I agree with the awkward pause to the season. Those who set up the calendar should really do a better job. Most location jumps make absolutely 0 sense, and we have so many awkward pauses. It completely kills the season.
Having a 3 week break only a couple races in is a huge momentum killer. Once we get away from street tracks it’ll be better. To complain about redbull in the second year of a reg change before their wind tunnel deficit has even kicked in is laughable though. Non Merc fans dealt with much worse
To put it simply, Red Bull have just done a far better job than everyone else as well as Ferrari and Mercedes drastically underperforming and the fact Aston have overtaken them both is really embarrassing. The point about the disjointed calander is definitely a valid one. I don't think the racing has been boring. Theres a lot of recency bias in the amount of interteam battling we are to expect from F1 after 2021. Theres a lot more action this season than many others in the past couple of decades.

2014-16 was painful but at least there was legitimate battles with Lewis Vs Nico. 2017-18 were good in similar way 2022 was good, good championship fight between the top 2 until it sadly fizzled out. In 2019 it was a bit like this year, rough but at least Ferrari could use their rocket ship to power themselves to some wins, the season kinda picked up a bit by mid season. In 2020, it was a rough start but thanks to the pandemic and such we had some unpredictability. 2021 was the peak of F1 since 2012, nuff said. 2023 so far has been mid like 2019 at the start but at least there's a chance it could pick up a bit by mid season, depending on the development race, idk, kinda dead rn though. Race cancellations haven't helped but it happens, ultimately.
2017 was one of my favourite seasons of all time, we also still had our iconic drivers, Kimi, Seb, Felipe Massa too, Ricciardo in Red bull, Seb and Kimi teammates, Alonso's epic team radios.
Completely agree with the first and last points. The calendar is just ridiculous at this point and this long gap really killed the momentum. Can’t even remember an early season gap like the one we just had in previous years. Felt exactly like a mid season break when all we should have is one big break. The calendar itself also needs serious sorting out. I remember the days when we started off in Melbourne and finished the season in Japan and depending on location you knew exactly where you were in the season. Now it’s completely disjointed with no logic and making it unnecessarily hectic for teams. Lastly I think we all came into the season expecting Ferrari or Mercedes challenging RedBull but instead RedBull moved even further ahead. Much like in 02 everyone thought Williams were gonna challenge Ferrari and Ferrari ended up miles ahead. Still after 2021 and first half of 22 Max deserves this one on the platter. All the greats had a season like this.
Very good analysis. It’s still kinda weird being mad at Pirelli for producing actually good Tyres but I get it. If I’am completely honest I believe F1 never recovered from banning refueling. That was such a crucial Strategic Element and they just can’t seem to find a replacement for it. Those 10-15 Second Stops really made the Races, even in the early 2000‘s with MS being front runner what happened behind got way more exciting due to the long stops. And 1 Stops have actually been heroic almost mental acts when I started watching back in 96.
Let’s just hope they don’t cancel any more races, since they obviously have to interest in re-scheduling or replacing them. Making the gaps in the calendar even more damaging to the flow and momentum of the season.
2020 was boring from a title fight perspective but the races were so crazy that we were more than happy. 2021 had 2020 energy but with a title fight. 2019 had crazy races thrown in the mix, 2018 had an early title fight and some interesting and one crazy race, likewise with 17, 2016 had a title fight and excitement here and there. This season hasn't quite hit that.
Before Austria, 2019 was almost the same as 2023. The teams behind were close but were no where near Mercedes. Then, once they realised both championships were wrapped up, I'm guessing they focused on the masterpiece that is the W11, and Red Bull and Ferrari were more or less equal to the Mercedes. We could see a similar pattern this year, with Alonso, Russell and Leclerc fighting for wins with Checo and Verstappen after the mid season break, as Red Bull focus on, what I assume will be, the RB20 (Wait, Red Bull will have been in F1 a team for 19 years next year... Geez)

I'm not bothered about the dominance thing. It's there's too many street circuits, and there's too many breaks in the calendar. F1 is becoming less about the racing and more about making money. Liberty need to get their priorities straight. The Miami GP is an absolute pose fest, and it's a sh!t race.
i miss the 2007,2008, 2010, and 2012 season those seasons were great. 2021 was pure insanity. I feel like our perception of a season has been messed up cause of that.
