to the back panel. If you pull it up, you can stick it to the middle panel and it will stay closed 😉

I don’t care how many candy bars the rig can hold. I want to know which chest pack can hold a .44 magnum or a 10 mm in bear country.

The Helicon holds my FN reflex ok but Glock 20 no way. The Felwood was a perfect size for the Glock 20 with room for a lot of candy bars. lol. I was hoping the Helicon was going to do it but the Glock just wasn't comfortable in it.

Know your personal safety devices. Teach preschool gun safety . Post-gun safety rules in all classrooms at all grade levels. "Never point a gun at someone. Always treat guns as loaded. Keep your fingers off the trigger."
In a free country where citizens are encouraged to own guns, so they can defend themselves from a tyrant government. You would think these rules would be posted in all classrooms. At least American History class.
When all capable citizens are armed, the random mass shootings will stop. No mass shootings in Switzerland. U.S. American leaders do not take the advice of gun experts. 25 percent of teachers in the U.S. want to carry guns to work. Communist rule will not let them. Armed teachers and staff will stop school shootings. Police presence is a waste of money and sends the wrong message. Furthermore, AR stands for Armalite Rifle. A rifle does not assault people, no matter what you call it.

Its really stupid to treat every gun like its loaded. If thats the case, you better not handle one in a gun store out of the display case, dry fire, or basically do anything but keep er holstered until its time to shoot something. Heres a better one, from a delta operator and literally everyone who professionally carries guns, “treat every weapon as it is and know its conditions, because peoples lives count on you knowing your if your gun is up and ready or if its down and dead..”
Ive seen too many goons be so afraid of guns because “treat it like its loaded”. While I walk around with unloaded guns daily in my house because handling is important
