    Thank you for the beginner series. I have all the tools to heat emboss, but avoid it because I'm never sure exactly what I'm doing. This helped a lot. Thank you!

    It's my favourite thing to do, seeing the transformation never gets old. Lovely stamp too!

    Mine always end up flat, or the powder won't melt at all - even though sometimes embossing works out for me, more often than not it doesn't. Can anyone help me with this?

    How do you clean your Mysti lid and stamps when using the clear ink since it's like a glue? Two, when I use the bag thingie on dark paper I get white residue and/or a bunch of extra unwanted powder in places I don't want. What can I do to prevent this?

      We carry many cleaners: bit.ly/42rEckr that will help remove the clear ink residue. As for the powder, after your have heat embossed and your project is dry, try a microfiber cloth: bit.ly/3HJ8JCj. Hope that helps!

    Since I've been doing some embossing for a while, I found your video a good review of the basics (which I sometimes forget!) so thank you.

    Had no idea I could use pigment inks to heat emboss... I feel like an odd duck, but I love pigment inks.

    As of yet, I don't have a heating gun, can I emboss without one?

    • @Scrappicat
      @Scrappicat 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can heat emboss using an electric stove but be careful.

    Can you do one on embossing on vellum? After I heat set the powder it has a tendency to flake off. Any tips, ideas or links to videos? Thanks!

    • @jurastakaune1423
      @jurastakaune1423 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Carmen Weston try from the back/behind :) and with preheated heat gun, like 20s, before turning it on paper, with quick moves, as vellum tends to wrap quicklier than other papers

    Can you give me a link for purchasing the pad holding your paper still? I've never seen one, but after seeing your video I'm going to find one! Super video by the way, you really took this step by step and now I'm sure I can do it! Thank you!

    Hi, your video was informative is it right that one should stop the heat immediately after the shine becomes evident do you ever go over the embossing powder again to make sure it's been heated Sufficiently? Thank You☺☺☺

    • @katherinequinn4826
      @katherinequinn4826 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michelle Regis stop as soon as it turns shiny!! If you overhear it it can become dull, and will melt into the paper, making the raised effect disappear. Tipping your project in the light can help!