In Miami, if you switched PER and VER with RUS and HAM, the ad nauseaum of how great the race was would have been endless. The boring is the result of the 8 scrub teams failing to show up and won't be compititve until next year, all the lackluster rookies, and baring from some crazy weather event or team errors, the race outcomes seem inevitable.
It isn't that boring to me. My main complaint is the ridiculous Pirelli tyres that last forever, killing the strategy. The dumb street tracks are also a concern obviously. Meanwhile Red Bull dominates, but I still enjoy the midfield fights. I want to root for a team to rise up and challenge RB, so that's what I'm looking for with Aston for example
So you think this is exciting who cares what happened 6 years ago and of you actually watched those seasons you'd feel the same way. These long breaks are killing it for me

For me it’s simple: -Bad tire specs and no strategic battles. - No on track action because everyone is managing all race. -Red Bull dominant (everyone else dropped the ball) -Midfield is different every race but the gaps are large at each race so no big scraps. -Very little politics at this stage. I do think it can get better though.
All anyone needs to see is the Championship table and the Pirelli Pitstop charts to understand but also the driver errors across the grid have been plenty and the "pinnacle of motorsport" thing is really difficult to sell with the season so far.
Considering the fact that it's now easier to follow thanks to aero regulations since 2022 and also the fact that the field spread is now smaller, is it perhaps so easy to follow, overtake, and also have minimal performance advantages that the best always win and there's no satisfying underdog result?
1) Red Bull and Friends is what we are tuning into (not their fault, they're doing a great job as a team) 2) A sense of an identity crisis in F1 (too much of street circuits) 3) Boring strategy (if we don't see closer racing, a not variety in strategy its bound to be boring)
We had 13 drivers on the podium. That's record since a lot of times. If red bull didnt messed up their car there would be a championship fight as great as 2021.

Watching Ferrari every race is entertaining to me. Especially when they score pole positions. How long can their advantage evaporate as fast as their tires on track is entertaining or a gust of wind will blow Leclerc off into the stands. Miami was interesting because Red Bull not pitting Perez who had pole to give his position up to Max later. One other thing that interests me greatly is how Mercedes Petronas will take their car into a different direction to give their drivers a chance to compete with Ferrari and Red Bull #purpoising. I hear they still want to keep investing into this low camber design and airflow over the tires they believe will pay off. Last, Watching Yuki outperform Gasly and Nick De Vyres Exception of Miami
Just throwing my two cents out here. What if this season we change it up to mandatory two stop races. It should allow the drivers to push more until we can either get a new supplier or some new compounds that make strategies more interesting. Again, just talking to y'all.
Good point about the calender and those boring streetcircuits. Streetcircuits are shit. F1 needs to be the pinnacle of racing. Monaco for tradition, the rest of the year professional circuits please. No shabby street tracks.
10:24 Tires are the biggest differentiator.....2012 was great because the tires worked very well for random teams up and down the pitlane leading to crazy swings in performance. Tires need to last long enough with qualifying level of grip, and not be like 2013 (with blowouts/explosions) or like 2018 (where they're slowing down to make tires last), but they need to bring back the cliff/crossover points with limits like in 2012.
The teams will literally go back to 2018 tyre saving if that happens. It's funny how F1 is now closer to a short endurance race rather than the sprint that it should be.
Correction: “Boring” I don’t think it’s been *that* boring, but the ride height change which has greatly affected the racing in comparison to ‘22 is glaringly alarming. That’s what the whole new regulation change was for. And now it’s been wah-wahh. And my argument is that it isn’t the tyres, but they’ve been choosing a harder compound because of the heat last year, but this year it’s been cold, so no deg! It’s not the tyre to blame, it’s the compounds chosen. F1: Fix the regulations again to bring back the racing and stop focusing on meddling with the format with all these sprints, adding more street tracks and so much novelty which strays far from the REAL Formula 1 dna.
Thank you not bashing Red Bull just because they did a great job and actually bash the other top teams as they talk so much but didn't keep up with the new regs. I'm getting tired of hearing Red Bull needs to be handicapped as they're too fast. I didn't want Mercedes to be handicapped when they dominated for yearsas it was amazing to watch Ferrari and Red Bull fight to catch up over the years to Mercedes.
