I believe C&D has multiple journalists drive each car. It's just due to the limited footage of one lap that you get that impression. Besides, if it's "most inaccurate" then how are you able to make a generalization that the 1LE will beat a GT350?
No, Every journalist drove every car (for multiple laps), and they simply take the fastest lap for the comparison. In many ways this is the most fair. While I agree a pro Pobst might be slightly more accurate these laps are still pretty good measurements of what these cars can do in customers hands.
Stock Goodyear eagle f1/ supercar/ every car in lightning lap comes with factory setup and the cars are setup with manufacturer suggestions for track test testing .extra oil tire pressures and alignment. Every manufacturer that you see represented by cars in these tests are actively involved in these tests.

This has been stated in many quotes by Chevrolet. The standard SS is now $38,400 (with destination). So either you got a crazy discount, a regular SS, or something else is off.
Mustang GT350R beat it...this is a totally track focused car too...Ford RS is the most impressive time to me...wow bottom line, you really can't get a better track car for daily driving than this SS 1LE...It is by far the best bang for the buck! Still think its a little pricey since this is only the 1ss and not the 2ss... No matter the car you buy, everyone has to admit, its an awesome time for car nuts...

This car has too much torque and an incredibly smooth and wide power band. There is no gain in getting lower than 3rd gear on this course.

I wouldn't say meaningless, and the driver in the vid seems pretty capable, but I do wish they would hire a pro for consistency.
Those times are pretty good considering they don't have much time in those cars. They do push the less expensive cars much harder though.
