Beyond the RISPITIS, this was probably the most one-sided bad umping I saw all year in a Dodgers game. Those bad calls affected the RISP numbers because it caused new levels of insecurity with our hitters.
Hitting is great but playoffs require solid pitching and managing. That's not us. Dodgers don't have a pitcher in the top 10 in ERA. Phillies have three. Padres have 2.
Dodgers only have 2 good starters they will LOSE. Yamamoto aint No Urias who can pitch as a starter and bullpen at any time . Padres, Phillies will bomb them bad
The home plate umpire was crap, but even that can’t overshadow the fact that the bases were loaded three times, yet they couldn’t convert those opportunities into runs. I don’t see them clinching the division. In the first round of the playoffs, they will be eliminated. Their pitching will be taxed again, and the offense will be inconsistent, if not, a no show. Ohtani and Teo can't make up for the rest of the bats. Now, if they’d been slugging consistently throughout the season, maybe they could entertain the idea of a championship run. But it seems unlikely. It’s déjà vu AGAIN. They will need a miracle because the Padres are ready, steady and strong, while the Dodgers are pitcher weak, offensively inconsistent and have a manager who makes BAD decisions. I'm already waiting for next year.
Walker and Miller cannot be trusted post season at any cost IMO. Tony Gonsolin might be a big help but he's had a mixed past as well and is just coming back so again command will likely be hot and cold. Roberts still refuses to put pen pieces in right positions. Having Hudson vs Blackman in the 9th was retarded at best. He just is so stubborn to thinking his guy will pull it off THIS TIME and we lose again.

Walker Buehler doesn't need to be in the starting lineup. He doesn't need to be in the playoffs either. Dodger blue is going to lose in the playoffs yet again. And the ump was biased.
All Buehler has to do is damage control. I know that sounds obvious, but maybe simplifying things can help tone our expectations. If Buehler, pitches for 6 innings and concedes 3-4 runs, that’s still a winnable game. That’s essentially what he did for this game, and we were close to tying things up. I’m a Buehler fan and I believe he can at least do that. I do miss prime Buehler, it always felt like a guaranteed win when he was on the mound.
Yes on the challenge system and playing more platoons. Especially in the playoffs. Shield Lux from lefties. Hopefully Walker is the 4th playoff starter and Knack the third.
Well another opportunity lost Walker Buehler giving up early runs and yes umpire did not help but Buehler has to be much more efficient he is too much up and down with every start....Roberts has to do a better job as well when Buehler starts to get early lead or has to apply better hitting early beginning of the starting line up to take pressure off as well

He's terrible, one of the worst OFs i've ever seen. Not to mention he's completely unnecessary When you have KK or Taylor, one of them will be on the post-season Roster.

This team lacks one big major thing: SWAGGER !, For a long time the Dodgers had a ' punch the other team in the mouth - we can beat you at anytime or anyplace " type of swagger. When J. Turner left they lost that swagger. The other team could not relax until the final out.
keep in mind they only won a world series in 2020 a season most fans think didn't count so they had those "swagger" players for years and years with no world series title wins just winning the division.

I think our record and our first place standing are masking the fact that we're just not the best team. Our hitting is inconsistent and undependable in the clutch. We either score 20 runs, or we make guys with 5+ ERAs look like Cy Young candidates. And our starting pitching is a joke. There is no way we make it to the World Series, much less win it. Yet another year of being great on paper but no being able to compete in the postseason.
exactly the hitting is inconsistent they can score 20 runs for a game then the next they get zero runs. the only consistent thing is the consistently bad pitching if they can't sweep the marlins or the rockies no way will they win a single game vs the padres they have to hope the dbacks defeat them after for them to maybe stay in 1st place.