2023 season is boring solely because of RedBull complete dominance. I was cheering Max to win his first title over Lewis so Brit hegemony come to an end, but right now is the same for Max and RedBull. His dominance is way over anything we saw in F1 so far. Every GP is ended with his 20+ sec time over the rest so it’s really hard to watch and sadly it’s not making any sense to watch any further :/
I think even back in 2022 there was already the feeling that the season feels comparably boring and that idea probably got worse now. And one interesting thought I heard is that we probably got spoiled by how hectic the 2021 season got so everything after that seemingly falls short. But outside of that I feel like another factor is how there's apparently even more difficulty in overtaking due to difficulties in following. Seems like we started the new regulations with a bang with battles between several drivers involved during the race and now it looks like we're back to square one on difficulty in overtaking.
2021 was my first season that I watched live....I think it set standards way too high because historically, the majority of races seems to be pretty predictable
I’ve been thinking for a while now that Pirelli can do a lot more. They def make enough from f1 and the teams to specially design tires for each track, if not individually, than still more specialized tires.
This season has been alright. Far from good but not bad either. But because we were spoilt with 2021 being the most entertaining season ever by far we expect so much more now
Hi Aldas, honestly I've been watching F1 since 2002, but I'm my opinion, the seasons post the hybrid era apart from the 2021 one, have really been boring with only one team dominating throughout the season. I mean drivers coming from the back of the grid and winning is a shame for the sport and it shows the difference in the cars. Others are just ducks in the machines which makes the sport so dull.. I really want F1 to come back to life 😢
Don’t forget the cost cap and the sliding aero allowance, those will help close the field spread but it takes time so we all need to be patient! And not expect every single race to be the Super Bowl/ World Cup, some races some years are just not as enthralling as others. That’s what F1 is and there’s no way of changing it unless F1 becomes Indy or FE or had BOP. But then it wouldn’t be F1.
The start of this season is a preview of the direction formula one is taking. More and more street circuits and weird sprint weekends. Formula one no longer cares about the quality of racing. They just want to host huge events and bring in the money.
If someone watches F1 for the battle for the lead and for the battle to win the championship, then in the last 10 years you had 1 season of that. This season RB is dominating but you have a 3 team battle for 2. Bellow them you have Alpine kind of in the middle and a 5 team bottom half with no back markers. Red bull aside it as been really close and competitive. What we need is 2 stops to see team battling more.
I think it's far from boring. All team has chance to score points, 5 driver fights for the podium. The problem is: the (one of the) best driver has the best car, of course he will dominate. And his teammate is not good enough to fight him. That's all. But the gaps are close.
This is shaping up to be 2013 2.0. There was at least a championship fight from 2014,2016-2018. And crazy races made 2019-2020 fun. F1 fans have been really spoiled since 2005 I guess. Although 1997-2001+2003 was also great.
This video is a perfect explanation of my thoughts. I think the worst part this season really has been the tires. And the bored feeling really came in the long break. After Australia a lot of people were very excited about the season.
My first thoughts about this weekend is how much will Red Bull win by? the four week break didnt help either, five races in and its nearly June already. I do see why the hardcore fans who arent big fans of RB will be bored, believe it or not Im enjoying the races more this year than last. I had to edit this to include Baku, thats how memorable it was for me I forgot it happened 😂
I think the battle between Perez and Verstppen is pretty interesting.. and Alonso in the AM. for me, this season is one of the more exciting seasons since years. 2021 was a very special one ofcourse, season like this only happen once in 15 years.
After the most boring domination of Mercedes which was 7 years long and by a much bigger difference than Red Bull is ahead now. Anyone saying that is either a new fan or a Mercedes or Hamilton fan.
Up to now, I had all kinds of respect for you and your analyses. This, however, changed my opinion 180 degrees. This is bull and an attempt to please the clueless. I’m a F1-addict for about 50 years now and I’ll tell you;?F1 never has been boring. Yes, there are periods/seasons/years in which cars/teams/drivers have been showing dominance. Sure, but that hasn’t been boring at all! It’s boring if you don’t have a clue where to look at and what to look for. In this era were tv registration can be combined with on board cameras and all kinds of data available is fantastic, it’s precisely the opposite of boring. It hasn’t been so exiting as currently due to all this. If you, as a F1 follower, you confuse dominance with boredom then you have no idea about this racing in particular and F1 in general. You have absolutely no idea where and how to follow this sport.
