You both so treasure your time together. You have had a unique opportunity last year and these past few months. Looking ahead to your future adventures. Follow the light.
I just finished watching Happy Thoughts AT vlogs from last year where you and your beau’s relationship is budding in the background, must be so surreal to have that captured in videos
I wish the best with your new contact. I’ve enjoyed watching your adventures over the last 2 years . Thanks for allowing us to tag along with you . God bless you and your family
Thought that you would come to California. Mammoth, Yosemite & Lake Tahoe. You didn't miss out because we had a terrible heat wave this summer. Even at the beach its 80 degrees. You must have cooked hiking So Cal desert PCT.
I agree, in the Mammoth Lakes area there is Thousand Islands lake, and my favorite Garnet lake. They are probably on, or near, the John Muir trail which would be a piece of cake for you. Starts at Yosemite and ends at Mt Whitney (or vice versa).
@@TheAdventuresOfDougan I read in the news someone drown at Thousand Island lake. Heard Garnet lake has some good fishing there. Yes I agree two of the most beautiful lakes around.
@@kevinmuraoka720 I very nearly drowned at Thousand Islands lake. The lake is fed by glaciers and the water is deceptively cold. My hiking buddy warned me not to go swimming but after a couple of days of grueling hikes, I couldn’t resist. Now I know what stage two hypothermia feels like 😁
What!!!! No way! You drove through my homeland and literally drove by where i live! Crazy! And i laughed when you said Canyon de Chelly. Lol. Chelly is pronounced as Shay. Yeah kinda funny. So many great stories about that canyon and the area. Farmington is a awesome place to. Its a great central location to visit numerous sites in all directions. So crazy you drove right by my house because I literally recognized the road you took. Awesome!
Canyon De Chelly is an amazing place to spend time in and hike down to White House Ruins and other sites. The permit requirement must be a new thing. I lived in that area (Many Farms) for awhile doing student teaching. Such a culturally rich area to visit.
I sure have enjoyed following your travels from the AT to the south west. Thank you for sharing your journey with us! Stay safe Miss Kelly! Can’t wait to see where we go next!
I laughed when you pronounced Canyon De Chelly as it brought back an awkward and unpleasant moment as I was doing a random summer vacation I was able to take that summer of 2007 from here in Alberta down to Colorado exploring the back country on 4x4 trails and then headed down into Arizona passing by the four corners since it was dark anyway and I was not finding any good place to pull over to sleep so finally I just pulled off the highway near a texas gate/fence and went to sleep in the back seat. My windows were open as it was hot and I had fallen asleep and suddenly there was a flashlight shining in my eyes and I couldn't see anything and just woken up so was a bit out of it and blind as a bat without my glasses. Its a Sheriff he says and he is asking what I am doing and I said travelling and was tired so I pulled off the road to sleep and he wondered where I was headed and I said Canyon De Chelly. Well I pronounced it similar to what you did Kelly and he said, you mean "Canyon De Shae" ( that's the way it actually sounds, who knew ! ). Anyway he went on to say that there was an older male who they were looking for who had left the scene of a domestic dispute situation and was armed with a rifle, drunk, and was last seen driving a red ford pickup and he is wanted and dangerous. He thought I might have been a victim, of course that was not the case yet ... but told me to be on the lookout for him and stay away from him if I spot him etc. Well that sure makes a person feel all comfy and going to go back to sleep again LOL. By the way I did hike to the bottom of Canyon De Chelly and across the valley floor over to see some ruins and also drove the rim road and saw Spyder rock etc.
No shortage of changes presented within this video. Not sure I could become comfortable with so many future unknowns. Hope you are able to keep yourself smiling through it all.
Wishing you the best always on whatever you choose to do in life. Enjoy your time home and the wedding. Can't wait to see what else you have planned. Take care 🙏💖
Every time I want to get a van for this kind of stuff, the bad roads somehow deter me from it. My truck can make it through every bad road I've found and there are plenty in the Shawnee National Forest. But it definitely doesn't have the room as your van would! Great video!
👋👋 you guys past like 1 hour away from we’re were we-live we have one off the oldest church’s of New Mexico called El santario and has a great Restaurant if u ever come back to NM check it out and you Il have a place to stay with my family., God bless and stay safe 👋👋😊
I remember going to the White House caves 30 years ago in my 30’s. There was a rope ladder to cross a river and I could NOT for the life of me climb it. Also failed the pull-up portion of the physical fitness tests in HS. Ended up just foraging the river, no currents. I was in decent shape. Watched most other females behind me follow suit.
Hey Steve! Feeling a lot better. Still have some really random unexplained low energy days that I’m not used to and some aches and pains here and there but for the most part feeling 100%. Guna be making a whole video about travel healthcare soon explaining what I do and how it all works!
Times sure have changed. In 1975, I car camped cross country. I pulled to the side of the highway and slept in the car. Occasionally, a cop would check on us but no big deal. At 200000 miles the van needs a full service. Good Luck, Rick
the permit thing surprised me, I stopped, trekked down the trail, looked around. Two Navajo women were there selling trinkets, talked with them threw 'em a few bucks. Easy peasy but things change I guess. Ate at the Denny's type place in town except it was one gringo me and everyone else was Navajo, but a waitress is a waitress and I was into fry bread.
Attempted that years back but there was a draw with flowing water - not deep - but I wasn't giong to attempt it. Hard driving on the dirt, 20 mile drive you you have to do 20 miles an hour or slide around on the dirt. It's sorta a tough get.
So just tell us, what is the relationship status! Why aren't you taking a contract in Virginia? You hang out together for months on end and then he flies home. The end. The end!? There has to be something special if you can hang out for months and still be on speaking terms at the end.
*Too- Come-Carry* I use to live there when I was little. So cool to see you guys stop there!
You both so treasure your time together. You have had a unique opportunity last year and these past few months. Looking ahead to your future adventures. Follow the light.

True , it's one reason I no longer travel at night , although much cooler , temp wise , but big , unrepaired potholes prevent me.
Pronounced Canyon de Shay!!
😢
Wonderful Video. Amazing 👌❤

We're taking over this wedding...
Kelly, Two questions: How is your COVID recovery coming along? Can you say more about the Travel Health care contract? Thanks.

You are in Navajo Nation ... What state or country?
I’m a little bit sad.
What happened to the audio at the end of the video?
Not sure it was all kinds of messed up tho I apologize lol
Wow, that damned duck is still following you!! WAAAAACCKK!!! :)
