I just bought a heat gun and embossing set and haven’t used it yet. I can’t wait to incorporate it into my crafting
Reading the comments, I am relieved to know that I am not the only one who has a lot of questions!
I don't want to buy supplies until I better understand how to do it! Does it stick to dry ink? Do you have to use special ink? And I really want to know why you can't use a plastic container if it was treated to be antistatic and is sold in plastic? I have watched other tutorials and I am not finding answers to these questions anywhere!
Embossing powder is not cheap but I am interested, but if I have to buy special ink and other expensive consumables, then I might have to be content with other forms of being creative.
Does mica powder work?

I'd love to help you with some of these, and I'll definitely be making a list of the questions and creating another video to address them all!
The powder won't stick to dry ink as it is attracted to the moisture when using with standard inks. Embossing ink will have a stickiness and ours is ultra slow drying also which gives you more time to emboss.
Our powder and also our pots are treated to be anti static, so if you transfer to a regular plastic tub or use a plastic spoon you will be putting static back into the powder.

Hello, you are a really good teacher, nice voice and a pace that is easily understood. I tried embossing, but the heat gun didn't do anything. I followed everything you said but didn't have any results, except to the point of putting on the embossing powder. Advice please. Jo xx

So for you to be able to emboss, do you NEED the stamps or is there another of doing our own design?
Help, I’ve just bought the opaque bright white and it’s quite grainy and not sticking to the embossing ink. I’ve tried an embossing ink pad as well as embossing dabber. What ami doing wrong?

I've got some Wow embossing powders. But everytime I use them they don't emboss. Either the page turns black the glitter disappears. Do you have any idea what i could be doing wrong?
If it is an embossing glitter, heat from behind the cardstock. This allows the powder to melt trapping the glitter. If you do it from the front, the glitter can blow off before the powder has had a chance to melt and trap the glitter 😊
I am having a hard time getting my glitter to stay on the cardstock. The powder bag leaves a lot of residue. Glitter doesn't seem to adhere. Can rub off. I don't have the same products as you. Items that I got at a local craft department store.
What about ceramic? Won't the particles of embossing power stick on mug?
I'm confused about the storage of the embossing powder as it comes in a plastic container and the storage boxes are plastic too !
How do you clean your stamp please?
Can i use a hair drier instead?

Unfortunately a hairdryer won't reach the temperature needed to emboss, and it also blows out a lot of air which is another reason it isn't heat embossing compatible,
