funny story. my bloodhound (his name was Copper by the way) used to take naps in the bathtub. we'd go in there to pee and he'd just be staring at us from the bathtub. there were a couple time we thought he had run off, but he was just sleeping in the tub.

All of these Beutiful babies who bring laughter and love to our lives that it is very heart breaking that they are with us for only a short time. I would give anything to have my life line tied to my Dogs so when it comes time we would both pass on. 😭

It was my wife's dream Dog ever since she was a child, she wanted to have the ultimate hide and seek dog. My wife and I trained Bloodhounds for Human Scent Discrimination for over 30 years. We were both given the opportunity to train Human Scent Discrimination Bloodhounds with the FBI right after our Bloodhound was Poisoned right in our back yard just over 20 years ago, Now that's a pain you just can't heal from or a face you will ever forget. His name was Marley, Marley was the first RCMP validated Search and Rescue Bloodhound in British Columbia Canada. Victoria BC Canada. BTW Bloodhounds are one of the last Ancient breeds still walking the Earth.
They're a lot of work and extremely stubborn. When they're sweet they're the sweetest dogs on earth, but boy can they be a handful. If you don't have a yard or field for them to run around in then you'll be walking them for miles everyday (still won't be enough) as these dogs are generally very high energy. I love my ladybird but if I'd had a better idea of what I was getting into, I would have gotten a different breed. Bloodhounds historically were bred to work independently of their handler, they'd be in a pack, tracking down game (or escaped prisoners) oftentimes with miles of separation between themselves and their handlers. This is why they bay incessantly, that is how their handlers would keep track of the dogs, you can hear the bays for miles.
When you live with a dog, you can say that he shows you various other kind behaviors. There are some kind gestures and behaviors that only your dog would do, so it would be interesting to find out what kind behaviors your dog usually does.🐶🐶🐕🐕🐕💖💖💖💖💖

And to think they would Cull any Bloodhound pup that had white past the 2nd knuckle, also if you could not cover the white patch on their chest with your closed fist up until the 1970's. There is a reason the FBI still train the Best of the Best for what they were Bread for. Fun fact, Bloodhounds were proven to have the ability to be able to Scent discriminate 1 particle out of Trillion.
They're the only dog breed whose testimony is accepted in official court proceedings.
