can you guys PLEASE do a q+a style video on Stephens perspective on helping/being present with helping with a newborn? watching this video a lot of women are going to realize how much their husbands dont help/ say they cant help because of breastfeeding but Stephen seems to always try to fill your cup. and you for him as well! we need a video on partner sharing duties and advice on pouring back into your partner.
Yeah I second this! I mainly don’t want kids bc being a mom feels so unequal to being a dad, even if the dad wants to step up, society kinda forces you back into standard expected roles in a lot of ways. So having more assurances of men actually pulling their weight would help hahaha
I am 31, unmarried, no kids, found and loved you for the fashion vids, but I stick around for the vlogs because I just vibe with y'all. I hope the nay-sayers pass beneath your notice. Love that you share your little family with us ❤
28, single with no kids (and no plans of ever having them) but I love watching her beautiful family happy and thriving! It's the only vlog channel I follow lol
Your comment reflects my feelings perfectly (but with such better words than I would be able to type haha)! I’m 30, newly married, with no plans for kids and Sierra is truly my comfort creator 🤍 I love seeing her little family and her relationship with Stephen 🥰
I’ve been really impressed lately with how well you balance talking about and showing your experience with parenting without showing the kids all the time. You’re never shoving the camera in their faces and are very purposeful about what you show and don’t show of them and their lives. They’re adorable and we love seeing them but respecting their privacy the way you do is so important. I know that was a goal of yours when you became parents, so wanted to say I notice how well you’re pulling it off! Also love when Stephen vlogs!
I just love seeing Dad Stephen. He is just such a good man. I also have a good man Steven, can’t wait to one day see him in fatherhood. You and Stephen are so good at the “me time” you have such a healthy balance in your home
I never make comments but the other day my anxiety got really bad & I started to have a panic attack & my thoughts were I wish I had time to put on a Sierra vlog. You affect peoples lives more than you could think!
My grandmother told me they didn't really have breastfeeding clothes back when she was a young mom, so one thing she was very sad about was her loss of style cause she only wore a button-up shirts. So when she saw me with my son and how I just wore my everyday clothes and would just lift it up and feed on the go, she was so happy and proud with how unashamed breastfeeding was nowadays 🥰
I’m sorry but I found myself cracking up during your car chat any time you elaborated on the toddler phase 😂 my toddler daughter requires me to pretend I am grandma or grandpa constantly to get her to cooperate. Solidarity ✊🏻 😂
Your car chat made me SO emotional. I know you feel so lucky to have such sweet girls and family, but they are so lucky to have you too. I hope to be a mom like you when my time comes
You are giving me so much confidence about having a second kiddo. My first just turned 2 and I have only just started to feel like I could handle adding another little one into the mix. You are such an inspiring family!
I went to a butterfly garden over a decade ago, but I still remember having a butterfly land on my face! Right on my glasses!! Such a memorable experience.
My sister and I are 3 years apart and I think its the perfect split, we were close enough growing up that we could do the same things once we got a little older but enough apart that we got to be independent as well. She was also a senior when I was a freshman and it was so nice having my big sis drive me to school that entire first year ❤
You guys are a wonderful couple! I have always thought you were such an amazing mom Sierra! But I absolutely loved Stephens💕 and put in this video! I too am pregnant with my second daughter although the age gap is so I will have a little bit more of a helper since my daughter is seven and I amdue September! I’m so excited for you guys! They’ll seem like y’all just settle in to parenthood so amazing! He truly is a wonderful dad. I’m so glad that you have such a wonderful partner and that he has you and I love the way that y’all work together through this new stage and I cannot wait to see how my husband handles Hood with two girls he is already the most active that I’ve been around and I love seeing Stephens💕 perspective today!
I read something recently that has stuck with me so much. It said if you were going to spend time worrying about the worst case scenario, make sure you spend at least that amount of time thinking about the most likely scenario. I’m glad you guys are doing great!
After nursing 2 kids Ive never understood why people say they can't wear a t shirt while nursing. If you can lift it, you can nurse in it. Heck I've hiked up a dress to nurse. 🤷
As a mom who had 8 kids under 4.5 years and eventually 10 under 10. I find these videos so cute! Having a fresh-face set of new parents being truly partners and adapting to a new chapter in their lives. This is the easiest it’s going to be, but also the beginning of the best time of your lives ❤
Hi Sierra! I've been watching your channel for a very long time since probably like Disney bounding idea video days lol. I just want to say I love the growth. Love the self-love, love the family dynamic. I always love watching your vlogs and videos.
It’s funny because the more kids I have I just like grab a diaper and some wipes and go haha. The more you get out with both of them the easier it gets. Plus if things go sideways it’s like meh 🤷🏻♀️ we can try again later. There’s less pressure to make the outing perfect.
Your vlogs usually are my me time and I watch them alone but I asked my husband to watch this one with me as we’re currently expecting a baby and it was so interesting and precious to hear Steven’s perspective and see how you guys split your tasks and responsibilities. We’re so excited and so we had a lot of fun imagining how the situation would be for us in the future :) thank you to you two for sharing your experience with us!
Grace is an amazing child, so understanding and smart. My daughter was.and is like that. I just only wanted 1 kiddo. I hope Alice is just as wonderful and your family shines bright.
