It was like Band of Brothers--full of not too well known actors who were going to become World Famous very soon. Funny story from the extras of This particular DVD: the actors who had to play as Rangers got a quick & dirty Ranger training, by some of the very same guys who were in Mogadishu; the actors playing Delta guys got to forgo the 'regular' training' & got to go right to rigging C4 & blowing things up--but they too were trained by Delta Men who fought on this mission as well.
This movie and Saving Private Ryan should be required viewing in high schools in the U.S. People think military service and combat is about glory and honor but what it comes down to is becoming part of a team that you care about so much that you're willing to go through hell to protect each other. That's why Americans fight so hard in the face of the worst circumstances and what many can't understand.

Truth Black Hawk Down 1993 Thanks to Royal Malaysia Regiment ( Mechanised ) as QRF in Somalia then, who put their troopers life on the line to saves the very life of stranded American Rangers and Special Force and bring most of them out safely.Rest in peace Lance Corporal Aznan Mat Awang, the trooper driver of Malaysia condor that sacrifice his life to ensured the survival of his Malaysian troopers and US personnels in his APC.Malaysia APC stayed for hours to ensured every surviving members of Malaysian and US personnels are brought out either dead or alive for nobody will be left behind.The truth should not be reprossed or erased for the convenient of others.

I’m from Louisiana..Eric bana’s southern accent was the best I’ve heard from someone trying replicate it still to this day. Fuckin sounded natural as hell. Daniel Craig did one in Logan lucky that was really damn good too..way more informal and trashy but probably more technical.
Oh! Is it a Louisiana accent he’s specifically replicating? That great to know! I cant discern easily between different types of southern accent (I’m English) but I definitely can tell that Bana is a gifted mimic! His English accents are always spot on as well. He was the coolest as Hoot. :)
