Hey can I remind everyone here … I’m in Sydney but it’s the 10th day anniversary of the Dodgers winning the World Series. Happy Anniversary fellow Dodger fans 💪🏻💙LA 🏆
In Brisbane Australia I will never understand why people talk down the Dodgers winning in 2020 Like it’s a Micky mouse WS We beat everyone in front of us We deserved it after astros and Red Sox
Plus we had no home field advantage we played in Texas for Pete's sake. And I remember all the other teams being there trying to beat us as well. I'm sure the sorry Padres would've taken it as their FIRST title lol
They have a heavy scouting presence in the Pacific especially in the land of the rising sun. Doesn’t matter where they come from. Nothing wrong with going back to back 💍🏆
An easy must-get player for Dodgers. Even though Sasaki's durability issues are something to worry about, given how he's coming to MLB as a rookie, not as a full-fledged free agent, Sasaki is the very definition of Low-Risk High-Return signing.
And what have the other teams been? The Dominican national team? And what do you call NBA teams? Why make it racial? Just enjoy the performances of great athletes.
So after signing Sasaki, Soto, Adames, and Teoscar: DH - Ohtani 2B - Betts LF - Soto RF - Teoscar 1B - Freeman SS - Adames 3B - Muncy C - Smith CF - Edman Ohtani/Yamamoto/Sasaki + Glasnow/et al + maybe Crotchet and/or Snell Regardless of which particular names fill out the rotation, it will be the case that 1) all six starters will be Cy Young caliber 2) everyone in the regular lineup will be all-star caliber, with 4 of them being MVP caliber That's wild.
What helps here is that Ohtani and Yamamoto just won a chip, in their first year none the less. If they run it back with most of the team they have a legitimate chance at repeating. this could be a very valid argument to recruit Sasaki.
there is NOTHING "evil" about the Dodgers, to be smart is NOT evil, what our Dodgers have done is to become the de facto Japanese team, a WORLD class global team....For Love of the Game!!!
Everybody saw how explosive Team Japan pitching was in WBC. Everyone saw the ratings from Japan. Pitching plays in mlb & ratings will be great for any team
Sasaki isn’t necessarily top priority. The Dodgers have a wealth of starting pitchers still even if Bueller and Flaherty are gone. Sasaki isn’t even a guarantee post season Ace. Any of Bobby Miller, Emmit Sheehan, Tony Gonsolin, Landon Knack, and Nick Frasso or even Kyle Hurt could be a post season starter who could come through. The top 3 if healthy are Glasnow, Yamamoto and Ohtani. The Dodgers may also get Crotchet or Fried or Snell who are valuable lefties. Sasaki is more for sure a future guy but even with Yamamoto it seems the Dodgers over paid. The Dodgers need to be careful every year in how they use Yamamoto. He’s a 5-6 innings guy and needs a week off. It will probably be the same for Sasaki and Ohtani even more.
@f430ferrari5 While I see your point, I absolutely think Sasaki is the #1 priority. Let's draw the basketball analogy, If Michael Jordan is available, you don't gi with anyone else.
This changes the off season for the dodgers big time. If they sign Roki then they can save a ton of money they would be spending on a potential ace, like Fried etc. Now we can spend it on Devin Williams and some other bullpen arms. Such a good era to be a dodger fan. Let’s go!!!!!
Sasaki will most likely be a Dodger. Perhaps the biggest reason is the fact that the Dodgers will be the only team committed to use a six-man rotation for next few years. Dodgers need to do this because of Ohtani, who only pitched with >five-day rest while being a full-time DH with Angels, but they can also do this because of Ohtani, who counts as a TWP so carrying an extra SP is not a burden to the bullpen. Not to mention a six-man rotation will help other max potential but fragile pitchers (Glasnows) whom Dodgers tend to collect. Other obvious reasons why Sasaki will come to Dodgers include their personal history, Ohtani/Yamamoto, the NHK airing mostly only Dodger games in foreseeable future (because of Ohtani), easier time wise for Japanese fans to follow west coast games than east coast games particularly on weekends, warm weather with the largest Japanese community in 48 states at hand.
In other words, Sasaki will be a Dodger mostly because of Ohtani. That $700 millions are possibly financially net positive. First, massive advertising revenues at the Dodger stadium. Second, the top of the market FA pitcher for a minor league contract. 😄 If Ohtani had signed with Padres, Sasaki might be going to Padres. The collapse of Bally Sports San Diego could not have happened at the worse time for the Padres.
