    I've only ever seen this once at an Aladdin's Castle back around 92'. I was 15 and it blew my mind.

      @@ElectricStarshipArcade I miss that place... I remember when it had that big shooting gallery under the stairs. Spent a lot of time there, and Tornado Terry's back then.

      @@CoryB_1980 I talk about the big shooting gallery pirate ship and that underground Tilt at least once a week at the Starship. I saw so many games for the first time there.

    I remember playing this when it first came out. I would to play the part where there is a hostage or person you’re supposed to save I think? But I the actors Death was hilarious and after that I couldn’t stop doing it 😅

    I’m amazed the LaserDisc player on this arcade machine holds up still. I got 4 Pioneer LaserDisc players at home with 450 movies. I gotta see this game in person when my wife and I come back to ESA. Just mega cool to see.

    This thing was at the Family Fun Center in Prince George, BC and West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, AB; i thought it was one of the coolest things there but it was so expensive to play. But it stayed with me in the head all these years.

    I played so much with this arcade. I used to work at an arcade distributer in early 2000 and I sold one on the internet to a brit guy. I remember it cost alsmot 2000$ of shipping from Quebec to England. I loved that game so much back in the early 90’s. Still fun if not for too long. The hologram is as good as what we see now in VR.
    To increase the illusion, we re-created the 3D shapes in styrofoam and painted them with fluorescent paint.

    I managed a Tilt out here in California from 1992-97 , we had Time traveler , the base board area chipped almost always on these things from people feet and etc hitting it.The diagnostic menu is fun on this game, I cant recall which characters talked to you but they were part of it when changing settings. We had at the time spare blocks, i think one was taken off by someone and we had got a new set through the company so we had spares of some of them laying around in the back room.i had to repair all our machines , and also did kits ,changing out games in cabinets, had to do pretty much all the maintenance on them. Watching your videos is partly fun but also at times ptsd, (jk) lol

      @@ElectricStarshipArcade When I started it was soon after the original MK came out and SF Champ Ed., we had both a blue and a red cabinet for that one. I was there when MKII came out in which we had two of them, and both had their motherboards stolen out of them which was quite a feat.But i was there when Tekken came out, Virtual Fighter, Area 51, Primal Rage, Pinballs Like Bram Stokers Dracula, Twilight Zone, Lethal Weapon, just to name a few..

    what a game that was, I wasted so many coins on that one. worth it looks awsome. I thought at the time that holographic gaming was the future but it turns out saga was on their own path and the future is realistic graphics. At the time it seemed like high tech.

    Bro @ 4:03 That's a TOTALLY DIFFERENT GAME ..... that is Holosseum (which I've never seen IRL, only references online) but I remember Time Traveler when I was a kid and there were only 3 or 4 blocks... I think just a triangle, rectangle and sphere.... but don't quote me on that..... lol it was FOR SURE not the Holosseum setup tho

    • @Nobe_Oddy
      @Nobe_Oddy 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      but of course memory is flawed lol....

    • @Nobe_Oddy
      @Nobe_Oddy 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do remember one of the characters walking out from behind one of the blocks (or at least I expected that to happen) but I feel like some of the blocks where in the middle of the play area, not ALL around the edge.... but I do remember seeing one or two of those spaces around the edge with no blocks in them and a spot of glue.. like they came off and were glued onto the play area..... and if you did put on in the play area it would appear like they came out from behind the block - depending on where it is.... so the only machine that I ever got to see (and only played like twice because it cost a whole dollar, but the other actually GOOD games were only $0.50 at the time, so I learned not to waste my money on a game that honestly SUCKED compared to everything else - no offence lol ) was on the Jersey boardwalk that I only was able to play during the summer MUST have had its blocks knocked/broken/pulled off and placed on the play field where I think a woman walked onto the play field from behind on of them.....
      Or maybe not.... I can't remember really :)

      @Nobe_Oddy 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      okay WOW was I wrong!! lmao after seeing some game play I know where I got the idea of someone coming out from behind one of the shapes - it was that guy coming out from behind the barrell in 1872 lol WOW memory is a STRANGE THING... especially after 30 years :) ... Now I was move to Texas even more!!!! :D

      Look into arcade laser disc games. Most of them work similar to what you described
