Brilliant one Gary. Oh yes we all love to come up with new ideas for our vans. Some clever ideas you have. Look forward to seeing it finished. All the Very Best Wishes to You Both. Take Care 🙏
Hope you’re both having a great weekend. Love the way you can reconfigure your van, suppose that’s one of the benefits of building your own. Those gadgets to start your van and pump up your tyres are great aren’t they, you always think for the size of them they would never start a van but they do - shows the energy density of Lithium. Look forward to seeing what you get for your next van. Have a great week, all the very best, David & Rachel 👍
hi David, hope you’re both doing well. Yeah, it really is handy bin out to move things around when you see fit. Have you found yourself a new van yet? I’m sure you’re going love building one out yourself. Yeah the battery chargers are brilliant. so useful and with the pump up there as well you just can’t go wrong. Take care and have a good week ahead. 👍❤️
if you drill holes for ventilation, put a 2-3 inch computer fan so you get air circulation, you can put a small switch on it so it doesn't run all the time.
Those Victron MPPT and DC-DC chargers don get much passive cooling when installed horisontally. Put them vertically, hot air rises and radiator can dissipate heat.
Rounded any corners because everyone is an accident in the middle of the night. Maybe rubber floor mats everywhere. A mural on the white wall would look nice. There's some nice wallpaper type pictures you could buy. maybe even star gaze for the roof. Maybe even a white-board to write on, although they are heavy. Always large blacked out windows. Clearly no TV, in there! Maybe surround sound type speakers, unsure. Wiring is good, can even be wrapped in spiral plastic. Still prefer instant hot as opposed to water tank, since it's smaller. Tiny type in built draw is good for money/keys/secure item. Ideally somewhat hidden. A laptop shelf or swing up table. Was there a fridge? Anyway they are too heavy, and always powered which is irritating. Oh, a shoe cubby area, shoes smell at night, nice to close them off especially if dirty. Not sure if I saw a mirror, but thin mirror like light stuff exists to buy. Plus they make it look bigger inside. A swing down shelf here and there. Some clips on walls to temporarily make a clothes line hanger if needed. I could go on, but it's all just personal ideas.
I absolutely love getting messages from you so many interesting ideas to consider. I will definitely be taking a few of those on board. I’m still unable to find an instant hot water heater that can power a shower.!! if I could find one, I would switched from my electric water heater. Although the set up that I’ve got provides me with a super powerful shower and it’s red hot. 😂
@@TravelwithGaryandAmika I had a small (say a shoe box size in height) gas (those very small bottle gas) for my showers. Instant hot means instant hot! It was too hot!! Thankfully there was a dial on it to make it normal shower heat. The cold water pump had its own powered switch (clearly outside of the shower). It was non stop nice and warm water I used 20 litre containers, yes I ran them dry, probably should have combined 2 water containers. Always perfect temperature, and 'instant hot' which I even couldn't believe at first. So: Instant hot retagular box thingy, Water pump for sink and shower. 20litre water container (clearly holding cold or ambient temperature water). Oh and 1 of those fat small gas bottles (locked up in its own box outside). I heard too many HWS huge and heavy, contains sometimes blow! Like everything up! No way I wanted that in my camper. Plus the gas bottle was also used for cooking (gas plates) and I even used them to warm up the camper from the gas hotplates! Um not advisable as the roof gets mega hot, I knew how to time it just right.
Just a thought Gary...... Make the next one out of Lego!!!!!! Then you can change it as many times as you want.....🤣🤣🤣...... I do hope you are both Well and Happy...... :-)) xx
Resepct for the big changes, electrics look waysmarter, though just noticed your DC to DC is a fire risk. It needs to be vertical, with a 10cm clearance top and bottom, placed on a non flammable surface.
@@TravelwithGaryandAmika no worries fella. I put mine ontop of an A4 size of galvanished steel sheet which distributes that heat better. Victron reccomend its better to keep the dc charger to be placed closer to the batteries you are charging.
Yeah I did read that. I'll have a think, the seat to the right has a lot of free space. maybe I use the seat frame and make a big heat sink from steel and then mount it vertically.

Glad you enjoyed it mate. Hope your doing well
Massive improvements Gary. Cupboards would be a great idea, they hide many sins lol. ❤ xx

Great idea. Thanks!
ADHD
Side quests are winning here I feel 😂
Great to see you keeping busy Gary. :)
I commented earlier but I'm not ADHD effected, just lived in a camper for really 2 years (fulltime) so camper people have lots of ideas to share.
Haha!!! Probably right!
Tools out, best fighting trousers on, let the building commence (hope you get the Blackadder reference).
Love this 😂😂😂😂
looking forward to seeing the finished project Gary. ps thanks for the info on inster about the thermal sheet, ilove it and works a treat.Maxxx
Ah that's great to hear. It's a really good buy isn't it. I'm thinking of adding some to the rear doors also
@ sounds like a plan Gary and it’s nice that it’s not expensive either. Maxx
You look as though you're keeping busy😄
As always 😂

Thanks. It's currently disabled as its being moved on to a vertical heat sink soon 😊 this setup was vertically mounted in the rear before

Thank you for this. Completely overlooked that trying to make it all fit in one place. I will get it moved! Perhaps under the passenger seat