Roki Sasaki is great another right handed pitcher to join Yamamoto, Buehler, Shohei, and Glasnow that’s 5 right handed starters. Dodgers need at least 2 lefties maybe Max Fried because Kershaw is not the same person he was 2-4 years ago
Roki Sasaki is the gem of the gem, and still needs to be polished his skills but seems to better than what Ohtani as pitcher when came to MLB I am awe...
Roki Sasaki admires Shohei Ohtani, a native of his hometown, and is friends with Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who played in the WBC with him. He is attracted to the Dodgers' generous treatment of pitchers and one of the best environments in MLB baseball, including team doctors. He is sure to join the Dodgers.
Roki prob knows LA is a great place specifically with the kind of endorsements that he will get not only from Japan but from all the Japanese businesses out here.

@@dfchang813 Nothing is 100%. Darvish happens to be in Japan right now, and he definitely put his beak near Roki's ears. Roki wore a Padre t-shirt that Darvish gifted him during WBC, Not a good sign.
I think Miller is done. I hope we bring Buehler back, he’s a proven product in playoff, that’s invaluable. Maybe Kershaw willing to bite the bullet and become a reliever? If Dodgers get this young man, the rotation will be pack, especially if they get Fried. As well, we keep forgetting poor Galvin Stone. He’s been solid.

Hey Doug great job with breaking the news, joining up with you guys from Northeast. Pennsylvania go Dodgers. So great to be a Dodger fan the best Dodger baseball ever is in process.👏🙏
Dodgers offer the best scenario: 1) closer to home (Japan), 2) WS champions, 3) one of the best Minor league systems in MLB, 4) Ohtani and Yamamoto (they will take all the pressure off him, just like Shohei did for Yoshi), 5) known to develop pitching, 6) one of the best hitting teams in MLB, 7) 4 MVPs on the team, 8) he won't have to carry this team, 9) he could use the Dodgers to develop himself (just like that young pitching phenom from Korea) and if doesn't work out with the Dodgers, he could go Shohei's route and become a free agent.
Sasaki is a TJ waiting to happen. it's baked into the cake. I would like them to get Sasaki and either Fried or Eovaldi too. But, they need a SS(Bat) and outfield bat because Sho's hitting might be compromised next season.
MLB rule towards pro baseball player oversea should be change, just think about Messi the football. Player like Shohei Ohtani n Roki Sasaki as minor contract is insane. NPB team has been invested their time n resources to those young folks. NPB teams n player should properly get compensated.
@islandboy6466 no i am japanese national who love MLB n NPB. I am hoping everyone wins n prosper with those superstar transfer. By the way I love Mariners, Dodgers, n Padres.(Western coast team) Sorry Angels, n Giants
It’s hard for a player to move to another country and be able to adapt. Another reason why Sasaki would be better off coming to LA is that the Japanese community is the biggest (in the USA, outside of Hawaii) here with many great Japanese food, supermarkets, retail shops, etc.. It would definitely be the easiest city to adapt for a Japanese athlete.
I Think dodgers need to continue using the bullpen game, what this does is getting bull pen time in the game without pressure and gives the dodgers a good look at pitchers in a game more often and gives them more experience when they really are needed, and don't forget the extra day rest for starters..
"Triple digits" should not be what impresses. Can he throw strikes? Can he get outs? Will he be durable enough to last an entire 162-game season? If the answer is "yes" for EVERY one of these questions, then he will be impressive enough for me. Every thing I have seen and heard about him is very positive. He is still young though and also he has to prove he is capable of lasting a full season - of any type. Not going to bet the farm on him yet, but everything looks good for now. The "turning the NPB into the Dodgers' Triple A" made my day too LOL
You can have 6 starters, Glasgow, Ohtani , Yamamoto for sure, Walker Bueler/Fried/Flarety/ Sasaki, don’t think we will have all 4 of those but at least 2 ,Kershaw won’t be back right away but that’s another one, he’ll be back

@drevm7991 I'm basing my position off of stuff, not numbers. His fastball has the rise again, curve falls off the table again. He looks like the old Walker plus he's ice 🧊
After baseball has been drafting out of the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico, etc. it’s was only a matter of time they tap into the Korea/Japan leagues. Go Blue!
Why don't we have a six-man rotation that you named. And every other rotation, use the likes of gosselin, Dustin may Bobby Miller, Sheehan. That way all our pictures will stay healthy!