Red bull purposefully picked someone that they did not believe would challenge Max nor do they want him to. Max isn't racing anyone! There is NO championship! Why in the flying f*** wouldn't this season be boring? At the end of each season all cars designs need to become public domain so that there is no longer these insane multi season monopolies where there is no competition for the title. I started watching F1 in 2012 as well. I have kind of always accepted that it was an aristocracy. But after ten years I cannot get around the fact that in that entire time I have watched F1 only 2 teams have procured the championship and only 4 drivers from those 2 teams have become champion Seb, Max, Nicole and Lewis... 😕
One of the things I feel that has made F1 boring is; the cars have got heavier and bigger, and with all the street circuit don't be surprised to have a boring race, maybe bring back a few old tracks, and make it easier for other teams to join, would love to see more than 10 teams, reduce street circuits, and as aldas said about the tryres, bring back more compound of tyres and every race the teams will be mandatory to use a soft compound of tyres. Personally I don't feel like this season is too boring, I've been watching F1 since 2016 and yeah that's how it is, just like Aldas mentioned.
A change in tyres to make it more about them would actually be a good idea because, Alonso being great at tyre management and tactics, he could actually fight Checo and, at some point, even Max, which would give us a bigger fight and would mean that changes in tyres would be double good
I wouldn't say its been boring but I do agree with you, the calender has not helped and I know to some degree it was out of there hands but it really does need looking at. The sprint weekend left me very underwhelmed, the weekend was disjointed with no flow to the climax of the weekend the race on Sunday.
I think overall the only way that 2023 is boring but 2017-2020 wasn't is British bias. There are definitely issues with 2023 (China has been cancelled 4 years in a row, and 4/20 total attempts to run it, so it was foolish to have it there to begin with, especially not as a triple-header; shorter DRS zones; Mercedes' complete failure to be competitive; no wet races; Pirelli's shit tire choices; ), but it hasn't been a bad season by any stretch, especially with Alonso's Aston Martin resurgence and a wild mid-field!
I agree with all your points. It also doesn't help that the lead team broke the cost cap and it feels like they're doing something wrong being so dominant.
1. We should have had 7 races by now. 2. The Checo vs. Max narrative that by the 10th race will be dead in the water Also, you really aren’t giving ‘14, ‘15, ‘16, ‘17, ‘18 battles enough credit. This season is dull because without another team challenging, Max has pretty much won.
As someone who is a nascar and Indycar fan, F1 is the most "boring", the fact that it is a construtor's series has a lot to do with it, If someone like Mercedes (in the past) or Red Bull (currently) have a dominant car with a talented driver, they can run away with almost every race. The majority of the races lack side to side wheel to wheel racing and there are hardly any passes. This is something that we see a lot in Indycar and Nascar. With F1 you pretty much know that Max is going to win every race unless something bad happens. With the other series you don't know who is going to win each race.
Part of me thinks it has to have something to do with the commentary. Because I'm from the Netherlands I watch the races with Dutch commentary on Viaplay. I noticed this when I saw the reaction to the Miami race, the reaction from English speakers seemed to be that the race sucked and was super boring whereas all the Dutch people I asked thought the race was great. We all watch the same footage, the only thing thats actually different is the commentary. So maybe that has something to do with it.
@Aditya Narain Maybe, but it's hard to focus on Verstappen when there's no cameras on him because he's miles ahead. Sure, the pre show and post show focus on him, but the race itself we get the same race you do.
Im a red bull fan and a max fan and im absolutely loving this season and anyone whos complaining thinking red bull should be pegged back blah blah blah your washed go get in the bin who ever you support more than likely mercedes just needs to do better so ye
I don't find F1 boring. However, from this year, I don't miss F1 when it's not on. Probably because I'm following other form of Motorsports. GT racing especially the GT World Challenge Europe races. The endurance race in Monza and the 2 sprint races in Brands Hatch. I'm watching this video after tuning into the Nurburgring 24 hours, where the brand new Ferrari 296 GT3 won overall. And yeah WEC in Portimao and Spa, IMSA in Long Beach and Laguna Seca. The weird break did not bother me. There's so much racing out there. And most of them better than F1 to be honest.
on the tire front it might be an idea to bring back supersoft and ultrasoft and let go of pirelli making the decision on wich compound they bring along. in that case the teams are able to chose between more then just 3 compounds. or to have pirelli stick with the c1 c2 c3 compounds (the softest range) and no other, so there is no real chance in most races to make it to the end on one set of tires. offcourse its just a thought...
