The only thing I prefer on Cubase compared to Studio One is the Chord Pad, and the chord track which is better. I'm not talking about stock effects and instruments, which I don't use
Cubase SamplerTrack is a real weapon! and Cubase´s mixer ist the best on the market. Effects, VStis and sample content are wayyy better than the boring lame stuff in S1. Former S1 user here. Now on Cubase 12/Cubase 13 - and very happy.
Same here. I thought the update isn't worth it. I was wrong. But I always wait one year to update to the new version. After one year the bugs are exterminated and the upgrade is discounted 50%. Iconic Sketch is great. Perfect to mix it behind analog synths. 😅 The one thing I still wish for a dedicated modulator-system / matrix which can be connected to all parameters of every VST. I guess that never will happen. 😢
I'm not from India but I worked with many Indian people and can do a near perfect hard Indian accent >D You rock man, thanks for the video I'm on the fence if to buy the upgrade or not ♥
Dear brother, I am from India. In 2022 I purchased cubsse12. Now I want to upgrade to 13. But a message from Steinberg about 'splice member' is a pazzaling one to me. I don't know whether I am a splice member or not.And I fear that may I get full version of 13 or not. Because they said this update is not suitable for splice member. Please help me.
I HATE the way Cubase stores and manages (Song) files. Studio One is much better if you make lots of files. The option to "rename" song in S1 is great!! In Cubase I end up with loads of Untitled01 etc. folders that it just drives me crazy
I don´t have a problem with this. I name my cpr projekt sensible (project or song/customer/date/version). And I use the key command for version numbers in Cubase. never had any problem in the last 23 years. I´m in pro post and voice over, commercial studio workin with public service broadcasters. It´s all about handling and correct folder/project naming (!) In each daw.
is it? No. I love Cubase - still the best DAW for music composers in 2023 just as it was in 1996 - but this update is a VERY MINOR 12.5 update and should have been free. Stick to cubase 12 guys, there's nothing new here.
@@EcstasyTunes I have cubase 13 this is why I am saying it's just a minor update. I always update on the day when the new version is released. Iconica I did not try honestly I have the NI suite so I tend to use that one with Kontakt but yes if you need orchestral sounds I get it it's a good deal... it's just the sketch version tho, not the actual suite... so a "moderate" good deal. Anyway in terms of DAW it's fundamentally identical to version 12. And in a time when Sonible etc etc come up with incredible new vst ideas using what Steinberg laid the foundations for with spectralayers integrating the full version of Spectralayers and its functions into the DAW more seamlessly may be a good idea for Steinberg right? Dunno... a gate that is capable of discerning between voice and guitar? An intelligent EQ? Steinber "invented" the denoiser (together with magneto and spectraliser in the 90s) and still to this day there is no denoiser included. I mean really? I get it, they wanna sell Spectralayers separately but it is uncomfortable to switch back and forth and in fact I keep using Sonible plugins even if in theory having both cubase and spectra I could do the same things without any extra plugins. Also the interface is the weakest point of cubase, it's always been and they redesigned it superficially instead of completely rethinking it from scratch in order to make the program more accessible and less convoluted... a truly disappointing missed opportunity.
The thing that makes Cubase 13 so unusable is the performance. It sucks, even after 2 maintenance versions. Try opening up the new Vocal Strip and watch the perf meter rocket up. It's bloat ware. Studio One is way, way better, why on earth would you choose Cubase 13 over it?
I don't think so . I have tried all major DAW like Fl, Reason, Studio One, Cubase is much stable than all these DAWS. For a composer/producer, stability is the most important.

yeah I love chord pad and I love the fact that it's stable compared to most of the DAW I have used.

I wish for that as well. But I’m having so much fun with Halion 7. Love the way sound design stuff that I can do with it.

Hi bro. Did you purchase Cubase through splice?
i want to upgrade but by the time i get it Cubase 14 will be out lol. it will be endless upgrades. Its a bit disappointing as a business strat.
Haha I feel you. But give Cubase 13 a try. You might like what they offer.
I found Cubase 13 consumes less %CPU than 12 and 11 (play same project and observe in task manager on Win)
Yesss. I love it.

Yes. They should work on that too.

You might like it if you try Cubase 13. It's fast, stable and love all the new features in Cubase 13. And Iconica sketch sounds amazing.

Cubase 13 works flawlessly on my system. I love most of the features of Studio One except that it crashes a lot.
@@EcstasyTunes fair enough!
On Apple Silicon, Cubase uses all available cores...Studio One does NOT.
Cubase will end up like Reason, by not listening to anyone, it will close its doors, I bet €1000 on it.
