Man, to think the tree here is just is the roots and the real tree grasps the crystal at the centre of the world stopping souls being filtered and releasing the exccess souls as the Mist. When it was dsicovered that The Mist was just souls that didn't make it, it freaked me out. This music spookily reflects that perfectly.
This is ranked right up there for eerie atmosphere with the likes of: FF8 lunatic Pandora FF7 city of the ancients FF4 lunar caves initial entry FF6 world of summoned monsters Excellent rendition Enrico! ❤❤
I always find it amusing how the tree has affectionally become known as the "Lifa Tree" as opposed to the "Iifa Tree", which I think sounds much more sinister. It took me years to figure this out myself as I just assumed Lifa Tree when I was 7 years old trying to grasp the concept of this story
One of my all time favorite tracks!!!! I was just going to ask you when you were going to do it and then out of nowhere you just bring it out like this!!! You're so damn cool!!! And this version is fucking awesome!!! 🔥🔥
OMG, I remarked on a diff video about this song saying would love to hear a remaster of it and you actually did it!!! Wow it sounds fantastic. Such an underappreciated song but 9 has so many bangers (and a 110ish long OST) so some are bound to be forgotten. This made my afternoon. 😮😊
I was 9 when I first played FFIX. I was so scared when I reached the Iifa Tree for the first time. This music is the main reason. That and the Zombie tree at the end. But this music is just so perfect. It's so scary and eerie. It really tells us that this place is anything but normal.
complimenti per il bel remix! :D Ti correggo su un errore che per anni ho commesso anch'io: l'albero si chiama Iifa e non Lifa, per quanto il secondo suono meglio e si avvicini al termine life :D

(The common English form of this name is Eve.) Emphasizing the tree's association with life, the circle-and-cross pattern on the front of the tree resembles the Ankh, an Ancient Egyptian symbol for life."

Right?? That was frightening
I hope I live long enough one day to see FF9 remake
Nope, not to see it, to live it, to be inside the game like SAO maybe?
If the ff7 remake is anything to go by, Sephiroth will probably be in it.

This is probably the most creepy sounding FF song for me. You went and managed to make it even creepier! Very awesome cover! 👍
The level of speed i clicked on this notification is crazy. I've been waiting for this one.
Man everything you made for FF9 is just super gooooooooooooooooooood
Up early for work and had to make sure I caught this as wasn't able to listen last night. Absolutely worth the wait. Enrico, you nailed it once again!

I been recently replaying ff9. It’s so good! The lifa tree is such a a crazy concept. It’s so sinister and the theme fits it so perfectly.

Love it, I hate to be that guy though but it's Iifa not Lifa.
@@RatchildUK I don't understand the difference, why don't you capitalize it?

Lunatic Pandora? Is that you?
The compare is very reasonable! Even in musical terms
@@EnricoDeianamusic I miss the liminal quality of the detailed backgrounds of PS1 era Final Fantasy.
I thought it was iifa tree
@@alexkrom99 yes you are right! It was my mistake
It’s Iifa, two i’s in the names love the music
@@eeebee6166 yes I've learnt the lesson! Unfortunately I can't change it in the video but corrected in the video title!
