- How did we do in the month of June? Did I overspend? Debt and savings progress, examining everyday spanding, and more…
Our debt story- Find out how we racked up $35k in consumer debt!: • Our Debt Story | Payin...
Welcome to my everyday ordinary channel! I will be focusing on budgeting, debt payoff, savings goals, and general personal finance topics, combined with monthly resets, cleaning, meal planning, and whatever else you would like to see!
About me: I am a married working mom of two in my 30s. The past 10 years of my life has been spent living in high cost of living areas and working full time while raising two kids. During that time our family developed some bad financial habits - cycling through credit card debt, lack of budgeting, overspending, etc, and it’s time to take responsibility and develop healthy budgeting habits so we can achieve our goals. Our main goal is becoming homeowners in the next year, but in general I want to become more financially stable and secure!
Please leave a comment if you have any questions or simply relate! I would love to meet you! 💛💛💛

You can have your categories however you want. I put shampoo and conditioner for the family under household. Beauty is specifically mine. Again, you can categorize however makes most sense for you!
I wouldn’t say that it was bad that you broke even because it could be worse and you could have gone over 😅 progress not perfection and now you have a new goal to aim at for next month!
Thank you! Yes one day at a time 🤞🏼💛💛
Insurance seems extremely high. I am in Utah and pay 100 for three cars. One brand new 2 pretty old. I would say around 150-200 for new cars full coverage is more normal.
Hope everyone had a great month! 🌻
Id definitely say that's high for insurance. Have you had accidents or anything on your record?
We pay like $270 for 5 vehicles and homeowners insurance. Also in iowa so that makes a difference. But it still seems high...
No we don’t - gotta get husband to look into it!
Are you able to get another balance transfare card for your Amex the interest rate is horrible and will save you money.
You are not getting free air miles you are funding it via interest rate. I would balance transfare and close the card so all payment will be going to the amount you owe.
I am enjoying following your journey 😁
Thank you! I really do need to make the leap to balance transfer and then only using cash/debit for all purchases and wean myself off of credit. It is scary after years of relying on credit cards to give a buffer 😩 but I think I will have to!
@@OrdinaryEverydays absolutely do it at your own pace.
I feel like the way you are doing it at the moment, is a constant catch up.
You are essentially a month behind by putting all expenses on the cards then paying it off at the end of the month.
It's not easy, but you can do it 😁💪
Take your time ❤ Do the budget the way you want to do. ❤❤
Commenting for some support & to cheer your on 💕 , love your aesthetics & colors 😊 beachy & a little calypso-feel 🏝️ 🍹 - Lord knows with all the craziness we all need a little more chill in our lives 🙃
Sending some positive vibes too for cancelling some of those subscriptions 💪🏼
Also it’s not easy facing all the tough stuff, but it takes courage to look back to see what went well-and maybe looking at what could work better 🙏🏼 🧗🏻♀️
The sadness in looking back isn’t a bad thing because it means youre being real with yourself & still in the game for the big stuff you know? 💪🏼
Sigh, potential problem with using a credit card you’re trying to pay off is the possible added interest on the new stuff 😔 🙏🏼 the interest just sometimes feels like money on fire 🔥 after doing all the math 🥺
Big picture: sending hopes that you & your fam can keep going to be freer-bit by bit- from the stress of the debt roller coaster 🎢 but still budget in & experience more important joys without guilt! 🥹 (And finally get the house! 🍀) Thanks for sharing 🏖️ & cheering you on thru all the challenges 💕
Thank you so much for this comment! I appreciate the support 💛💛💛 it is tough but I need to get a little tougher so we can get out of this! One step at a time 🤞🏼
☺️ 💕 You can do it seriously - just like you said, one step at a time 💪🏼