Like the longer format, we are always hungry for as much information as we can get. You covered what new F1 fans need to know, F1 is what it is, it can't always be 2021. The flash in the pan, Drive to Survive, fans will loose interest anyway.
When there was talk about tyres having short "lives" - before Pirelli was given the job iirc - one of the companies said that if they wanted to, they could make one set of tyres last the entire season. It wouldn't be a _fast_ season, but it would be possible. Building them to fall off a cliff unpredictably was far more difficult. 🤷🏻♀️
I think people have nostalgia glasses, go watch older races and it's full of cars driving alone and winning/losing purely on pace and pitstop strategy.
Tyre management is destroying F1. It makes for boring and unexciting races. The lack of the soft being a good race tire is a problem. It needs to be much quicker than it is. I totally agree with Karun Chandok that all three compounds must be used in a race. I really think this would spice it up.
Pirelli should just make the perfect tire, and the FIA limit the amount of laps a driver can do on the tire. That way you'll have drivers pushing the tires all the time, you'll take care of the enviroment, and you bring strategy back into the game. Rules dictate the range of the tires and not physics or drivers managing them.
Formula 1 has been completely crap for the last few years. Red Bull on auto pilot. Verstappen walking it. The cars are lumbering. Piss poor entertainment.
Mercedes and Ferrari are to blame for all of this, they (especially Mercedes) for producing poor cars two years in the running, fans should blame their teams not FIA or RBR
Sport is like that, even football where you get 0-0 matches sometimes. However, it just makes those random special moments even more memorable and extraordinary. I think the many changes to the format within such a short span of time (new Spritn format and new Quali rules regarding tyres) put my mind in a confused state, I can’t fully relax and enjoy what I’m watching.. Also, as a new fan, interesting you talk about tyres, because I never considered the part they play in affecting races. However, won’t making the tyres degrade faster seem like artificially trying to make the sport more exciting? It’s like what a fair few are claiming what F1 is doing with sprints.
I think the problem with tyres is having 5 compounds and only choosing 3 right next to each other. There's i think 3 better ways to go around it either make it all 5 at once (a 4 stop tyre, 3 stop tyre, 2 stop, 1 stop) kind of evenly spaced out performance wide, or just select C1 C3 and C5 adjusted according to performance as well, i mean Pirelli has all the data and to both allow no stops or force the use of all 3 compounds, which for me doesn't really make much of a difference, but still better than this borefest of one dominating strategy
Funny how Indy Car does better than F1. Indy Car tire strategy on road/street circuits are often very fascinating, with teams thinking one compound will be the preferred race tire, only for it to be the other. Indy Car heavily uses ground effects.....cars can follow close, and don't porpoise. While still difficult, passing is much more prevalent, and passes for the lead are not rare.
I agree with the awkward pause to the season. Those who set up the calendar should really do a better job. Most location jumps make absolutely 0 sense, and we have so many awkward pauses. It completely kills the season.

Geez)
@@potatogirlcultist19 In 2019 ferrari had chance to win at least one race. But they screwed up hard. In Bahrain that season Ferrari could've easily got 1 2
@@lukealvarez3744 Yeah, I remember the really stupid team orders debacle in Bahrain, where Leclerc was at least 3 tenths faster than Vettel but they forced him to let Seb by "for the championship"... 2 races in... With hindsight, it was a preview of what was to be the next 4 years of Ferrari... I remember the pre season as well, where everyone thought Ferrari had a car miles better than everyone else and it was going to finally be "Seb's year" with his Mansell moustache.
@@potatogirlcultist19 after Austria that 2019 season alongside 2021 is one of my fav seasons ever, we've had some really nice races that year Canada, Austria, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy and Brazil.
@@LmdsLucas Not forgetting Germany as well. My word that was an insane race. 5 teams fighting for a top 3 finish. Then 2020 had some bangers as well, like Austria, Italy, Tuscany, Turkey and Sakhir. I found it funny how the cars were deigned to make more exciting races, yet ever since 2022 only Bahrain 2022 and Great Britain were exciting races imo.