@jeromealward712 yep I was jk but there definitely isn't room for all four of those dudes on the roster. They should honestly trade tony. Good problem to have I suppose. I also hope they make May a bullpen piece permanently
It's also a big news in Japan, seems this is really happening. Lotte Marines even told the media that Roki is going to Dodgers, so other teams shouldn't even waste their time going after him. My concerns with Roki: 1) physical fragility, he needs to gain muscle. 2) mental fragility, he can get easily upset on the mound. 3) adjustment to American culture, he is more introvert than Yamamoto. Hope he won't get too much stress from cultural adjustment and affect his performance. NPB is Dodgers' triple A? MLB is a peanut league for Ohtani 😂 Choose your words wisely.
It is hard to believe that Lotte MARINES management would say such a thing. That is unbelievable. I did hear that David Samson, former GM of the Miami MARLINS, said exactly what you said during the interview with the channel Foul Territory. Is it possible that you thought MARLINS was MARINES?
andrew has some thinking to do how he is going to do it i dont know but i wouldn't want to be in his shoes but what ever he does il be rooting for them i love the dodgers i bleed blue 💙
Roki Sasaki will be a Dodger. He is actually the bigger target for Andrew Friedman even before Yamamoto. The Dodgers were interested in him two years ago. With Yamamoto and Ohtani both Dodgers it makes total sense for him to come here knowing that the enviroment is a comfortable transition for him. Not to mention Yamamoto and Ohtani here that can convince him to sign with the Dodgers. Its a no brainer.....japanese players favor west coast teams and with the Japanese players now and all the people they have with them assistants interpreters it would be far easier for him coming to L.A. than it would going somewhere that doesnt have that type of support structure. Also the Dodgers history with Japanese players. ROKI WILL BE A DODGER and my track record on this channel predicting ssignings and even contracts speaks for itself. Trust me

Sasaki, Snell, and Arenado. We're done for this offseason.
they did
Can we kiss Walker goodbye? Or what’s the deal because as Dodgers faithful he still needs to be with the squad .
Walker looks like the old Walker. We need to keep him
@@salaialexander7022He pitched two good games after one bad one. That’s a tiny ass sample size.
Go Blue!
If the Dodgers get Sasaki, we will be relevant for years to come!!!!
DMAC WORKING AROUND THE CLOCK!! 💕💕💕
Welcome to Dodgers, SASAKI❤❤❤❤
Here we go Blue and White here we go👏👏👏👏
So, If Glassarm doesn’t have to get surgery, WTH was wrong with him in the playoffs?
MLB will soon witness the TRUE DYNASTY of the Dodgers 🎉❤😂
How many World Series will the Dodgers win?🎉😂😅
Why don't we have a six-man rotation that you named. And every other rotation, use the likes of gosselin, Dustin may Bobby Miller, Sheehan. That way all our pictures will stay healthy!
Those are trade pieces lol
@uthinkuknowme2649 they're not all getting traded. I know some are traded pieces. But some are staying..
@jeromealward712 yep I was jk but there definitely isn't room for all four of those dudes on the roster. They should honestly trade tony. Good problem to have I suppose. I also hope they make May a bullpen piece permanently
Will he only be available to pitch every 6 days, too?
It's also a big news in Japan, seems this is really happening.
Lotte Marines even told the media that Roki is going to Dodgers, so other teams shouldn't even waste their time going after him.
My concerns with Roki:
1) physical fragility, he needs to gain muscle.
2) mental fragility, he can get easily upset on the mound.
3) adjustment to American culture, he is more introvert than Yamamoto. Hope he won't get too much stress from cultural adjustment and affect his performance.
NPB is Dodgers' triple A?
MLB is a peanut league for Ohtani 😂
Choose your words wisely.
Wait when did the Lotte Marines said he’s going to the Dodgers?
@@sleviins I heard that in one TH-cam video I watched this morning.
It is hard to believe that Lotte MARINES management would say such a thing. That is unbelievable. I did hear that David Samson, former GM of the Miami MARLINS, said exactly what you said during the interview with the channel Foul Territory. Is it possible that you thought MARLINS was MARINES?
@wilburwood8261 funny, but no.
佐々木はどこに行くかはまだわかりません ただドジャースの可能性が高い from Japan
💪 Dodgers Baseball 💙🤍
They not like us 👊💯⚾
Go Dodgers
andrew has some thinking to do how he is going to do it i dont know but i wouldn't want to be in his shoes but what ever he does il be rooting for them i love the dodgers i bleed blue 💙
Im turning Japanese i think I'm turning Japanese I really think so ba ba ba ba ba ba ba😂
He is a DODGER 🤓🤓🤓
I have a feeling that Rob Manfred is going to screw this up for the Dodgers, somehow.
Most likely he will
Roki Sasaki will be a Dodger. Trust me
