I just found you guys today, romanian here. I love how much you loved my country, and now it's your country as well. Romania has a lot to offer, it's a hidden gem, and you can't do it in 1 visit. Hope you will come again and see more of it. I recommend next summer, there is a festival called Waha, look it up, it's amazing, an experience you won't find anywhere else! Hi guys "Welcome to Romania". You guys should visit, Timisoara also, then Oradea,Iasi, Craiova,Alba Iulia, Constanta where we have a splendid beach site and of cours Delta Dunarii .

Other than the historic centres, all Romanian cities are encircled by ugly, neglected communist buildings. Cluj might be the only exception as systematisation had no time to reach it. I believe Romanian cities are some of the ugliest in the EU.

On the contrary, they are simply magnificent, but obviously a symphony cannot reach the ear of any idiot. The communist buildings can be really sad to look at, but thank God: As long as they still exist, they have a huge meaning for the Romanian people (huge as the miracle of surviving, as a small Latin nation, the three cruel empires around it). That of never forgetting the horrors of communism and generally the horror of the historical curse that came (and continues to threaten) from the east.
fun fact if you didnt know Romania ints a latin country so if you speak france--spanish-italian or portugese you can understand some words since they all come from old latin and the word romania in latin means citizen of rome