And guess what? Those seasons are the exceptions not the norm.
Forget 2009 lmao
In Miami, if you switched PER and VER with RUS and HAM, the ad nauseaum of how great the race was would have been endless. The boring is the result of the 8 scrub teams failing to show up and won't be compititve until next year, all the lackluster rookies, and baring from some crazy weather event or team errors, the race outcomes seem inevitable.
Like everyone can just employ Newey lmao
It isn't that boring to me. My main complaint is the ridiculous Pirelli tyres that last forever, killing the strategy. The dumb street tracks are also a concern obviously. Meanwhile Red Bull dominates, but I still enjoy the midfield fights. I want to root for a team to rise up and challenge RB, so that's what I'm looking for with Aston for example
Minimum 2 stop and some races 3-4 would be fantastic. I hope Alonso make history with a win in Monaco.
Really weird how racing wasn't boring when someone else won 6 titles in a row and now a lot of babies are crying that it stopped...
So you think this is exciting who cares what happened 6 years ago and of you actually watched those seasons you'd feel the same way. These long breaks are killing it for me
People complained quite a bit when Hamilton was leading. Why do you think that Red Bull shouldn't get the same treatment?
I wouldn’t call it boring but the excitement has certainly been dampened especially compared to 2021 and even 2022
@@gameofender4463 The season's just started. 2019 was even more boring than this in it's first 8 races, but it got better in the second half. We may see that this year

@@gameofender4463 Alonso might win if Red Bull have issues and that would be a pretty special moment. They surely can't win every race right?
For me it’s simple:
-Bad tire specs and no strategic battles.
- No on track action because everyone is managing all race.
-Red Bull dominant (everyone else dropped the ball)
-Midfield is different every race but the gaps are large at each race so no big scraps.
1) Red Bull and Friends is what we are tuning into (not their fault, they're doing a great job as a team)
2) A sense of an identity crisis in F1 (too much of street circuits)
3) Boring strategy (if we don't see closer racing, a not variety in strategy its bound to be boring)
It still doesn't feel as bad as something like 2020. Maybe because the novelty of RB dominance lol
Without Alonso it would be truly a boring season
2020 had a lot of more chance for a random 3rd place finish...
@@foxy126pl6 2020 is somehow both the most boring uncompetitive season and the wackiest races

@@raulpetrascu2696 How COVID made the year so much better than it would have been. We had classic tracks returning like Nurburgring Mugello Turkey Imola Sakir short circuit, new winners Gasly and Perez and crazy races like Austria, Italy Sakir Turkey 70th anniversary and Mugello and Imola
Hi Aldas, I really like this style of videos. More of these please!
Being British, it MUST be, as no driver is in contest for the title.
Please keep the longer videos coming! There is never enough F1 coverage, in my opinion.
Good point about the calender and those boring streetcircuits. Streetcircuits are shit. F1 needs to be the pinnacle of racing. Monaco for tradition, the rest of the year professional circuits please. No shabby street tracks.
I would also add that shortening drs zones is a huge issue.
British media is making it even worse with its dead beat commentary it is someone’s funeral when RBR wins
The disjointed calendar is the worst imo... the weird long pauses makes it feel like the season's not properly started yet (and we're 5 races in!) 🤦♀
10:24 Tires are the biggest differentiator.....2012 was great because the tires worked very well for random teams up and down the pitlane leading to crazy swings in performance.
Correction: “Boring”
I don’t think it’s been *that* boring, but the ride height change which has greatly affected the racing in comparison to ‘22 is glaringly alarming.
I think a big reason is less it’s been a poor season more we had an amazing season in 21 and to a lesser degree 22 fans now expect that each season.
Ferrari and Mercedes literally didn't improve causing this boringness of 2023
2021 was my first season that I watched live....I think it set standards way too high because historically, the majority of races seems to be pretty predictable
I’ve been thinking for a while now that Pirelli can do a lot more. They def make enough from f1 and the teams to specially design tires for each track, if not individually, than still more specialized tires.
For me, it is just been that disjointed calendar. It feels like the season hasn't got going.
This season has been alright. Far from good but not bad either. But because we were spoilt with 2021 being the most entertaining season ever by far we expect so much more now
Icl in most of the races so far I nearly fell asleep
The new sprint format might work in Brazil and in England, but even that is a stretch imo.
