my old boss has followed wigan for over 40yrs,he's seen everything from the dark days at springfield park to promotion thru the divisions, even his grandad watched them in the 1920s when they were called wigan borough. a true fan
Best day I've ever had. To think we're going back there again next moth is just unbelievable. With Uwe Rosler in charge as well, this dream just never ends.
I really love Scharner's passion and love for this football club. It was sad to see him leave the club he loved the most, but to see him come back and win the FA Cup whilst saving the cup he loves from relegation touches my heart. When I saw him cry, I was almost going to cry, and I'm not even a Wigan fan. However, that love for a football club is something only a couple of players have. I hope he stays with Wigan and retires with them.
Paul Scharner seems like someone really happy to be at Wigan, his interview after the match was great . Really like players with that mentality towards a club especially since he isn't even English.
Im not really into football much but well done Wigan! Football now is all about money / so Wigan have done brilliantly! A team with a huge amount of supporters and/ or a very rich person giving them funds who go to each game will always have more money and therefore more success than any smaller team. Its like justice in a court of law, the people with the best and most expensive lawyers nearlys always win regardless of justice. I always stick up for the underdog.
I don't have a praticular club, Manchester United though is the one I mainly prefer but that doesn't mean i'm a gloryhunter or whatever I just enjoy watching the sport no matter whose playing. I have quite a few players I like, Messi, Van Persie, Torres, David Villa, Wayne Rooney are some players I enjoy. The point is that my arguement is that just because Wigan are most likely to get relegated doesn't mean they're not allowed to win a trophy. Arsenal is unlikely to win a trophy though. Agree?
without a doubt wigan will be straight back up just hope its trough the play offs to help with financial side , the likes of kone can piss off wigan dont need him with the money they get out of him a decent striker will come in he's just bottling it to play in euro league come the latics :)
Birmingham is a big CITY, Wigan is a small TOWN who average over 19,500 fans a game in a 25,000 capacity stadium in an area having to compete for fans with teams like Liverpool, Everton, Man United and Man City, as well as competing with the rugby for fans; yet we still took a quarter of Wigan's population to Wembley (25,000). Every time I see Birmingham on tv, there is no atmosphere there at all How many FA Cups have you won again?
It's that Beausejour git of yours. He got you relegated after you won the League Cup, and did the same thing for Wigan. That battered old cliché of "a funny old game" springs to mind.
I hav to admit Wigan was the best team in that match although overall city are better player but fuck me look at Callum mcmanaman he's great I remember when he was on loan to blackpool goofs times ( I am a Bpl supporter )
Oh yeah, by the way, if your support is so much better than ours, how come a team in the second largest city in England like yourself can only get 14,000for home games this season? Our average attendence is 14,649 and we are a small town of only 100,000 people....what's your excuse?

Best day ever, whatever happens from now on I'll never forget that day, immense, still can't believe it.
THIS was the highlight of the season. Seeing an underdog team working hard and winning! And their celebrations following are just so heartwarming :)

Magical
Roberto Martinez is such a great manager Everton should really go for him
Congratulations Wigan From Manchester City Fans
That is what you call true sport
When you work day in and day out to be a winner and achieve things its natural to be disappointed and mad/sad.. Doesnt make them unprofessional
Kompany is a model professional. He didnt sulk, he did the right thing and clapped Wigan when they got the trophy...unlike a few other City players.
1:02 Sos grande espinoza.
Thank you Roberto Martinez
Congrats Wigan you made the Euro league
Played the Great Escape music, but they still gotta do another one of then. No but well done today Wigan!
This is truly beautiful. 2 dislikes? I guess there's 2 jealous unhappy City fans about...
well done wigan
conrats wigan :)
wigan deserve to be in the premier league
Dude, for a club of 11million squad price, and battling and knocking out the big clubs clearly deserved it!
Wigan!
Nice game
Espinoza and Figueroa are both national pride in Honduras.
Im not really into football much but well done Wigan!

Did anyone hear about the mix-up with the medals?

Is that John Henry interviewing Martinez, again wink wink...
isn't it nice to see sometimes a small club with small budget win a cup final thru hardwork and not overpaid star players...
Confused me yesterday because why did wigan only put tones of effort into this game , why havent they played like this all season
aww Espinoza with the Honduras Flag!
match highlights please

who is the guy on the floor being carted away at 0.09 ?
the fa cup is like the champions league to them
Passion > money
It's that Beausejour git of yours. He got you relegated after you won the League Cup, and did the same thing for Wigan.
That battered old cliché of "a funny old game" springs to mind.
Kone could of atleast scored 3 if they passed to him he was in great positions
How?
I didn't say they was 'unprofessional', just that some professional players should model what Kompany did then.
Say money is everything to someone dying of cancer.
It isnt.
Whats importants is your health.
First and always first.
Martinez, sign Joel up in the summer.
Paul Scharner 0:49
You shouldnt let money ruin Fooball for you.
Everythign is about money, not just Football.
0:24 We have won the FA cup)))
This sums up Man City's season.
Lets hope wigan dont do a portsmouth
Mccarthy's Face at 0:35

I hav to admit Wigan was the best team in that match although overall city are better player but fuck me look at Callum mcmanaman he's great I remember when he was on loan to blackpool goofs times ( I am a Bpl supporter )
passion beat money
Sadly Wigan haven't returned to premier league since then .
dortmund had the least money of all as well and they are in the final in fact in 2005 they werent going to be existing becauce they were owing money
wigan relegated and will play in npower championship next season , but wigan also play in UEFA europa league in the next season , come on wigan
