    The fights with the supposedly bad Beatrix in FF9 and losing to her badly twice, until that one moment in Alexandria where she comes around to the truth and you get to fight using her. That bit with her and Steiner stuck out with me first time I played it.

    A kings tail:
    Final Fantasy XV
    The opening scene when noctis is get a story read to him by his father, and we get to hear the 8 bit music. It's just a kick in testalgias. Being a newer game it goes unnoticed and it a little sad

    I love ff10 and Tidus and Yunas Story.
    Seeing a bit awkward Teen romance in such a sad world warmed my heart

    Honestly, the intro FMV of FFVII running and then blending straight into gameplay still gives me the chills.

    While it lacks the *reach* of some of these moments by virtue of being a 'side game', Final Fantasy Type-0 (HD particularly, if only for the improved graphical quality) has been one of the most visually and narratively impactful experiences of all of gaming for me, never mind Final Fantasy. The many, *many* sacrifices; the heartbreaking lies and betrayals; the unfair, unavoidable losses along the way; the sadness even in the cameos and side stories of the game; the *inevitability* of the entire narrative: it's all breathtaking.
    Specific mentions, in no particular order [SPOILERS (just in case)]:
    The final boss fight;
    Qator's sacrifice and Aria's subsequent unfortunate death;
    The summoning of Alexander;
    Machina and Rem's showdown.

      Well, it's never said once throughout the whole game. And I will never get with the Teedus movement. It sounds worse than the forced laughter. Hrmm, maybe start a trend. Call him Toadus!

    • @AlmightyPolarBear

      "Tee-dus" is how his name is pronounced. Most people say it like Ben (Tie-dus). Yuna even says it like "Tee-dus" In Dissidia: Duodecim.

  • @SiliconSlyWolf

    I'd say FF 8 is still a fever dream of the creator. I feel like the outlier for FF 7 music, I was always more into J-E-N-O-V-A

  • @nightwishfan60

    It's pronounced Tee-dus same was as you pronounce Tifa ans Tee-fa also the laugh scene is meant to be dumb and awkward and sounds even worse in the Japanese version lol.

    • @yourgameisstupid
      @yourgameisstupid 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Everyone knows the laugh scene is supposed to be dumb and awkward. The problem is they overshot their goal to disastrous results.

    Final Fantasy X's... Hum... Cringiness... Is more a meme than an actual thing. Nothing encapsulates it better than the "laughing scene" which is ALWAYS taken out of context (it's been 18 years! Why does this keep happening?!)
    And it's Tee-dus, not Tie-dus.
