EASY UNLIMITED ASTRA During the Crimson Fleet Mission "The Best There Is", you meet Huan on the ship "Jade Swan". Astra can be in the Captain's Locker. As many as TWELVE from what I've seen. That doesn't even matter though, because after you take it, go to the lodge, wait 24 hours, go back to the locker, and there will be more. It's quick, easy, and unlimited. Stock up before it's patched.
Still works. Just started a NG+ and solely focused on getting to the Jade Swan. I just did the exploit for like an hour and a half, and now have 60 Astra and 400k credits from it.
Still working. I personally never saw more than 3 per locker visit (and a couple of visits there were none), but an hour of running this produced 38 Astra.
It also appears on high level enemies in missions (bounty boards). Not necessarily the big boss. I have 8 now from completing normal mission board activities. Also found some durring the Crimson Fleet locations.
If you purchased the other mission you can farm the chest in the fortified cave wait 6 hours on venus and repeat. I got one probably about 70% of the time and I got 2 a couple of times.
You also can go to Copernicus IV (to the right of Kryx,) instead of Venus. No scanning for contraband place an outpost there w/out putting points into Planetary Habitation.
I am not surprised: I need to do more research, and I plan on posting a follow-up video once I have more data (along with some general thoughts on the whole legendary scrip system in this game vs Fallout 76), but I have noticed that higher level/higher tier ships are more likely to have at least one Astra. I did some random ship hunting bounty missions last night (from the regular mission board as well as the Trackers' Alliance mission board) and the low-level Class A ships had no Astras, but higher level B & C Class ships had them more often than not. It would be better of Serpentis was a higher level star system, but most of the higher level ones don't have ships spawn anywhere near as reliably as they do in Serpentis, so it's a bit of a trade-off.
I haven't had any luck with finding any from end of dungeon loot crates even for the Tracker's mission board, but I play on normal difficulty. Like I said, I need to do more research.
I may have to try this, because I can't find any Astras except for ONE location: Abandoned Weapons Stations. This location has Astras 100% of the time, no matter what planet. But in my game, that's the ONLY location.
I've found them in a couple different points of interest, but nowhere near as often as on ships, and even if the spawn rate is the same, it only takes maybe 5 minutes max to board & clear a ship, wheras PoI dungeons tend to average about 15 minutes. Which means that you can easily loot 3 ships in the same amount of time.
@DJ_Bonebraker Yeah, you need the right ship AND all the fighting time. If you know where Abandoned Weapon Stations are, wait 48 hours, run in, run out. Great, now I just realized I have to keep track where I find A.W.S.'s.
@@GrizzyLatrizzy True, but just by doing one circuit around the Serpentis system, I can usually fly away with 3-6 Astras as well as enough XP to get halfway to a level up in about 20 min tops, even at level 100 on normal difficulty, so I guess it all comes down to playstyle & what you find to be most fun/rewarding.
Instead of destroying the other ships, I normally fight one ship at a time, then board each one and take it over. Then sell them later. With the new creation mods for Xbox it makes it a lot easier and cheaper. Especially the mods for paying no registration fee and for having 150 ships, though I’ll never have that many…lol But yeah, a great way to find Astra.
I have a video I made of an earlier version of the Razorleaf upgrade on this channel. I do, however, plan on releasing another one with the current hab configuration & weapons loadout... Turns out I'd been working under some fundamentally flawed ideas as to what the best weapons loadout was, and as for the habs, the main changes I made from version 1 is that I made the 3x1 into an all in one berth and I changed one of the 2x1s on the second level into a second control station so I can have max crew on the ship.
tried the new currency, got an advanced legendary armor, my companions' gears are even better, LMAO... a reloaded an earlier saved and not gonna look for that new currency again.
TBH, I'm just gonna stockpile it for when either Bethesda or some modder implements something like the Legendary Modules & legendary crafting from Fallout 76. That way I can just buy the legendary modules then use them to roll for legendary effects on gear I already have.
@@DJ_Bonebraker Have you tried Legendary Module Recycler? You can buy Legendary modules through the recycler, it has a vendor terminal. Recyclers can be placed at homes and outposts (first is at Lodge). It also adds Legendary Modules and Legendary Cores as drops in chests and on bosses, and modules/cores show up as components in the weapon or suit workbenches (yes, it strips and installs legendaries on armor as well. It''s been around at least since November. Oh, and there's no rolling for it. If you want an Instigating module, you buy an Instigating module, and so on.
I posted a video on my channel (it would be under the Starfield Stuff playlist in the gaming section) about a week ago. That version has a slightly different hab configuration (i.e. the 3x1 was engineering & one of the 2x1s on the second level was berthing.) as well as a different, less effective weapons loadout (I'd been working under some erroneous assumptions in regards to what the best weapons were). I plan on making a short updated build video to reflect the better hab & weapon choices along with the reasons I made those changes in the near future.
Yes, and my name is spelled like it is in my channel. You can blame that on the semi-literate Colonial English MFers who couldn't properly say or spell the original Swiss-German name, Beinbrech when my family first arrived in America in 1720 or so...
I'm hoping, since the Astra ARE essentially reskinned Legendary Scrip from Fallout 76, that either a future update or some modder will add some sort kiosk that functions like the legendary grinders you find at every major settlement & train station in Fallout 76. What those do is let you "sell" any rare, epic or legendary loot (1, 2 or 3-star gear in 76) you find for varying amounts of scrip. Even if it's just Stache who buys the legendary stuff off you for Astra would be great, because I am always finding what is essentially useless rare & epic gear, and all I can do with it currently is either put it on display in one of my ships or outposts or sell it... I have more thoughts along these lines on this subject, but I plan on going much more in-depth about it in a video I plan on releasing within the next week.
this is awesome!!!! I divorced my wife, quit my job and I now have 10,000 Astras!!!!!!

Does this still work?
@@ManBoy349I believe so, I had 12 Astra after I finished the quest

I found an Astra on a crewmembers dead body as I as fighting through ships. So check all bodies too.
I’ve come across that too. I definitely always check everyone.
I’ve actually gotten two from one ship. I think probably a level 72 ship but not 100% shure it was high level.Awesome video bud.

Ya I find playing on extreme and taking the mission board missions give me the highest level ships.
@@DJ_Bonebraker Can confirm this, I found 2 astra on the captain of a Var'uun ship but I forgot what level it was, my character is level 88 though.
Nice video! I have had 3 drop from one ship. I have also gotten it from the boss on the Tracker's bounty terminal in the basement.

Oh man! We have an Alestorm fan on deck.
I need new glasses. I thought the title said Ashta. I thought why in the world would anyone want to farm Ashta?! 😂😂
I mean, it would depend on their drops, lol
Can you show a tutorial on building your ship?

Interesting , Thank You . Have Fun. Happy Hunting
In 400+ hours of game time, I've received exactly one decent item with astras. I soon found a better item.

There is a mod also that changes the stock of weapons and loot you get from the astra vendor cause apparently he only drops trackers alliance weapons
I like the look of your ship. Do you you have a build guide for it?

How to turn a 3 minute video into 15 minutes.
Dirty, not quick.
Brake & break. Two different words...two different spellings.