No more boring than the start of the hybrid era when MB won seven championships.
After Australia a lot of people were very excited about the season.
the 2019 season was boring until the 9th round which is the Austrian GP
although there were glimpse of hope in the 7th round which is Canada
Maybe f1 wouldn't be so boring if they actually pass each other instead of follow the leader i guess thats racing
I just want another 2021 season, is that too much to ask?
After the most boring domination of Mercedes which was 7 years long and by a much bigger difference than Red Bull is ahead now. Anyone saying that is either a new fan or a Mercedes or Hamilton fan.
Is this how it felt during the Mercedes year for non Mercedes fans?
Fantastic video keep it up you're doing amazing things 😁👍
Just go watch data flow and numbers then. On track action is boring.
Massive gate keeping and lots of fallacies in this one. Keep ur mind open man.
*Make Car Smaller and i am pretty sure we can have a great race again*
Ever since Merc complained and blamed RB for cheating having their floor flexing the FIA made the teams change it and Ferrari lost a lot of pace.
@@Cooe. I do watch Indycar. It's better then F1 in many ways.
A change in tyres to make it more about them would actually be a good idea because, Alonso being great at tyre management and tactics, he could actually fight Checo and, at some point, even Max, which would give us a bigger fight and would mean that changes in tyres would be double good
Both Checo and Max are also great at tyre management tho.
For Alonso to get close to Max and Checo he needs a better car.

I wouldn't say its been boring but I do agree with you, the calender has not helped and I know to some degree it was out of there hands but it really does need looking at. when i finally cough up the money to subscribe to watch all the races... 🤦🏽♂️
Boring is an overstatement imo. But definetely less interesting than most seasons. That said, I agree on all of your points, great vid!
Well, now it's the Max show. It's better than the Lewis show.
Its not boring! The previous 2 years have been abnormally dramatic! I've been watching F1 since the 80's and rest assured, this year is Not boring!
2018 = 2022 imo
Max narrative that by the 10th race will be dead in the water
Also, you really aren’t giving ‘14, ‘15, ‘16, ‘17, ‘18 battles enough credit. This season is dull because without another team challenging, Max has pretty much won.
The only races I’d watch again from last year and this year is the 2022 British, Dutch, Hungarian, Singapore, US and Brazilian GPs.
I like your videos best with show all the photos and f1 footage with you talking in the background 👌🏾 love your videos though bro
Aldas is such a good content creator everyone let’s appreciate this man
As someone who is a nascar and Indycar fan, F1 is the most "boring", the fact that it is a construtor's series has a lot to do with it, If someone like Mercedes (in the past) or Red Bull (currently) have a dominant car with a talented driver, they can run away with almost every race.
It could be because of Verstappen winning
@Aditya Narain Maybe, but it's hard to focus on Verstappen when there's no cameras on him because he's miles ahead. Sure, the pre show and post show focus on him, but the race itself we get the same race you do.
Im a red bull fan and a max fan and im absolutely loving this season and anyone whos complaining thinking red bull should be pegged back blah blah blah your washed go get in the bin who ever you support more than likely mercedes just needs to do better so ye
Great insight, Aldas!
The 24 hours of nurb was crazy.
on the tire front it might be an idea to bring back supersoft and ultrasoft and let go of pirelli making the decision on wich compound they bring along. in that case the teams are able to chose between more then just 3 compounds.
or to have pirelli stick with the c1 c2 c3 compounds (the softest range) and no other, so there is no real chance in most races to make it to the end on one set of tires.
offcourse its just a thought...
Like the longer format, we are always hungry for as much information as we can get.
You covered what new F1 fans need to know, F1 is what it is, it can't always be 2021. The flash in the pan, Drive to Survive, fans will loose interest anyway.
Its pretty simple. I dont watch boring seasons like that. Call me when they fixed it.
I've stopped watching F1, found it boring and I'm not currently interested in returning. Indy 500 is now much better. it's basically a parade.
boring to the brits* I'm having a blast !
Most f1 seasons/races are pretty boring tbh
great vid👍
Love this type of style of video, its like a podcast but slightly edited. That said, what happened to F1 Talking Points?
F1 is more entertaining then ever!! People have watched too much dts and have too high expectations
Oop I'm so early! Love your content Aldas!