It’s refreshing to see someone talk about the switch from one kid to two kids. I’m doing it in July, and extremely nervous to get out of the house, thrift like we use to or just get to Walmart. There’s so many creeps out there it makes you worry yourself into staying home sometimes.
gosh i love watching your channel. you are so sweet and genuine. and stephen too. i love this channel (your main channel is fun too but this is the bread to my butter)
You are definitely handling baby & toddler like a pro plus the calmness that I feel you translating thru the vlog is enormous 😂. You are absolutely right about age difference. I had 4 daughters with gaps of 1yr (Irish twins / 1 day difference), 2yr11mo and 1yr6mo…def 2yr11mo was best hands down. Enjoying your beautiful family of 4 ❤
Your girls will grow up with the best expectations in a partner because of how involved Stephan is and how you well you both work together in both communication and trying to be equal in all of your responsibilities ❤
I have a 2.5 year old and an 8 month old. I personally found going out with 2 kids during the newborn stage fairly easy because baby just slept the entire time. I also did a lot of baby wearing. It got harder once he was out of the newborn stage and took regular naps. Now that he's bigger and sitting independently it's getting easier again to go out with the 2 of them because I can put him in the cart or in a stroller more easily.
Hey sierra! I prefer wearing high waisted shorts and tshirts when breastfeeding. TIP! Use a claw clip to hold your shirt up when you’re nursing so you don’t have to fidget with it! ❤️
Not sure what set up you have, but for pumping in the night I highly recommend getting a huge pile of pump parts and a mini fridge that you keep in your room. That way you can sit up in bed, pump, put the milk in the fridge in the pump bottle, pump parts in a bowl, and back to sleep - you hardly have to wake up at all.
My oldest 2 are 13 months 13 days apart. They are best friends. It was hard at first to just manage time with each, especially the oldest. But I can’t imagine not having both of them. Then there’s a 4 year gap between my 2nd and 3rd. Which was really great because the oldest 2 were HUGE helpers. I am now pregnant with my 4th. My 3rd and 4th will be 21/22 months apart. And my oldest 2 will be in school. So it’s going to be interesting to see how it goes.
I’m 39 weeks with my second and anticipating his birth any day now.. so glad I’m giving birth in May, the weather is nice enough to do activities outside, or even just hang out in the backyard! I live in Wisconsin and had my first in early February, which was rough.
lol Gracie is such a theater kid. Always cool when Steveo blogs it’s like the tech side. I plan on never having children but I still enjoy watching your and Rachel vlogs. It doesn’t matter that you both are in a different place than me in life. I just enjoy y’all personalities. How are the dogs doing with Alice?
Me & my boyfriend have been watching your vlogs for years together. Whenever we talk about your vlogs or alice we still call her "Prince Eric" because that's what Grace always called her when she was in your stomach!
My kids are 19 months apart and the first 8 weeks was difficult. My husband only had a few days off, but my mom helped a bit for 2 weeks and my mil helped for 1 week. I suffered a lot emotionally and physically myself. I love my kids very much ❤
I'm living for these vlogs. Our age gap will be 2 years and 3 months and I'm a little nervous about it! Our almost 2 year old is starting to become more independent but is still very much attached to me, so I think it might be an interesting adjustment for him when baby brother arrives... But I also keep hearing that it goes way better than you're expecting before you're living in those moments so I guess we'll see what happens!!
Ohhhh the fallout show was so good! Hope Stephen can talk a bit more about his likes/dislikes and games he plays! Don't shy away from nerding out, as there'll be at least 1 person who will understand
Used to meet up with 2 new mothers the contrast between two capable women was amazing one left the house and got out and about the other seemed unable to do so. The mental health of the first was so much better ,
With my second I figured how to breastfeed while wearing her in a carrier. It made things so much easier since we could be on the move. I TH-camd a couple of videos that showed how to adjust my wrap and then as she got bigger I was able to do it with other carriers.
You can wash everyone’s laundry together with a free and clear laundry detergent. It makes it easier and less loads. Also all tshirts are breastfeeding shirts 😁
I am so happy to see that some employers have progressed to proper paternity leave. Unfortunately many in the United States don’t offer enough maternity leave never mind the paternity leave. It’s definitely a different ballgame managing 2, but you guys really seem to be handling it well😉. Don’t sweat the small stuff and remember to always give yourself grace ❤
So many different opinions on this. For me 1-2 has been easier. My 2nd is 7 months old. I was a wreck with my 1st...so many life adjustments, house routines, parenting, caring for a child. 2nd go around there's less modification. It gets hectic, but it's more of the same hecticness if that makes sense?
Loose tops & stretchy lounge/yoga bras/crop tops are my favourite for breastfeeding! I find the the clip nursing bras fussy & expensive 🙈 I’ve even mastered feeding in a carrier using those clothing combos & letting my top drape around baby 🥰
I suggest to close the hooks of the nursing bras when washing them to avoid them hooking into other stuff. Sierra, look into nursing tanks. I loved those.
My son is the same age as Grace (1 day older!) and I had my second baby when he was just freshly 2. It was so hard because he was so jealous and didn’t understand much at the time. I feel like if I had had my second baby now, it would have been so much easier since my first born understands SO much more now and is so much more verbal. He also barely tantrums now vs when his brother was born when he was 2.

@@MissKathyG yes they did!!! It’s so cool to watch what seems to be a healthy loving coparent relationship.
